Skitty -- Primal Clash Pokemon Card Review

Skitty Primal Clash Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Skitty from the Primal Clash Pokemon Card Set.  Skitty is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Skitty does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Charm, for one colorless energy card this move reduces any damage done from your opponent's active Pokemon during their next turn by 20.  Skitty's second move is called Tail Smack, this move requires two colorless energy cards to use and does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Skitty is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Delcatty, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own, I would not recommend using this card in a deck, the main reason being it only has 50 HP, which is pretty low, plus it requires two energy cards to actually do some damage.  If you're looking for a colorless Pokemon card to use for your deck, the card I just reviewed two days ago, Zigzagoon, is similar to this card but has a higher HP.  If you do decide to use this card in a deck, make sure to not use more than 1, and get it into the active Pokemon spot early in the game.  If you get this card out early, 50 HP won't seem so low and you may be able to use this card a couple of turns before having to retreat it.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Delcatty, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card.  This card is similar to Zigzagoon from this set which I also gave a 2 out of 5 rating, however, this card is poorer than that one.  I am not a fan of Skitty's low HP, and neither of its moves.  So if you're building a deck and looking for some colorless Pokemon to use, I would recommend looking elsewhere in regards to this Skitty card.

Skitty -- Pokemon X and Y Card Review

Skitty Pokemon X and Y Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Skitty from the X and Y Pokemon Card Set.  Skitty is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Skitty does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Heal Bell, for one colorless energy card this move heals 10 damage from each of your Pokemon.  Skitty's second move is called Tail Whap, this move does 10 damage for one colorless energy card.

So, on its own I could see myself using this card if I needed one more basic Pokemon card in my deck, just to have a decent starter type Pokemon as well as later in the game being able to move this card into the active Pokemon spot, use Heal Bell a turn or two, then retreating it.  Because this card only has 50 hp, I wouldn't use more than one of these in a deck without using Delcatty with it.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card from the X and Y set.  Despite the fact that this card has a low hp, everything else on this card is pretty good.  So if you're looking for a solid basic Pokemon card for your deck, definitely consider this Skitty card.

Skitty -- Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Review

Skitty Plasma Storm Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Skitty from the Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Set.  Skitty is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Skitty does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move this card has is called Triple Slap, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 20 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip three coins.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Skitty is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Delcatty, which I've already reviewed from the Boundaries Crossed set, and a card you'll more than likely want to use with this Pokemon.  However, since there isn't a Delcatty card from the Plasma Storm set, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So on its own, I would not suggest using Skitty in a deck.  I say this because Skitty has only one move and the only move this card has requires two colorless energy cards to use which is not ideal for a Pokemon card that only has 50 hp.  If you do choose to use this card in a deck, I would not use more than one in any type deck, I would try and get two energy cards on it on the bench and put it into the active Pokemon spot to face a weaker Pokemon and hope to get plenty of heads when using Triple Slap.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average basic Pokemon card.  I am giving this card a below average rating because it only has one move and no Ability, plus its only move doesn't guarantee doing damage when you use it.  Triple Slap does have the potential to do 60 damage a turn, but that is unlikely, I would definitely stick to a basic Pokemon card that can for sure do damage every turn.

Skitty -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Skitty Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Skitty from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Skitty is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Skitty does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves.  The first move it has is called Tackle, this move requires one colorless energy card and does 10 damage.  Skitty's second move is called Double Slap, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 20 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip two coins.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Skitty is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Delcatty, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with Delcatty.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So on its own, Skitty is a decent Pokemon card to use in a deck.  Because it is a colorless type Pokemon card you can use it in any type deck.  If you have this card in your collection, it could definitely be used in a deck as a starter Pokemon card.  I say this because this card has an average hp and two solid moves.  Strategy wise, if you're just using this card in your deck, I would use 1, maybe 2 of these, and I would try and get them into the active Pokemon spot as soon as possible, because Skitty can attack quickly, and if you get two energy cards on Skitty early, and get some luck when using Double Slap, you could definitely knock out a basic Pokemon card or two with this card.  So when attacking, if you can knock out the defending Pokemon by doing 10 damage or only have one energy card on Skitty, use Tackle, otherwise use Double Slap.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card.  This is a solid basic Pokemon card overall.  I like the fact that it is colorless, and that it has two moves.  One quick, only requiring one energy card, and the other move is a little slower but has the potential to do big damage (relatively speaking).  So overall, you definitely can't go wrong by including this card in your deck, it should be a solid contributor.
