Alomomola -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Alomomola Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Alomomola from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Alomomola is a basic, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to electric type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Alomomola does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves, the first move is called Mysterious Beam and for two energy cards, one each of water and colorless, this move does 30 damage and you are able to remove an energy card attached to the defending Pokemon if you get a heads when you flip a coin.  Alomomola's second move is called Double Slap and for three energy cards, two colorless and one water, this move does 50 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip two coins.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a basic Pokemon card with no evolutions, I would recommend putting Alomomola into play as soon as you get two energy cards attached to it.  Strategy is pretty straightforward, depending on how many energy cards you have attached to Alomomola will determine which move to use, if you only have two energy cards attached to Alomomola you have no choice but to use Mysterious Beam instead of Double Slap.  I would use Double Slap most of the time, unless the defending Pokemon will be knocked out by 30 damage or less, then it only makes sense to use Mysterious Beam because you are guaranteed to do damage every turn.  I would only include 1 of these cards in a water type deck, so basically if you are looking for one extra Pokemon for your water type deck, this card could be a good fit.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card.  Even though it is a basic Pokemon, it is basically the same as a stage 1 card, the hp is similar and both of Alomomola's moves require a fair amount of energy, similar to the moves of a stage 1 Pokemon.  So this definitely isn't a basic Pokemon you want to start the game with since it is slow, but it may be able to help your team later in the game after you set up Alomomola on the bench.
