Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Garbodor from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set. Garbodor is a stage 1, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Garbodor's Ability is called Garbotoxin and says that if this Pokemon has a Pokemon tool card attached to it, no Pokemon in the game at all, excluding Garbodor has an Ability. Besides the Ability, Garbodor has one move called Sludge Toss which requires three energy cards, two psychic and one colorless, and does 60 damage.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Garbodor is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll have to first put Trubbish on your bench and then evolve Trubbish into Garbodor. There is one Trubbish card in this set and I reviewed that card yesterday. I would mainly keep Garbodor on the bench so I could utilize its Ability, that way if my opponent relies heavily on using an Ability, I can invoke Garbotoxin and they can no longer use their Ability, if you put Garbodor in the active Pokemon spot you have no choice but to use Sludge Toss every turn. I would include this card in a psychic type deck, unless you only want to use Garbodor for its Ability then you can include it in any deck type you want. I would use a 2-1 or 2-2 line of Trubbish and Garbodor.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating. In my opinion, this is a slightly below average, stage 1 Pokemon card. Even though it does have a good hp, it is slow, only does average damage, and has a high retreat cost. Garbodor's Ability may really be useful if your opponent uses a lot of Ability's but if they don't, this card really doesn't do much than doing standard damage every turn.
