Audino -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Audino from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Audino is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 80. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Audino's Ability is called Busybody, this Ability says that if during your turn you have Audino in your hand, you may show the card to your opponent, then heal 10 damage from your active Pokemon and remove a special condition from that Pokemon if it has one.  After doing this, you have to discard Audino.  Besides the Ability, Audino just has one move called Hip Bump, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 30 damage, plus if the defending Pokemon tries to attack you during their next turn, if they get a tails when they flip a coin, they can't attack.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Audino is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  Besides not having any evolutions, because this is a colorless type Pokemon that does not require a specific type of energy to attack, this card will work in any type deck.  With that being said, I would recommend using this card in place of a trainer card in every deck out there.  When you have this card in your hand you can decide if you want to use it as a Pokemon or as a trainer, if you choose to use it as a trainer you can show it to your opponent then discard it.  The advantage this card has over trainer cards is the obvious fact that it is a Pokemon card, so if you have to put a basic Pokemon card into play you can use this card.  If you have Audino in the active Pokemon spot your only strategy will be to use Hip Bump every turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card set.  I like how this card functions as a trainer and Pokemon as well as that it is a colorless type card, has a good hp, and a pretty decent move.  I don't think you can go wrong by putting this card in any deck you have.

Unfezant -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Unfezant from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Unfezant is a stage 2, colorless type Pokemon card, with an hp of 130.  It has a x2 weakness to lightning type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Unfezant does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move it has is called Wing Flick, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 40 damage, plus your opponent must switch their active Pokemon with one of their benched ones.  Unfezant's second move is called Air Slash, this move is similar to Tranquill's from yesterday, it requires three colorless energy cards, does 80 damage, and after using the move an energy card must be discarded from Unfezant if you get a tails when you flip a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Unfezant is a stage 2 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Pidove into play and then evolve it into Tranquill before you can evolve Tranquill into Unfezant, both of those Pokemon are from this set and I've reviewed both of them the last couple of days.  Neither Pidove or Tranquill are very good, so neither should be in your deck if you don't plan on using Unfezant with it.  With that being said, I can't wholeheartedly recommend using Unfezant in your deck either, and it is only logically that if I don't recommend Unfezant, I would not recommend using this entire Pokemon family in any deck at all.  However, if you choose to use this Pokemon family, make sure to include the line up to Unfezant, then use a 3-2-1 line in any type deck.  I would try and evolve Pidove into Unfezant on the bench, get three energy cards on Unfezant then leave Unfezant on the bench until your opponent gets a Pokemon in the active Pokemon spot you don't want there anymore, when that happens move Unfezant in, use Wing Flick right away, then use Air Slash after that.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is a below average stage 2 Pokemon card. This card really isn't that great for a stage 2 Pokemon, it is a colorless type Pokemon so it has that going for it but its hp is low, neither of its moves are slow which is good but neither is very good.  So again, I would not use this Pokemon card in my deck.  Overall, I would give this Pokemon family, Pidove, Tranquill, and Unfezant only a 1 out of 5 rating, none of these cards are good at all and I would stay away from these Pokemon at all costs.

Tranquill -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Tranquill from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Tranquill is a stage 1, colorless type Pokemon card, with an hp of 80.  It has a x2 weakness to lightning type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Tranquill does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  Its only move is called Air Slash, this move requires three colorless energy cards and does 60 damage.  However, after using this move, an energy card must be discarded from Tranquill.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Tranquill is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Pidove into play (I reviewed Pidove from this set yesterday) and then evolve Pidove into Tranquill.  Tranquill does have a stage 2 evolution in Unfezant that you'll probably want to use with this Pokemon line but since I haven't reviewed that card yet, the strategy below will act like Tranquill is the final evolution in this line.  So if you read yesterday's review, you'll know that I thought Pidove was a below average basic Pokemon card that I would not use in a deck, so this card will have to be above average before I would consider using this Pokemon card in a deck.  I know I have not reviewed this card yet (gave it a score) but I would not use this card in a deck with just Pidove.  I say this because Tranquill has a below average hp and one move that does average damage but has an energy discarded.  So if you do choose to use this card in your deck, I would only use a 2-1 or a 1-1 line of Pidove and Tranquill in any type deck.  I would try and evolve Pidove into Tranquill on the bench then use Air Slash every turn.  The one thing Tranquill has going for it is that it can be used in any type deck, but this still doesn't make me want to use this card.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is a very below average stage 1 Pokemon card. Like I mentioned above, the only thing this card has going for it is its type, besides that, this card has a low hp, and a below average move.  You'll definitely want to stay away from this line so far, you can definitely find a better stage 1 colorless type Pokemon card to use in your deck.

Pidove -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Pidove from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Pidove is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to lightning type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Pidove does not have an Ability, and it only has one move.  The only move it has is called Razor Wind, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 30 damage.  However, when using this move you must flip a coin, if you get a tails this move does nothing at all.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Pidove is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Tranquill and a stage 2 evolution in Unfezant, which I'll be reviewing the next two days, you'll more than likely want to use those cards with this Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, I would not suggest using Pidove.  I say this because Pidove only has the one move and the only move it has requires two energy cards, so it won't be able to attack right away, and when you can attack, the move only has a 50% chance of doing damage.  So I would not use this card in a deck, but if you choose to, I wouldn't use more than one of these cards in any type deck.  I would try and keep it on the bench, put two energy cards on it, then if I didn't have any other options move Pidove into the active Pokemon spot and use Razor Wind every turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average basic Pokemon card.  Even though this card may not be able to do any damage at all, I'm still giving this card an okay rating.  I like that everything is average on this card, low retreat cost, average hp, and that it is a colorless type card.  Because Pidove's only move has the potential to do 30 damage, I'm giving this card a 2 instead of a 1.  But again, I would not use this card in any deck.

Stoutland -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Stoutland from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Stoutland is a stage 2, colorless type Pokemon card, with an hp of 140.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Stoutland's Ability is called Sentinel and it says that as long as Stoutland is your active Pokemon your opponent can't use any Supporter cards from their hand.  Besides the Ability, Stoutland just has one move entitled Wild Tackle.  This move requires three colorless energy cards and does 90 damage.  However when using this move you must flip a coin, if you get a tails, Stoutland does 20 damage to itself.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Stoutland is a stage 2 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Lilliput into play and then evolve it into Herdier before you can evolve Herdier into Stoutland, both of those Pokemon are from this set and I've reviewed both of them the last couple of days.  Neither Herdier or Lillipup are that good, so neither should be in your deck if you don't plan on using Stoutland with it.  With that being said, I think Stoutland should be used mainly for its Ability, but because this Ability is only in effect when Stoutland is in the active Pokemon spot you'll have to move this Pokemon into that spot when you can so your opponent will stop using Supporter cards.  I would try and evolve this Pokemon line on my bench, because Herdier and Stoutland both can do damage to themselves, so if you have to use these Pokemon in the active Pokemon spot too much, Stoutland's 140 hp may seem like much less.  Your only option when Stoutland is in the active Pokemon spot is to use Wild Tackle every turn and hope for some heads, also you'll want to hope that your opponent heavily relies on Supporter cards so this card will be much more effective.  Because Stoutland has such a high retreat cost, I would use this card until it gets knocked out, I wouldn't waste retreating it.  I would not use this Pokemon line in my deck, but if you choose to I would only use a 2-1-1 line of Lillipup, Herdier, and Stoutland in any type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an average stage 2 Pokemon card. The card has a decent hp, an okay Ability, and a powerful move with consequences.  This card doesn't have to be in a deck and especially taking into account Stoutland's previous evolutions, I would not recommend using this line at all.  Overall, I would give this whole line a 2 out of 5 rating, they just don't cut it for my taste.

Herdier -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Herdier from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Herdier is a stage 1, colorless type Pokemon card, with an hp of 80.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Herdier does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move this card has is called Bite, this move requires one colorless energy card and does 20 damage to the defending Pokemon.  Herdier's second move is called Take Down, this move requires three colorless energy cards and does 60 damage, however when using this move it does 10 damage to Herdier.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Herdier is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Lillipup into play (I reviewed Lillipup from this set yesterday) and then evolve Lillipup into Herdier.  Herdier does have a stage 2 evolution in Stoutland that you'll probably want to use with this Pokemon line but since I haven't reviewed that card yet, the strategy below will act like Herdier is the final evolution in this line.  So if you read yesterday's review, you'll know that I thought Lillipup was a slightly below average basic Pokemon card.  So with that being said, if you can, keep that card on the bench, evolve it into Herdier then attach up to three energy cards to Herdier and use Take Down most turns.  The thing you'll have to watch out for with this card is that Herdier already has a lower than average hp and with Take Down doing damage to Herdier it will knock out Herdier fairly fast.  So it is better to get this card into the active Pokemon spot early in the game so you face weaker Pokemon.  I would not use this line so far in my deck, but if you choose to I wouldn't want to use more than 1 each of Lillipup and Herdier.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is a below average stage 1 Pokemon card. So it looks like the first two Pokemon in this Pokemon family aren't that great in the Boundaries Crossed set.  I do like that this card can be in any deck, but this card has a low hp, and neither of its moves is too great.  So I would not recommend using this card in your deck.

Lillipup -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Lillipup from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Lillipup is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Lillipup does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves.  The first move it has is called Roar, this move requires one colorless energy card and this move makes the defending Pokemon switch out their active Pokemon and put one of their benched Pokemon in the active spot.  Lillipup's second move is called Bite, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Lillipup is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Herdier and a stage 2 evolution in Stoutland, which I'll be reviewing the next two days, you'll more than likely want to use those cards with this Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, Lillipup isn't a terrible card to have in a deck on its own.  Because it does have two moves, there might be some benefit to using this card on its own.  If I were to use this card in a deck on its own, I would definitely not use more than 1 of them.  Strategy wise, I would use Bite most times when Lillipup is in the active Pokemon spot, the only time I would consider using Roar would be if my active Pokemon is knocked out, I would then move Lillipup into the active Pokemon spot and use Roar to move that powerful active Pokemon out of the active spot and hope that my opponent has to put a weaker one in or one that has a high retreat cost.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average basic Pokemon card.  This card is just a bit below average in my opinion, I do like that this card has an average hp, low retreat cost and two moves, however Roar doesn't do much for me especially since your opponent gets to dictate what Pokemon they put in their active Pokemon spot, other than Roar this card is average, but Roar brings this card down from a 3 to a 2.

Watchog -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Watchog from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Watchog is a stage 1, colorless type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Watchog does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move this card has is called Hypnoblast, this move requires one colorless energy card and does 20 damage to the defending Pokemon plus puts that Pokemon to sleep.  Watchog's second move is called Psych Up, this move does 30 damage for two colorless energy turns, however if you choose to use this move two turns in a row, the second time you use Psych Up it does 60 damage instead of 30.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Watchog is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Patrat into play (I reviewed Patrat from this set yesterday) and then evolve Patrat into Watchog.  If you read yesterday's review, you'll know that I thought Patrat was a below average Pokemon card in this set, so even though I haven't reviewed this card yet, I would suggest using the Patrat from Plasma Storm numbered 111, on a side note, there are many Patrat cards from the Black and White sets but none of them are very good.  Because Patrat isn't the greatest, I would try and keep Patrat on the bench, start attaching energy cards to it and then evolve it into Watchog and put Watchog into the active Pokemon spot as early as possible.  I would do this because I want to be able to put the defending Pokemon to sleep and then have time to setup the rest of my benched Pokemon.  So I would actually use Hypnoblast most turns unless Psych Up would knock the defending Pokemon out.  Because Patrat isn't the greatest, I would use a 1-1 line of Patrat and Watchog in any type deck.  This line would be a nice addition to a deck that has a lot of Pokemon that inflict special conditions on the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average stage 1 Pokemon card. Everything about this card is pretty good, it has an average hp, low retreat cost, and two good moves.  I like how this Pokemon card can attack very quickly and also put the defending Pokemon to sleep at the same time, that way you can set up your other Pokemon.  I also like the fact that both of Watchog's moves are quick and both do a good amount of damage.  So I would definitely recommend considering to use this Pokemon family in any deck you have.  Overall, I would give Patrat and Watchog a 3 out of 5 rating.

Patrat -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Patrat from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Patrat is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Patrat does not have an Ability, and it only has one move.  The only move Patrat has is called Patrol, this move requires one colorless energy card and lets you look at the top 3 cards of your deck put them them back on your deck in any order you would like.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Patrat is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Watchog, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So on its own, I would not recommend using Patrat in any type deck.  I say this because it only has one move which doesn't do any damage at all, so if you only have this card in your deck and can't evolve the card, putting this card in the active Pokemon spot really won't do anything for you, all you can do when this card is in the active Pokemon spot is rearrange the top 3 cards of your deck.  I would much rather include a trainer card in my deck that allows you to do something similar than to waste a Pokemon spot in my deck with this card. So you'll have to wait and read tomorrow's Watchog review to see if you should use that card and thus have to use this card as well.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average basic Pokemon card.  This is a pretty bad card in my opinion but I'm still giving this card a 2 out of 5 rating instead of a 1 rating because this card has a low retreat cost, average hp, and even though it can't do any damage it can still attack quickly.  Again, I would not recommend using this card in a deck on its own.

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Lopunny from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Lopunny is a stage 1, colorless type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Lopunny does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move this card has is called Healing Melody, this move requires one colorless energy card and heals 60 damage from each of your Pokemon if you get a heads when you flip a coin.  Lopunny's second move is called Kick Away, this move requires three colorless energy cards and does 60 damage, plus your opponent must switch their active Pokemon with one of their benched Pokemon.

So as far as strategy goes, since Lopunny is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Buneary into play (I reviewed Buneary from this set yesterday) and then evolve Buneary into Lopunny.  If you read yesterday's review, you'll know that I thought Buneary was a pretty solid basic Pokemon card that can be used on its own in a deck.  So if you choose to use this Pokemon family in your deck and get Buneary in your hand to start the game I would definitely recommend putting it into the active Pokemon spot immediately.  I would stick with Buneary until you get three energy cards on it, then evolve Buneary into Lopunny.  I would then use Kick Away to do damage, with Kick Away's ability to switch the defending Pokemon, this move is pretty similar to a spread damage type move.  So I would use Kick Away a view turns to spread the damage around, then retreat Lopunny for one energy card and later in the game when many of your Pokemon have damage on them I would move this card back into the active Pokemon spot and use Healing Melody once to try and heal all of them.  I would definitely include this family in any type deck, I would use a 2-1 or 2-2 line of Buneary and Lopunny.  I would try to include Pokemon in the deck I'm using these Pokemon in to have low retreat costs and Pokemon that can spread damage.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average stage 1 Pokemon card. Everything about this card is pretty good, it has an average hp, low retreat cost, two very good moves.  I like that this card can heal major damage from all of your Pokemon and dole out major damage as well, as well as spread that damage around.  Overall this is an extremely good Pokemon line, I would give this line a 5 out of 5 rating, it is an excellent line.

Buneary -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Buneary from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Buneary is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Buneary does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves.  The first move it has is called Pound, this move requires one colorless energy card and does 10 damage.  Buneary's second move is called Smash Kick, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Buneary is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Lopunny, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So on its own, I would recommend using Buneary in any type deck if you need another Pokemon card or two in it.  Buneary will make a very solid starter Pokemon, so my hope would be to get this card into the active Pokemon spot early in the game, attach two energy cards to it and then use Smash Kick every turn.  If you get this card out in the active Pokemon spot to start the game you should be able to get two energy cards on this card quickly, then be able to set up some Pokemon on your bench.  I would use 1 or 2 of these cards in any type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an above average basic Pokemon card.  This is a very solid basic Pokemon card overall.  I like the fact that it is colorless, and that it has two moves.  One quick, only requiring one energy card, and the other move is a little slower but can do 20 damage each turn.  I definitely see a place for this card in any deck, I hope the Lopunny card from this set is also good so this colorless line can make its way into many different decks.

Spinda -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Spinda from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Spinda is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 70. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Spinda does not have an Ability, and it only has one move.  Its only move is called Whimsy Tackle, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 30 damage.  However, when using this move, you must flip a coin, if you get a tails the move does nothing.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Spinda is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  Besides not having any evolutions, because this is a colorless type Pokemon that does not require a specific type of energy to attack, this card will work in any type deck.  With that being said, I would not recommend using this card in any deck out there in any circumstance.  The only thing you can do with this card is use Whimsy Tackle, which is somewhat slow and requires two energy cards, not only does it require the two energy cards, but 30 damage isn't that awesome plus it may not be able to attack anyways.  If you do have this card in your deck, whenever it is in the active Pokemon spot your only choice is to use Whimsy Tackle every turn.  So again, I would not recommend using this card in any deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is another dreadful basic Pokemon card from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card set.  The only thing going for this card is that it has an above average hp, other than that, this card is too slow for my liking, plus it may not ever be able to do any damage.  So I would definitely look elsewhere for a colorless basic Pokemon card to put in your deck.

Delcatty -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Delcatty from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Delcatty is a stage 1, colorless type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Delcatty does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move this card has is called Gather Energy, this move requires one colorless energy card and does 30 damage plus allows you to search your deck for an energy card and attach it to one of your Pokemon.  Delcatty's second move is called Double Slap, this move requires two colorless energy card and does 30 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip 2 coins.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Delcatty is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Skitty into play (I reviewed Skitty from this set yesterday) and then evolve Skitty into Delcatty.  If you read yesterday's review, you'll know that I thought Skitty was a pretty solid basic Pokemon card that can be used on its own in a deck.  With that being said, this entire Pokemon family should be used in many decks out there.  I would recommend using a 2-2 or 2-1 line of Skitty and Delcatty in almost any type deck.  The earlier you get Delcatty into the active Pokemon spot, the better the game will go for you.  I would try and get Delcatty into the active Pokemon spot a turn or two into the game, then use Gather Energy several times in a row.  Not only should this move knock out most basic Pokemon in two turns, but it will also allow you get energy cards on your benched Pokemon at double the rate you normally would, because you can attach an energy card from your hand to one of your benched Pokemon every turn and when you use Gather Energy you can attach an additional energy card to whichever Pokemon you would like after getting an energy card from your deck.  I would actually stick to using Gather Energy on this card instead of Double Slap, so if you don't have two energy cards on Skitty when you evolve it into Delcatty I would not attach any more energy cards so you'll only have to use one energy card with this line.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average stage 1 Pokemon card. Everything about this card is pretty good, it has an average hp, low retreat cost, one average move, and one great move.  I like how Delcatty's Gather Energy card can really speed up your setup process and allow you to do major damage early in the game.  I would definitely recommend using this Pokemon family in your deck, this line is colorless so it can be used in all decks, and overall I would give this line a 4 out of 5 rating.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Skitty is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Delcatty, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with Delcatty.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So on its own, Skitty is a decent Pokemon card to use in a deck.  Because it is a colorless type Pokemon card you can use it in any type deck.  If you have this card in your collection, it could definitely be used in a deck as a starter Pokemon card.  I say this because this card has an average hp and two solid moves.  Strategy wise, if you're just using this card in your deck, I would use 1, maybe 2 of these, and I would try and get them into the active Pokemon spot as soon as possible, because Skitty can attack quickly, and if you get two energy cards on Skitty early, and get some luck when using Double Slap, you could definitely knock out a basic Pokemon card or two with this card.  So when attacking, if you can knock out the defending Pokemon by doing 10 damage or only have one energy card on Skitty, use Tackle, otherwise use Double Slap.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card.  This is a solid basic Pokemon card overall.  I like the fact that it is colorless, and that it has two moves.  One quick, only requiring one energy card, and the other move is a little slower but has the potential to do big damage (relatively speaking).  So overall, you definitely can't go wrong by including this card in your deck, it should be a solid contributor.

Taillow -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Taillow from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Taillow is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 50. It has a x2 weakness to lightning type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Taillow does not have an Ability, and it only has one move.  The only move it has is called Peck, this move requires one colorless energy card and does 10 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Taillow is a basic Pokemon card that has an evolution in Swellow normally I would recommend using this card with its evolution.  However, Swellow has not been in any of the recent sets (yet), so if you go to an official tournament or league, you'll just have to use Taillow on its own instead of with Swellow.  With that being said, because this card is a colorless type Pokemon it can fit into any type deck, but because it can't evolve and can only do 10 damage you'll definitely not want to use more than 1 of these cards in a deck if you choose to use it at all.  Strategy wise, you'll have to put one energy card on Taillow and use Peck whenever it is in the active Pokemon spot.  Personally, I would not use this card in any of my decks, it is too weak in my opinion.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average basic Pokemon card.  Even though I'm giving this card a below average rating, it still has a couple of positives, this card is a colorless type card, so that is good, and it only requires one energy card to attack, which is also good.  However, this card has a below average hp, plus it can only do 10 damage max and only has the one move.  So I would not recommend using this card in a deck.

Dunsparce -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Dunsparce from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Dunsparce is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 60. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a free retreat cost.  Dunsparce does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves.  The first move it has is called Double Draw, this move allows you to draw two cards for one colorless energy card.  Dunsparce's second move is called Dig, this move also requires one colorless energy card, and does 10 damage, plus if you get a heads when you flip a coin, all effects of attacks to Dunsparce during your opponent's next turn are prevented.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Dunsparce is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  Besides not having any evolutions, because this is a colorless type Pokemon that does not require a specific type of energy to attack, this card will work in any type deck.  I could see using a couple of Dunsparce cards in any deck I'm using because this card is a good starter Pokemon card, it has an average hp so it can stand its own in the beginning of the game, plus with a free retreat cost it is easy to retreat if it gets in trouble.  So I would try and start the game with Dunsparce in the active Pokemon spot, first put one energy cards on Dunsparce, then depending on how strong the opponent is, would determine what move I would use.  I would hope to use Double Draw a couple of turns in a row so I could set up my benched Pokemon, then once my benched Pokemon are set up I would retreat Dunsparce and put in a Pokemon that I was busy setting up when Dunsparce was in the active Pokemon spot.  Because Dunsparce can only do 10 damage and doesn't evolve, I wouldn't put more than two of these cards in a deck, I really want to have this card in my hand to start the game, but I wouldn't compromise more powerful Pokemon in my deck to get more copies of this card in it.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an above average basic Pokemon card.  This card does have an average hp, but it has two quick, very good moves, and not only does this card attack quickly, it is good defensively and can retreat without having to discard any energy cards at all.  I would definitely recommend considering this card for your deck, no matter the type, in my opinion this is an excellent basic Pokemon card.

Togepi -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Togepi from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Togepi is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 40. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Togepi does not have an Ability, and it only has one move.  The only move it has is called Attract Smack, this move requires one colorless energy card and does 10 damage, plus it paralyzes the defending Pokemon if you get a heads when you flip a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Togepi is a basic Pokemon with two evolutions in Togetic and Togekiss, I would usually say to wait until I've reviewed those cards to see what to really do with the basic Pokemon in the Pokemon line, however in this case, there is not a Togekiss card in any of the newer sets and there is a Togetic card in the newer sets, but it is in Plasma Storm and I have not reviewed that card yet.  So I'm going to write the rest of my review like this is a basic Pokemon card with no evolutions.  So, if you look at this card like it can't be used with anything else and must be used on its own, I would not recommend using it in a deck, even though it is a colorless type Pokemon card and it has a decent, quick move, I still wouldn't use this card because it has too low of hp for my liking.  With that being said, if you use this card in your deck, the only thing you can do is use Attract Smack every time and hope to flip a few heads, because if you don't, Togepi is going to be knocked out in no time.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is below average basic Pokemon card.  Even though this card has extremely low hp, I still think this card is pretty decent, I like its move because it is quick, requires any type of energy, and can do damage and inflict a special condition.  Other than the hp on this card, this card is actually solid.  But I still wouldn't use this card in a deck if I didn't have to.

Snorlax -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Snorlax from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Snorlax is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a four colorless energy card retreat cost.  Snorlax does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves.  The first move it has is called Double Lariat, this move requires three colorless energy cards and does 40 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip 2 coins.  Snorlax's second move is called Rollout, this move requires four colorless energy cards and does 60 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Snorlax is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  Besides not having any evolutions, because this is a colorless type Pokemon that does not require a specific type of energy to attack, this card will work in any type deck.  However, with that being said, I would definitely be cautious about putting this card in any deck at all.  I say this because even though this card does have a high hp, it is extremely slow, and doesn't do much damage wise.  So if you wanted to use this card in a deck, make sure to use only one, and then try and keep this card on your bench until it has at least three energy cards on it, you can then move it into the active Pokemon spot and use Rollout whenever you can, especially if it will knock out the defending Pokemon, but if you're feeling lucky you can always give Double Lariat a go.  I wouldn't use this card in a deck, unless all my other Pokemon are extremely quick and they can't do much damage, this card would then be a nice change to the other cards you have in your deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is below average basic Pokemon card.  This card does have a good hp, but both of Snorlax's moves are below average, and both of its moves are slow and take a long time to develop.  What really hurts this card is that it has a high retreat cost, so if you're forced to put this card into the active Pokemon spot before its ready, it won't be able to do much for quite awhile.

Ditto -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Ditto from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Ditto is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 70. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Ditto's Ability is called Transorm and it basically allows you to put any basic Pokemon card from your hand onto Ditto and use that card with whatever Ditto had on it before, energy card wise, damage wise, etc.  Besides the Ability, Ditto does not have any moves of its own.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Ditto is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  Even though this card does not have any moves, the reason you would use this card in your deck is to bypass retreating your active Pokemon and discarding energy cards to use on of your benched Pokemon.  So if you have Ditto in the active Pokemon spot, you can move whatever Pokemon card you have in your hand and place it on top of Ditto, you do not need to move that basic Pokemon card to the bench, wait to retreat your active Pokemon, then move that benched Pokemon into the active Pokemon spot.  This is really the only use for Ditto, so if you don't have a need for doing this you won't want to use this card in your deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is below average basic Pokemon card.  This card does have a good hp, but it doesn't have any moves, so if you have to move this card to the active Pokemon spot, and do not have any basic Pokemon cards in your hand, you really can't do anything at all.  So again, this is a below average card that I probably wouldn't use in a deck, however the card does look pretty cool, at least in my opinion.

Farfetch'd -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Farfetch'd from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Farfetch'd is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 60. It has a x2 weakness to lightning type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Farfetch'd does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Hard Swing, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 20 damage plus 20 more damage if you get a heads when you flip a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Farfetch'd is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  The only strategy you can really use with this card is to put two energy cards on it, and when it is in the active Pokemon spot use Hard Swing every turn.  Because it is a  basic Pokemon and a colorless one at that, this card will fit in any deck, and may be able to provide your deck with the last card you need to make it a 60 card deck.  Personally, I wouldn't use this card in a deck, because it is just average overall, and it doesn't have a move that requires only one energy card so if you get it into the active Pokemon spot early, you'll have to wait a turn to attack.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card.  This card is pretty average overall, nothing really stands out to me on this card, it has an average hp, average retreat cost, and an average to above average move.  So you really can't go wrong if you insert or leave out this card from your deck.
