Alomomola -- Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Review

Alomomola Guardians Rising Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Alomomola from the Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Set.  Alomomola is a Basic, Water type Pokemon card with a HP of 110.  Alomomola has a x2 weakness to Grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  Alomomola does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Borne Ashore, for one Colorless Energy card this move allows you to move a Basic Pokemon from either player's discard pile to their Bench.  Hydro Splash is this card's second move, for three Energy cards, one Water and two Colorless, this move does 60 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Alomomola is a Basic Pokemon card with no evolution forms, you'll only have to use this card in a deck if you want to use Alomomola.  So knowing this, you may try and want to put one of these cards in many of the decks you're building.  You can just keep this card on the Bench and then use its Borne Ashore move later in games, either to get a Pokemon from your own deck back into play, or, to put a weak, Basic Pokemon of your opponent's back in play.  If you're building a spread attack type deck, Borne Ashore is even better.  Other than this move, Hydro Splash does do average damage for the amount of Energy cards it requires, but there are certainly better moves out there to use.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  So, in my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the Guardians Rising set.  Other than having a somewhat high retreat cost, both moves on this card are at least average, add in a high HP, and this card definitely deserves some consideration when deck building.

Alomomola -- Phantom Forces Pokemon Card Review

Alomomola Phantom Forces Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Alomomola from the Phantom Forces Pokemon Card Set.  Alomomola is a basic, water type Pokemon card with an hp of 100, it has a x2 weakness to grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Alomomola does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Super Deep Dive, this move requires one water energy card and allows you to heal 30 damage from Alomomola and switch it with one of your benched Pokemon.  Alomomola's second move is called Surf, this move requires four energy cards, three colorless and one water, and does 80 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Alomomola is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, if you want to include this card in your deck, make sure to not use more than one of these.  Put four energy cards on Alomomola on the bench, move it into the active Pokemon spot to use Surf every turn, then when it is getting close to being knocked out, use Super Deep Dive to not only heal Alomomola, but to switch it with one of your benched Pokemon without having to retreat it, that way you can put it back into the active Pokemon spot again and use Surf right away.  Again, because this card is so slow, I wouldn't use more than one of these cards in a deck, if I were to use one at all.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Phantom Forces set.  This card does have a higher HP, and one good move that does a fair amount of damage.  But in my opinion, this card is too slow to use in a deck, especially with only 100 HP, I would much rather include Stage 2 cards in my deck that require the same or less amount of energy cards to do more damage.  So you can definitely use this card in a deck, even though I wouldn't, but do not use more than one of these if you choose to use it.

Alomomola -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Alomomola Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Alomomola from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Alomomola is a basic, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to electric type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Alomomola does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves, the first move is called Mysterious Beam and for two energy cards, one each of water and colorless, this move does 30 damage and you are able to remove an energy card attached to the defending Pokemon if you get a heads when you flip a coin.  Alomomola's second move is called Double Slap and for three energy cards, two colorless and one water, this move does 50 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip two coins.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a basic Pokemon card with no evolutions, I would recommend putting Alomomola into play as soon as you get two energy cards attached to it.  Strategy is pretty straightforward, depending on how many energy cards you have attached to Alomomola will determine which move to use, if you only have two energy cards attached to Alomomola you have no choice but to use Mysterious Beam instead of Double Slap.  I would use Double Slap most of the time, unless the defending Pokemon will be knocked out by 30 damage or less, then it only makes sense to use Mysterious Beam because you are guaranteed to do damage every turn.  I would only include 1 of these cards in a water type deck, so basically if you are looking for one extra Pokemon for your water type deck, this card could be a good fit.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card.  Even though it is a basic Pokemon, it is basically the same as a stage 1 card, the hp is similar and both of Alomomola's moves require a fair amount of energy, similar to the moves of a stage 1 Pokemon.  So this definitely isn't a basic Pokemon you want to start the game with since it is slow, but it may be able to help your team later in the game after you set up Alomomola on the bench.
