Marowak -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Marowak Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Marowak from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Marowak is a stage 1, fighting type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100.  It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to electric type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Marowak does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, its first move is called Bone Lock and for one fighting energy card, this move does 30 damage plus makes your opponent's active Pokemon unable to retreat during their next turn.  Marowak's second move is called Vortex Chop and for three energy cards, two colorless and one fighting, this move does 60 damage plus 30 more damage if the defending Pokemon has any resistance.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Marowak is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Cubone into play (I reviewed Cubone from this set yesterday) and then evolve Cubone into Marowak.  If you read yesterday's review, I think Cubone is an excellent starter Pokemon so it should probably be in your active Pokemon spot when you evolve Cubone into Marowak, once you have Marowak in the active Pokemon spot, I would add one more energy card to Marowak so you have three, then use 60 damage every turn, I would make sure to have Marowak in the active Pokemon spot if the defending Pokemon had any type of resistance on it, that way Vortex Chop could do 90 damage every turn.  The only time I would use Bone Lock is if I didn't have enough energy cards on Marowak to use Vortex Chop, or you need to make sure the defending Pokemon can't retreat the next turn so you can knock it out and win the game.  I would recommend using a 2-1 line of Cubone and Marowak in a fighting type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an above average stage 1 Pokemon card.  This means that both the Pokemon in this line from Dragons Exalted are both above average and I would definitely recommend using this line in your deck.  What I specifically like about this card is that it has a good hp, low retreat cost, and two great moves, Bone Lock is quick and can pack a wallop, Vortex Chop takes some time but with some patience and your opponent having a resistance, this card is a well above average move.

Cubone -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Cubone Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Cubone from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Cubone is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card, with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to electric type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Cubone does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Headbutt and for one fighting energy card, this move does 10 damage.  Cubone's second move is called Beat and for two colorless energy cards this move does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, even though Cubone has a stage 1 evolution in Marowak, and there is a Marowak in this set (I'll be reviewing that card tomorrow), I would definitely recommend moving in Cubone from your bench to your active Pokemon spot as soon as you can in the game.  The reasons for this would be that Cubone has a fairly high hp, and two quick, efficient moves, that can do a fair amount of damage to other, weaker basic Pokemon early in games.  Plus, you can attach two energy cards to Cubone and then set up the rest of your team on the bench, and if Cubone gets in trouble you can either retreat it for one energy card or evolve it into Marowak.  If you only want to use Cubone in a deck, I would put 1 or 2 Cubone's in a fighting type deck, but since Beat requires two colorless energy cards this card could work well in most decks.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an above average basic Pokemon card.  I like that it has a good hp, but still has an evolution, and is quick to attack, both moves doing damage and neither move requiring more than 2 energy cards.  So I would definitely recommend using this card in battle, stay tuned for tomorrow's review to see if I recommend using this card would its evolution in Marowak.

Golurk -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Golurk Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Golurk from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Golurk is a stage 1, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 130.  It has a x2 weakness to darkness type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a four colorless energy card retreat cost.  Golurk does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, its first move is called Devolution Punch and for three energy cards, two colorless and one psychic, this move does 60 damage plus it devolves your opponent's active opponent and makes them put their highest stage evolution card on their active Pokemon back into their hand.  Golurk's second move is called Ghost Hammer and for four energy cards, two each of psychic and colorless, this move does 90 damage, plus when your opponent attacks Golurk the next turn, Golurk no longer has a weakness.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Golurk is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll have to first put Golett on your bench and then evolve Golett into Golurk.  There is one Golett card in this set and I reviewed that card yesterday.  I would definitely keep Golett on the bench the entire time before evolving it into Golurk, even when I do evolve Golett into Golurk I would still keep Golurk on the bench until it gets at least three energy cards on it, once Golurk has three energy cards on it, and your opponent's active Pokemon is a stage 1 or stage 2 Pokemon, I would move Golurk into the active Pokemon spot and then use Devolution Punch.  The reason I would use Devolution Punch in this scenario is that by doing 60 damage and devolving the defending Pokemon I will more than likely be able to knock it out.  But if this isn't the scenario that you're in, I would use Ghost Hammer every turn because it does 30 more damage per turn than what Devolution Punch can do.  I would include Golurk in a psychic type deck, and include either a 2-2 or 1-1 line of Golett and Golurk in that deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an above average stage 1 Pokemon card.  Even though this card will take a while to use and has a high retreat cost, I still think both of Golurk's moves make this card better than average.  I like how one move can do major damage every turn and the other move can devolve your opponent's Pokemon and ruin their strategy in the meantime.  So I would definitely recommend using this card in a psychic type deck.

Golett -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Golett Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Golett from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Golett is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to darkness type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Golett does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Nap which requires two colorless energy cards and removes 40 damage from Golett.  Golett's second move is called Pound and for three energy cards, two colorless and one psychic, this move does 40 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Golett has a stage 1 evolution in Golurk, I would suggest evolving Golett into Golurk as soon as possible because evolution cards are usually better.  This card wouldn't be an ideal starter card because it is pretty slow, but if you get a few energy cards on this card on your bench it wouldn't be that bad to put it into the active Pokemon spot because you can do 40 damage every turn with Pound and if you get a lot of damage on Golett you can use Nap which will remove a good chunk of damage.  I would try and include this card with Golurk in a psychic type deck, I would not use this card on its own because like I said earlier, this card is pretty slow and won't be a good basic Pokemon card to start a game with.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average, basic Pokemon card.  Even though it has a good hp, it has a high retreat cost, two slow moves, and one move that doesn't do much damage for three energy cards.  So I would recommend either evolving Golett into Golurk immediately or leaving Golett out of your deck completely.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:

Gothitelle -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Gothitelle Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Gothitelle from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Gothitelle is a stage 2, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 130.  Gothitelle is the stage 2 evolution of Gothorita, and before that Gothita, both of those Pokemon I have reviewed the past couple of days, and both of those Pokemon are in this set.  Gothitelle has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Gothitelle does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves, the first move is called Doom Decree and requires two energy cards, one each of colorless and psychic.  This move knocks out the defending Pokemon if you get two heads when you flip two coins.  Gothitelle's second move is called Black Magic and for three energy cards, two colorless and one psychic, this move does 40 damage plus 20 more damage for each of your opponent's benched Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Gothitelle is a stage 2 Pokemon, I would recommend evolving Gothita into Gothorita and Gothorita into Gothitelle on the bench, once you get three energy cards attached to Gothitelle I would move it into the active Pokemon spot and use Black Magic every turn.  It would be best for you to use Black Magic when your opponent has a full bench so you can do at least 60 damage every turn which is the average damage a move that requires three energy cards usually does.  The only time I would use Doom Decree would be if I couldn't knock the defending Pokemon out in two turns using Black Magic, then I would try my luck and use Doom Decree.  Since neither of the other two Pokemon in this evolution line are any good, I would use the least amount of them as possible in your deck to use Gothitelle, if possible I would recommend using a 2-2-1 line of Gothita, Gothorita, and Gothitelle in a psychic type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a very average stage 2 Pokemon card.  It has a low hp, and average retreat cost, and two average to above average moves.  Both moves are pretty bad unless your opponent has a lot of Pokemon on their bench or your luck is great during the game, if either of these cases are true, Gothitelle can do a great amount of damage and will be an amazing card for you, if not, this card will stink.

Gothorita -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Gothorita Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Gothorita from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Gothorita is a stage 1, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 80.  Gothorita is the stage 1 evolution of Gothita, there is a Gothita card in this set and I reviewed that card yesterday, Gothorita's stage 2 evolution is Gothitelle and I'll be reviewing that card tomorrow.  Gothorita has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Gothorita does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Hypnoblast which requires one psychic energy card and does 10 damage plus it puts the defending Pokemon to sleep.  Gothorita's second move is called Mind Shock and for three energy cards, two colorless and one psychic, this move does 40 damage and this move isn't affected by weakness or resistance.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a stage 1 Pokemon, you'll first have to evolve Gothita into Gothorita to use this card.  You can actually put Gothita into the active Pokemon spot since it isn't too bad of a card, but I would recommend keeping it on your bench and evolving it into Gothorita, once that happens I would still recommend keeping this Pokemon on the bench because it doesn't have a very high hp and neither of its moves can do much damage, at least for the amount of energy that it requires.  I would recommend getting three energy cards on Gothorita, evolving it into Gothitelle and then moving actually moving it into the active Pokemon spot.  If I had to put Gothorita into the active Pokemon spot, my strategy would be to use Hynoblast first to put the defending Pokemon to sleep, then use Mind Shock every turn after that.  I would not use Gothita and Gothorita in a deck on their own, I would only use this Pokemon line if I wanted to use Gothitelle.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  This is a well below average, stage 1 Pokemon card.  I would stay away from this card at all costs...unless of course you want to use Gothitelle, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow.  This card has way too low of hp, and two terrible moves, so I would not ever put this card into the active Pokemon spot if I didn't have to.

Gothita -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Gothita Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Gothita from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Gothita is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Gothita does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Future Sight which requires one psychic energy card and allows you to look at the top 5 cards of your deck put them back on top of your deck in any order.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Gothita has a stage 1 evolution in Gothorita, and a stage 2 evolution in Gothitelle, there is absolutely no reason to put this card into the active Pokemon spot if it hasn't evolved into at least its stage 1 evolution.  My main reason for saying this is that Gothita cannot do any damage at all, and you can easily perform Future Sight by using a combination of trainer and supporter cards.  So after just reviewing this card, I cannot recommend using Gothita on its own.  Strategy wise if you put Gothita into the active Pokemon spot, you have to hope you can evolve it immediately, otherwise if you can't, you have no choice to perform Future Sight every turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a very poor basic Pokemon card.  It has below average hp, and has one terrible move that can't do any damage at all.  This is a card you'll never want to have to put in the active Pokemon spot, and if you do, especially against a stage 1 or stage 2 Pokemon, this card will be knocked out in no time.

Garbodor -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Garbodor Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Garbodor from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Garbodor is a stage 1, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Garbodor's Ability is called Garbotoxin and says that if this Pokemon has a Pokemon tool card attached to it, no Pokemon in the game at all, excluding Garbodor has an Ability.  Besides the Ability, Garbodor has one move called Sludge Toss which requires three energy cards, two psychic and one colorless, and does 60 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Garbodor is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll have to first put Trubbish on your bench and then evolve Trubbish into Garbodor.  There is one Trubbish card in this set and I reviewed that card yesterday.  I would mainly keep Garbodor on the bench so I could utilize its Ability, that way if my opponent relies heavily on using an Ability, I can invoke Garbotoxin and they can no longer use their Ability, if you put Garbodor in the active Pokemon spot you have no choice but to use Sludge Toss every turn.  I would include this card in a psychic type deck, unless you only want to use Garbodor for its Ability then you can include it in any deck type you want.  I would use a 2-1 or 2-2 line of Trubbish and Garbodor.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a slightly below average, stage 1 Pokemon card.  Even though it does have a good hp, it is slow, only does average damage, and has a high retreat cost.  Garbodor's Ability may really be useful if your opponent uses a lot of Ability's but if they don't, this card really doesn't do much than doing standard damage every turn.

Trubbish -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Trubbish Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Trubbish from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Trubbish is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to psychc type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Trubbish does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Pound which requires two colorless energy cards and does 20 damage.  Trubbish's second move is called Poison Gas and for three energy cards, two colorless and one psychic, this move does 30 damage and poisons the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Trubbish has a stage 1 evolution in Garbodor, I would suggest evolving Trubbish into Garbodor as soon as possible because evolution cards are usually better.  This card wouldn't be an ideal starter card because it is pretty slow, but if you get a few energy cards on this card on your bench it wouldn't be that bad to put it into the active Pokemon spot.  Depending on how many energy cards you have will determine which move you can use, but I would recommend using Poison Gas every turn.  I would try and include this card with Garbodor, but if you want to use this card on its own, I would recommend putting one in a psychic type deck that includes Pokemon that inflict a lot of special conditions.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  Like I said in the strategy section of this review, this card isn't great as a starter Pokemon, but it is solid as a basic Pokemon, it has an above average hp, and two decent moves.  Nothing is out of the ordinary on this card, that is why I'm giving it an average rating, you'll have to stay tuned to read tomorrow's review to see if you should use Trubbish and Garbodor in your deck.

Sigilyph -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Sigilyph Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Sigilyph from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Sigilyph is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Sigilyph's Ability is called Safeguard and says that all effects of attacks are prevented from Sigilyph if a Pokemon EX is attacking it.  Besides the Ability, Sigilyph has one move called Psychic which requires three energy cards, two colorless and one psychic, and does 50 damage plus 10 more damage for each energy card attached to the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a basic Pokemon card with no evolutions, you only need to include this card in the deck if you want to use it.  I would recommend getting Sigilyph onto your bench as soon as possible so that you can take advantage of its Ability, as soon as your opponent puts an EX Pokemon into the active Pokemon spot I would move Sigilyph into the active Pokemon spot.  If your opponent isn't using an EX card, I would wait and move Sigilyph into the active Pokemon spot once it has three energy cards on it and your opponent has a Pokemon in the active Pokemon spot that has at least two energy cards on it, that way, you can move Sigilyph into the active Pokemon spot and do 70 damage with Psychic.  I would not put more than 2 Sigilyph cards in a psychic type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, I think Sigilyph is a great basic Pokemon card.  I like that it has a high hp, low retreat cost, an extraordinary Ability (if you're facing EX Pokemon) and a move that does more damage the more energy cards attached to the defending Pokemon.  So I would recommend using this card for sure, and that's why I'm giving this card an above average rating.

Drifblim -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Drifblim Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Drifblim from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Drifblim is a stage 1, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100.  It has a x2 weakness to darkness type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Drifblim does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Shadow Steal and for one colorless energy card this move does 50 damage times the number of special energy cards in your opponent's discard pile.  Drifblim's second move is called Plentiful Placement which requires two energy cards, one each of psychic and colorless, and does 40 damage to one of your opponent's Pokemon of your choosing.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Drifblim is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll have to first put Drifloon on your bench and then evolve Drifloon into Drifblim.  There are two Drifloon cards from this set and I reviewed both of those cards the previous two days, both cards are good, but I would suggest the one numbered 49 so that that card can spread damage and then this card can spread damage too.  I would include this card in a psychic type deck that has other Pokemon that can spread damage around.  I would use Plentiful Placement all the time unless for some strange reason your opponent has a lot of special energy cards in their discard pile, then I would use Shadow Steal.  I would suggest using a 2-2 line of Drifloon and Drifblim in a psychic type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a slightly above average, stage 1 Pokemon card.  I like how it has an above average hp, low retreat cost, and one great move in Plentiful Placement, and one potentially great but more than likely useless move in Shadow Steal.  So I would definitely recommend using this Pokemon line in any psychic type deck.

Drifloon #50/124 -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Drifloon Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Drifloon from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  This is the second of two Drifloon cards I'll be reviewing from this set, the other one from this set I reviewed yesterday.  Drifloon is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to darkness type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Drifloon does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Beat and for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage.  Drifloon's second move is called Gust and for two energy cards, one each of colorless and psychic, this move does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Drifloon has a stage 1 evolution in Drifblim, I would suggest evolving Drifloon into Drifblim as soon as possible because evolution cards are usually better.  But with this card, like yesterday's Drifloon card, I would definitely be okay with moving this card into the active Pokemon spot right away because I think this is an excellent starter card.  I would put two energy cards on Drifloon and do 20 damage every turn with Gust.  I would try and get this card into the active Pokemon spot at the start of the game because this card is quick and does a good amount of damage for a basic Pokemon card.  Depending on the type of deck you are using will determine which Drifloon card you should use, if you want a solid basic Pokemon card I would suggest using this one, if you have a deck full of spread damage type Pokemon I would use yesterday's Drifloon card.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a pretty solid basic Pokemon card. It has an average hp, good retreat cost, and two very good moves for a basic Pokemon card.  So after reviewing the two Drifloon cards from this set, I think they are both very good, and I would recommend using either of these cards in a psychic type deck.

Drifloon #49/124 -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Drifloon Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Drifloon from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  This is the first of two Drifloon cards I'll be reviewing from this set, the other one from this set I'll be reviewing tomorrow.  Drifloon is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to darkness type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Drifloon does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Sneaky Placement which takes one psychic energy card and lets you put one damage counter on one of your opponent's Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Drifloon has a stage 1 evolution in Drifblim, I would suggest evolving Drifloon into Drifblim as soon as possible because evolution cards are usually better.  But with this card, I could definitely see it being used on its own in a deck, because it is a good starter Pokemon.  You can put Drifloon into the active Pokemon spot immediately and attack as soon as you get one energy card on it.  You only need one energy card on this card because that's all this card requires.  A good strategy to use with this card is to include this card in a deck that has plenty of Pokemon that does spread damage, that way you can start to spread damage around starting with this card and moving on to more powerful Pokemon later in the game.  I would suggest putting 1 or 2 Drifloon cards in a psychic type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a pretty solid basic Pokemon card. It has an average hp, good retreat cost, and one solid move that spreads damage and is quick to use.  I wish this card would have another move, or have an Ability, but I still think it is a solid card and wouldn't be afraid to include this card in a deck of mine.

Mew EX -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Mew EX Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Mew EX from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Mew is a basic, EX, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 120.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Mew's Ability is called Versatile and says that Mew can use any attack of any Pokemon in play, you just have to match the energy card cost for that move.  Besides the Ability, Mew EX has one move called Replace which requires one psychic energy card and allows you to move any of the energy cards you have attached to any of your Pokemon in any way you like.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, Mew EX really reminds me of Ditto, it can use any move from any other Pokemon, but Mew EX is better than Ditto because in addition to using any move it likes, it can move energy from one of your Pokemon to another very quickly.  So strategy wise, since Mew EX is an EX Pokemon card, you'll have to remember that if this card gets knocked out your opponent will get to take two prize cards instead of one, but that shouldn't be a problem since Mew EX can retreat for only one energy card.  I would probably keep Mew EX on the bench, and move it into the active Pokemon spot to either use one of your Pokemon's great moves right away, or more than likely to use Replace for a turn, move many of your energy cards in play to one Pokemon and then retreat Mew EX the next turn and put in that Pokemon you just moved all the energy cards to, that way you can attack immediately with that Pokemon, regardless if it requires 4 or 5 energy cards and you didn't have any energy cards attached to it the previous turn.  I would include in a deck that has Mew EX, many Pokemon that have powerful attacks and require good amounts of energy cards to attack, that way you can do a ton of damage with the aid of Mew with any card in your deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  Even though this card can't explicitly do a stated amount of damage, I still am going to give this card an above average rating because it can greatly increase the power and quickness of your deck, and since Mew EX only has a one energy card retreat cost, there should be no reason why Mew EX can't help your deck since it can go into the active Pokemon spot and attack one turn and retreat the next very easily.

Emolga -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Emolga Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Emolga from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Emolga is a basic, electric type Pokemon card, with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to electric type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a free retreat cost.  Emolga does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves, the first move is called Call for Family, this move requires one colorless energy card and allows you to search your deck for 2 basic Pokemon and put them onto your bench.  Emolga's second move is called Static Shock and for one electric energy card this move does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a basic Pokemon card with no evolutions, I would recommend putting Emolga into play as soon as you can, preferably very early in the game, so you can use this card as a starter Pokemon card.  I would use Static Shock mostly, so I could do good damage to my opponent's basic Pokemon, while not having to attach additional energy to Emolga each turn I could spend time on setting up my bench.  And for some reason, if you don't have many basic Pokemon on your bench early in the game, you may want to use Call for Family, but I would rather use a trainer card for this move instead of wasting a turn using this move and not being able to do damage.  I would include one of these cards in an electric type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a very solid basic Pokemon card.  It has two moves which is always a plus, a free retreat cost, and is very quick.  This card would be an excellent starter card for an electric type deck, and should definitely be in almost every electric type deck out there.

Manectric #44/124 -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Manectric Dark Explorers Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Manectric from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  This is the second of two Manectric cards I'll be reviewing from this set, the other one from this set I reviewed yesterday.  Manectric is a stage 1, electric type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Manectric does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Energy Assist and for one electric energy card this move allows you to attach two energy cards from your discard pile to one of your benched Pokemon.  Manectric's second move is called Quick Attack, this move requires two energy cards, one each of colorless and electric, and does 30 damage plus 20 more damage if you get a heads when you flip a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Manectric is a stage 1 Pokemon, you'll need to get Electrike on your bench before you can use Manectric.  There are two Electrike cards in this set, and I reviewed both of those cards in the past three days.  I would recommend using the Electrike card numbered 41/124, it is much better in my opinion and can be put into the active Pokemon spot immediately if need be.  But if possible, I would keep Electrike on the bench, evolve it into Manectric, and then keep Manectric on the bench, attach two energy cards to it, then move it into the active Pokemon spot.  Once this card is in the active Pokemon spot, I would use Quick Attack most of the time, unless I had a Pokemon on the bench that required a massive amount of energy, then I would consider using Energy Assist instead of Quick Attack every turn.  In my opinion, strategy doesn't matter too much with this card, because I would always recommend the Manectric card I reviewed yesterday over this card, so just like yesterday's review, I would use a 2-2 or 2-1 line of Electrike and Manectric, I would use the cards numbered 41 and 43.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average stage 1 Pokemon card, especially in comparison to yesterday's Manectric card, this card is much worse.  This card doesn't have a free retreat cost, and neither of its moves are as good as yesterday's card.  So like I said in the strategy section of this review, do not use this card unless you have to for some odd reason, always use the other Manectric card in this set instead of this one.

Manectric #43/124 -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Manectric Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Manectric from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  This is the first of two Manectric cards I'll be reviewing from this set, the other one from this set I'll be reviewing tomorrow.  Manectric is a stage 1, electric type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a free retreat cost.  Manectric does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Energy Crush and for one electric energy card, this move does 20 damage times the number of energy attached to all of your opponent's Pokemon.  Manectric's second move is called Flash Impact and for three energy cards, two colorless and one electric, this move does 80 damage, unfortunately this move also does 20 damage to one of your own Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Manectric is a stage 1 Pokemon, you'll need to get Electrike on your bench before you can use Manectric.  There are two Electrike cards in this set, and I reviewed both of those cards the past two days.  I would recommend using the Electrike card numbered 41/124, it is much better in my opinion and can be put into the active Pokemon spot immediately if need be.  But if possible, I would keep Electrike on the bench, evolve it into Manectric, and then keep Manectric on the bench, attach one energy card to it, and wait until your opponent has many energy cards attached to their Pokemon, I would then move Manectric into the active Pokemon spot, use Energy Crush, and retreat it for free as needed.  I wouldn't use Flash Impact at all, unless you are late in the game and you have to use Manectric for a long period of time, plus your opponent doesn't have much Pokemon in play or energy cards attached to their Pokemon.  I would use this card in an electric type deck, and try to incorporate other Pokemon that have free retreat costs.  As of now, I would suggest using a 2-1 or 2-2 line of the Electrike I mentioned earlier and this Manectric card.  Check back for tomorrow's review to see if I change my strategy related to this card.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an above average, stage 1 Pokemon card.  What I really like about this card is that it has a free retreat cost, is extremely fast, and can do a major amount of energy.  Plus it prevents your opponent from attaching so many energy cards to their Pokemon, because the more they attach to their Pokemon, the more damage Energy Crush can do.  So if you're looking for a Pokemon line to include in an electric type deck, I would definitely recommend using this one.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:

Electrike #42/124 -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Electrike Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Electrike from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  This is the second of two Electrike cards I'll be reviewing from this set, the other one from this set I reviewed yesterday.  Electrike is a basic, electric type Pokemon card, with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Electrike does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Quick Turn which takes two energy cards, one each of electric and colorless, and does 20 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip two coins.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Electrike has a stage 1 evolution in Manectric, I would suggest evolving Electrike into Manectric as soon as possible because evolution cards are usually better.  If you are going to use this version of Electrike in your deck, I would definitely suggest keeping it on your bench until you can evolve it into Manectric.  If you have to put this card into the active Pokemon spot you have no choice but to attach two energy cards to it and use Quick Turn every turn.  I would not use this card by itself in a deck, I would always pair it with Manectric.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is definitely the worse of the two Electrike cards from this set.  This card only has one move, yesterday's card had two moves, and even though this card has the potential to do 40 damage, it may end up not being able to do any damage at all every turn, so I would definitely recommend using the other Electrike card in this set over this one.

Electrike #41/124 -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Electrike 41/124 Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Electrike from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  This is the first of two Electrike cards I'll be reviewing from this set, the other one from this set I'll be reviewing tomorrow.  Electrike is a basic, electric type Pokemon card, with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Electrike does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Tackle and for one electric energy card this move does 10 damage.  Electrike's second move is called Quick Attack and for two energy cards, one each of electric and colorless, this move does 10 damage plus 20 more damage if you get a heads when you flip a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Electrike has a stage 1 evolution in Manectric, I would suggest evolving Electrike into Manectric as soon as possible because evolution cards are usually better.  But with this card, I could definitely see it being used on its own in a deck, because it is a good starter Pokemon.  You can put Electrike into the active Pokemon spot immediately and attack as soon as you get one energy card on it.  I would put two energy cards on Electrike and use Quick Attack every turn, just for the possibility of being able to do 30 damage per turn.  Tomorrow I'll be reviewing another Electrike card, so I'll be able to compare it to this one, but if you want to I could see having 1 or 2 Electrike cards in an electric type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a pretty solid basic Pokemon card. It has an average hp, good retreat cost, and two solid moves.  Too bad Quick Attack couldn't always do 30 damage, then this card would be that much better.  But as it is, this is a great starter Pokemon card that could be used to get your deck off to a great start.

Ampharos -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Ampharos Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Ampharos from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Ampharos is a stage 2, electric type Pokemon card, with an hp of 140.  Ampharos is the stage 2 evolution of Flaaffy, and before that Mareep, both of those Pokemon I have reviewed the past couple of days, and both of those Pokemon are in this set.  Ampharos has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Ampharos's Ability is called Electromagnetic Wall and says that as long as Ampharos is your active Pokemon whenever your opponent attaches an energy card from their hand to one of their Pokemon you may put three damage counters on the Pokemon they attach that energy card to.  Besides the Ability, Ampharos has one move called Electrobullet which requires three energy cards, two colorless and one electric and does 70 damage plus 20 damage to one of your opponent's benched Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Ampharos is a stage 2 Pokemon, I would recommend evolving Mareep into Flaaffy and Flaaffy into Ampharos on the bench, once you get three energy cards attached to Ampharos I would move it into the active Pokemon spot and use Electrobullet every turn.  Because Ampharos's Ability is so good, I would recommend getting Ampharos into the active Pokemon spot as soon as possible and having either Pokemon in your deck or supporter/trainer cards that will allow you to remove energy from Ampharos so it can stay in the active Pokemon spot as long as possible.  The earlier you get Ampharos into the active Pokemon spot the less likely your opponent will attach energy cards to their Pokemon, because by attaching two energy cards to a basic Pokemon card, they could end up knocking it out, especially if you do 20 damage to that Pokemon when using Electrobullet.  Ampharos is definitely a Pokemon you can base a deck around, I would use a 4-3-2 line of Mareep, Flaaffy, and Ampharos in a deck.  Like I said earlier, I would include some trainers to remove damage, and a Pokemon or two that can do some spread damage to benefit Electrobullet.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an awesome stage 2 Pokemon card, it has a great hp, low retreat cost, great Ability, and above average move, there really isn't anything not to like about this card.  Any electric type deck you're thinking of making, I would definitely include this Pokemon line in that deck.

Flaaffy -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Flaaffy Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Flaaffy from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Flaaffy is a stage 1, electric type Pokemon card, with an hp of 80.  Flaaffy is the stage 1 evolution of Mareep, there is a Mareep card in this set and I reviewed that card yesterday, Flaaffy's stage 2 evolution is Ampharos and I'll be reviewing that card tomorrow.  Flaaffy has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Flaaffy does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Cotton Guard and for one colorless energy card this move does 20 damage and reduces any attacks done to Flaaffy during its next turn by 20.  Flaaffy's second move is called Power Gem and for three energy cards, two colorless and one electric, this move does 40 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a stage 1 Pokemon, you'll first have to evolve Mareep into Flaaffy to use this card.  Like I said yesterday, you'll want to keep Mareep on the bench until you evolve it into Flaaffy, once that happens I would still recommend keeping this Pokemon on the bench because it doesn't have a very high hp and neither of its moves can do much damage, at least for the amount of energy that it requires.  I would recommend getting three energy cards on Flaaffy, evolving it into Ampharos and then moving actually moving it into the active Pokemon spot and taking advantage of Ampharos's Ability.  If I had to put Flaaffy into the active Pokemon spot, my strategy would be similar to yesterday's Mareep strategy, I would use Power Gem every turn unless using Cotton Guard would prevent Flaaffy from getting knocked out that next turn.  After reviewing the first two Pokemon in this line, I would knock recommend using either of them without having Ampharos in that deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  This is a well below average, stage 1 Pokemon card.  I would stay away from this card at all costs...unless of course you want to use Ampharos, which is actually very good in this set, then you'll have to use this card.  But this card has way too low of hp, and two terrible moves, so I would not ever put this card into the active Pokemon spot if I didn't have to.

Mareep -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Mareep Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Mareep from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Mareep is a basic, electric type Pokemon card, with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Mareep does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Cotton Guard and for one colorless energy card, this move reduces damage done to Mareep during its next turn by 20.  Mareep's second move is called Thunder Jolt and for two energy cards, one each of electric and colorless, this move does 30 damage, however if you get a tails when you flip a coin, this move also does 10 damage to Mareep.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Mareep has a stage 1 evolution in Flaaffy, and a stage 2 evolution in Ampharos, there is absolutely no reason to put this card into the active Pokemon spot if it hasn't evolved into at least its stage 1 evolution.  My main reason for saying this is that Mareep can't do as much damage or endure as much damage as one of its evolutions can.  However, if you're forced to put this card into the active Pokemon spot I would attach two energy cards to this card so you can actually attack and do some damage.  The only time I would use Cotton Guard would be if the move would prevent Mareep from getting knocked out the next turn and soon after that you would be able to evolve Mareep into Flaaffy.  So every turn you can with this card, if you can't evolve it I would use Thunder Jolt.  As of now, I would not recommend using this card by itself in a deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  When first looking at this card I thought this wouldn't be too bad of a basic Pokemon card, it had 60 hp, two moves, and a low retreat cost, however after actually reviewing the card, I don't think this is even an average basic Pokemon card, neither of its moves are good at all so I would stay away from this unless you want to use Ampharos in your deck.

Alomomola -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Alomomola Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Alomomola from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Alomomola is a basic, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to electric type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Alomomola does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves, the first move is called Mysterious Beam and for two energy cards, one each of water and colorless, this move does 30 damage and you are able to remove an energy card attached to the defending Pokemon if you get a heads when you flip a coin.  Alomomola's second move is called Double Slap and for three energy cards, two colorless and one water, this move does 50 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip two coins.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a basic Pokemon card with no evolutions, I would recommend putting Alomomola into play as soon as you get two energy cards attached to it.  Strategy is pretty straightforward, depending on how many energy cards you have attached to Alomomola will determine which move to use, if you only have two energy cards attached to Alomomola you have no choice but to use Mysterious Beam instead of Double Slap.  I would use Double Slap most of the time, unless the defending Pokemon will be knocked out by 30 damage or less, then it only makes sense to use Mysterious Beam because you are guaranteed to do damage every turn.  I would only include 1 of these cards in a water type deck, so basically if you are looking for one extra Pokemon for your water type deck, this card could be a good fit.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card.  Even though it is a basic Pokemon, it is basically the same as a stage 1 card, the hp is similar and both of Alomomola's moves require a fair amount of energy, similar to the moves of a stage 1 Pokemon.  So this definitely isn't a basic Pokemon you want to start the game with since it is slow, but it may be able to help your team later in the game after you set up Alomomola on the bench.

Seismitoad -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Seismitoad Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Seismitoad from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Seismitoad is a stage 2, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 140.  Seismitoad is the stage 2 evolution of Palpitoad, and before that Tympole, both of those Pokemon I have reviewed the past couple of days, and both of those Pokemon are in this set.  Seismitoad has a x2 weakness to grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Seismitoad does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Echoed Voice which requires three colorless energy cards and does 50 damage, and if you choose to use this move the next turn, this move does 100 damage instead of 50.  Seismitoad's second move is called Drain Punch which takes four energy cards, three colorless and one water, and does 80 damage and heals 20 damage from Seismitoad.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Seismitoad is a stage 2 Pokemon, I would recommend evolving Tympole into Palpitoad and Palpitoad into Seismitoad on the bench, once you get three energy cards attached to Seismitoad I would move it into the active Pokemon spot and use Echoed Voice the first two turns so you can basically do 75 damage a turn for only three energy cards.  After that, I would use Drain Punch every turn because not only does it do more damage than Echoed Voice but it will remove damage from Seismitoad every turn, thus making Seismitoad's hp seem even higher than it already is.  I would use a 4-3-2 line of Tympole, Palpitoad, and Seismitoad in a partial water deck, as you can see, Seismitoad requires mostly colorless energy cards to attack so this card will fit in well in almost any type deck as long as there are a few water energy cards in that deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  To me, this is an above average stage 2 Pokemon card, I like that it has a good hp, and two great moves, both moves can do tons of damage which is always what you want from a stage 2 Pokemon card.  Another thing I like about this card is that it has a low retreat cost for how many energy cards it needs to attack, so if you do get in trouble you can always retreat this card and not too much later move this card back into the active Pokemon spot and start attacking again.

Palpitoad -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Palpitoad Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Palpitoad from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Palpitoad is a stage 1, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 80.  Palpitoad is the stage 1 evolution of Tympole, there is a Tympole card in this set and I reviewed that card yesterday, Palpitoad's stage 2 evolution is Seismitoad and I'll be reviewing that card tomorrow.  Palpitoad has a x2 weakness to grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Palpitoad does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Supersonic which requires one colorless energy card and confuses the defending Pokemon.  Palpitoad's second move is called Hyper Voice and for three energy cards, two colorless and one water, it does 50 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a stage 1 Pokemon, you'll first have to evolve Tympole into Palpitoad to use this card.  Like I said yesterday, you'll want to keep Tympole on the bench until you evolve it into Palpitoad, once that happens I would still recommend keeping this Pokemon on the bench because it doesn't have a very high hp and neither of its moves can do much damage, at least for the amount of energy that it requires.  I would recommend getting four energy cards on Palpitoad, evolving it into Seismitoad and then moving Seismitoad into the active Pokemon spot.  I would use Hyper Voice every turn if I had to put Palpitoad into the active Pokemon spot, however I would have no choice but to use Supersonic instead if I didn't have three energy cards attached to Palpitoad.  After looking at this card, I would not recommend using Tympole or Palpitoad in a deck without using Seismitoad with this line.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a pretty poor stage 1 Pokemon card that should only be used as a means to get to Seismitoad.  Neither of Palpitoad's moves are very good, one can't do any damage at all, and the other move takes too many energy cards for the amount of damage the move does, plus with only 80 hp, this card won't last very long against a good Pokemon.

Tympole -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Tympole Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Tympole from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Tympole is a basic, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Tympole does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Bubble which requires one water energy card and does 10 damage plus paralyzes the defending Pokemon if you get a heads when you flip a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Tympole has a stage 1 evolution in Palpitoad, and a stage 2 evolution in Seismitoad, there is absolutely no reason to put this card into the active Pokemon spot if it hasn't evolved into at least its stage 1 evolution.  My main reason for saying this is that Tympole can't do as much damage or endure as much damage as one of its evolutions can.  However, if you're forced to put this card into the active Pokemon spot you have no choice but to use Bubble since this is the only move this card has, once again, I would try and evolve Tympole as soon as possible.  I would keep this card on the bench and attach 3 or 4 energy cards on it so when you evolve it you can use Palpitoad's or Seismitoad's moves right away instead of having to wait.  As of now, I wouldn't use this card on its own.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a bit below average for a basic Pokemon card, it has below average hp for a basic Pokemon, and only one move, although a good move, with only one move on this card it isn't too great because you can't do anything else unless you evolve the card.

Floatzel -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Floatzel Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Floatzel from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Floatzel is a stage 1, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  Floatzel is the stage 1 evolution of Buizel, there is a Buizel card in this set and I reviewed that card yesterday.  Floatzel has a x2 weakness to electric type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Floatzel does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Wave Splash and this move requires one colorless energy card and does 20 damage.  Floatzel's second move is called Waterfall and for two water energy cards, this move does 60 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a stage 1 Pokemon, you'll first have to evolve Buizel into Floatzel to use this card.  Like I said yesterday, you can probably try and get Buizel into the active Pokemon spot very early in the game because it is a good starter Pokemon but I would try evolving Buizel into Floatzel as soon as possible because Floatzel can do 60 damage a turn for only two energy cards, thus if you get Floatzel into the active Pokemon spot early, you should be able to knock out some Pokemon in one turn, most Pokemon in two turns.  The only reason I wouldn't use Waterfall when playing this card is if I didn't have two energy cards attached to Floatzel.  I would include a 2-2 line of Buizel and Floatzel in a water type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average stage 1 Pokemon card.  What I really like about this card is its move Waterfall, I like the fact that it does above average damage for the amount of energy cards it requires to attack and the fact that it can attack very quickly.  So I would definitely recommend using this card in any water type deck you may consider building.

Buizel -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Buizel Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Buizel from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Buizel is a basic, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to electric type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Buizel does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Wave Splash which requires one colorless energy card and does 10 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Buizel has a stage 1 evolution in Floatzel, I would recommend evolving Buizel into Floatzel as soon as possible, but this card is a good card to start your game with because it has an above average hp for a basic Pokemon, and is fast since it only requires one energy card to do damage.  So I would try and start the game with Buizel and attach two energy cards to it, then you can evolve it into Floatzel from this set which I'll be reviewing tomorrow and use Floatzel's move that does 60 damage per turn for only two energy cards.  This is a basic Pokemon card that I would recommend using on its own, but if you're using this card on its own I wouldn't use more than 1 or 2 in any type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  For a basic Pokemon card that can be used as a starter Pokemon, I think this Pokemon card is very good.  Like I stated above, this card has a good hp, low retreat cost, and can attack very quickly, so it is a great card to start your game with.  Also, its evolution is very good, so that makes the card that much better because its evolution is that good.

Walrein -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Walrein Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Walrein from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Walrein is a stage 2, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 140.  Walrein is the stage 2 evolution of Sealeo, and before that Spheal, both of those Pokemon I have reviewed the past couple of days, and both of those Pokemon are in this set.  Walrein has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a four colorless energy card retreat cost.  Walrein does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Aurora Beam which requires three energy cards, two colorless and one water, and does 80 damage.  Walrein's second move is called Ice Entomb and for four energy cards, two each of water and colorless, this moves does 60 damage plus paralyzes the defending Pokemon, however you can only use this move once every other turn.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Walrein is a stage 2 Pokemon, I would recommend evolving Spheal into Sealeo and Sealeo into Walrein on the bench, once you get three energy cards attached to Walrein I would move it into the active Pokemon spot and use Aurora Beam every turn, unless the defending Pokemon had more than 160 hp or Walrein would be knocked out during the next turn, then I would use Ice Entomb instead of Aurora Beam.  Since Walrein is quite slow, you'll have to set it up the bench like I mentioned, because of this slowness I wouldn't use that many Pokemon from this line in a deck, I would only use a 3-2-1 line of Spheal, Sealeo, and Walrein in a water type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  To me, this is a pretty average Pokemon card, it has some positives and negatives which balance out to make this card very average.  Walrein has a decent hp but terribly high retreat cost, Aurora Beam is a good move, however Ice Entomb requires too many energy cards to do less damage than a move that does more damage for less energy cards.  So overall this is an average card that could work in a water type deck.

Sealeo -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Sealeo Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Sealeo from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Sealeo is a stage 1, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 80.  Sealeo is the stage 1 evolution of Spheal, there is a Spheal card in this set and I reviewed that card yesterday, Sealeo's stage 2 evolution is Walrein and I'll be reviewing that card tomorrow.  Sealeo has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Sealeo does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Ice Ball and for two energy cards, one each of water and colorless, this move does 30 damage.  Sealeo's other move is called Aurora Beam and for three energy cards, two colorless and one water, this move does 40 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a stage 1 Pokemon, you'll first have to evolve Spheal into Sealeo to use this card.  Like I said yesterday, you'll want to keep Spheal on the bench until you evolve it into Sealeo, once that happens I would still recommend keeping this Pokemon on the bench because it doesn't have a very high hp and neither of its moves can do much damage.  I would recommend getting three energy cards on Sealeo, evolving it into Walrein and then moving Walrein into the active Pokemon spot.  I would use Aurora Beam every turn if I had to put Sealeo into the active Pokemon spot, however I would not use this card if I didn't have to, and because of this, I would not include Spheal or Sealeo in a deck that I did not play to use Walrein in.  So you'll have to wait until tomorrow to know how many of each card from this line I would use in a deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a horrible stage 1 Pokemon card.  It has a low hp, extremely high retreat cost, and two slow moves that don't do much damage at all. I would not recommend using this card at all unless you are specifically using it to get to Walrein.
