Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Electrike from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set. This is the second of two Electrike cards I'll be reviewing from this set, the other one from this set I reviewed yesterday. Electrike is a basic, electric type Pokemon card, with an hp of 60. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Electrike does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Quick Turn which takes two energy cards, one each of electric and colorless, and does 20 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip two coins.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Electrike has a stage 1 evolution in Manectric, I would suggest evolving Electrike into Manectric as soon as possible because evolution cards are usually better. If you are going to use this version of Electrike in your deck, I would definitely suggest keeping it on your bench until you can evolve it into Manectric. If you have to put this card into the active Pokemon spot you have no choice but to attach two energy cards to it and use Quick Turn every turn. I would not use this card by itself in a deck, I would always pair it with Manectric.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating. In my opinion, this is definitely the worse of the two Electrike cards from this set. This card only has one move, yesterday's card had two moves, and even though this card has the potential to do 40 damage, it may end up not being able to do any damage at all every turn, so I would definitely recommend using the other Electrike card in this set over this one.
