Gogoat -- BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Review

Gogoat BREAKthrough Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Gogoat from the BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Set.  Gogoat is a stage 1, grass type Pokemon card, with an hp of 120.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  This Gogoat card does not have an Ancient Trait or an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Overrun, for one grass energy card this move does 10 damage plus 30 damage to one of your opponent's benched Pokemon.  Gogoat's second move is called Horn Leech, this move requires three grass energy cards to use and does 90 damage plus heals 30 damage from Gogoat.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Gogoat is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Skiddo into play (I reviewed Skiddo from this set yesterday) and then evolve Skiddo into Gogoat.  If you read yesterday's review of Skiddo, you'll know that I thought that card was a very solid Basic Pokemon card, it had an above average HP, and two, solid moves, the only downside on the card was that it required two energy cards to retreat instead of one.  So knowing this about Skiddo and looking at this Gogoat card, this card could definitely be used in a grass type deck, not as a card you feature a deck around but a strong supporting card since it can do both major damage and spread damage around.  I would definitely consider at least a 1-1 line of Skiddo and Gogoat in a deck and add more if the deck you're trying to build is spread attack.  Once Gogoat is in play, I would mainly use Horn Leech unless you have other Pokemon in play that benefit from Pokemon having damage on them.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the BREAKthrough set.  There really isn't anything that I dislike about this card.  It has a high HP, made even higher by Horn Leech, it can do major damage, plus it can spread damage around.  I would give the same rating to the entire line of Skiddo and Gogoat as I gave to just Gogoat today, a 4 out of 5 rating, this line is definitely worthy of use in grass type decks.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:
So thanks for reading today's Pokemon card review of Gogoat from the BREAKthrough set, stay tuned for tomorrow's card review of Cyndaquil, which is from this same set.  Make sure to check below for the Free Pokemon TCG Online Codes!
