Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Tympole from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set. Tympole is a basic, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 50. It has a x2 weakness to grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Tympole does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Bubble which requires one water energy card and does 10 damage plus paralyzes the defending Pokemon if you get a heads when you flip a coin.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Tympole has a stage 1 evolution in Palpitoad, and a stage 2 evolution in Seismitoad, there is absolutely no reason to put this card into the active Pokemon spot if it hasn't evolved into at least its stage 1 evolution. My main reason for saying this is that Tympole can't do as much damage or endure as much damage as one of its evolutions can. However, if you're forced to put this card into the active Pokemon spot you have no choice but to use Bubble since this is the only move this card has, once again, I would try and evolve Tympole as soon as possible. I would keep this card on the bench and attach 3 or 4 energy cards on it so when you evolve it you can use Palpitoad's or Seismitoad's moves right away instead of having to wait. As of now, I wouldn't use this card on its own.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating. In my opinion, this is a bit below average for a basic Pokemon card, it has below average hp for a basic Pokemon, and only one move, although a good move, with only one move on this card it isn't too great because you can't do anything else unless you evolve the card.
