Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Skiddo from the BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Set. Skiddo is a basic, grass type Pokemon card with an hp of 70. It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Skiddo does not have an Ancient Trait or Ability but it does have two moves. The first move that this card has is called Razor Leaf, for one grass energy card this move does 10 damage. Skiddo's second move is called Rising Lunge, for two energy cards, one each of grass and colorless, this move does 20 damage plus 20 more damage if you get a heads when flipping a coin.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Skiddo is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Gogoat, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon. However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution. So, on its own, this card could definitely be used as a starter type Pokemon in a deck since it has two moves and the first move only requires one energy card to attack. This card is fairly limited in what it can do, since it can't do anything other than damage, but being able to do 40 damage for two energy cards is pretty good and a good start to the game. The only downside on this card is that you can't retreat this card for one energy card, so if you plan on using this card for Razor Leaf, you'll have to add an additional energy card to retreat it. I would consider using one or two of these cards in a grass type deck if you're in search of a starter type Pokemon.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating. So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Gogoat, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the BREAKthrough set. Like I said above, this card is solid overall, the only downside being its high retreat cost, but this card does have an above average HP and two solid not spectacular moves. So this card could definitely work in decks being built, you just don't want to try and base your deck around this card.
