Ampharos -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Ampharos Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Ampharos from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Ampharos is a stage 2, electric type Pokemon card, with an hp of 140.  Ampharos is the stage 2 evolution of Flaaffy, and before that Mareep, both of those Pokemon I have reviewed the past couple of days, and both of those Pokemon are in this set.  Ampharos has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Ampharos's Ability is called Electromagnetic Wall and says that as long as Ampharos is your active Pokemon whenever your opponent attaches an energy card from their hand to one of their Pokemon you may put three damage counters on the Pokemon they attach that energy card to.  Besides the Ability, Ampharos has one move called Electrobullet which requires three energy cards, two colorless and one electric and does 70 damage plus 20 damage to one of your opponent's benched Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Ampharos is a stage 2 Pokemon, I would recommend evolving Mareep into Flaaffy and Flaaffy into Ampharos on the bench, once you get three energy cards attached to Ampharos I would move it into the active Pokemon spot and use Electrobullet every turn.  Because Ampharos's Ability is so good, I would recommend getting Ampharos into the active Pokemon spot as soon as possible and having either Pokemon in your deck or supporter/trainer cards that will allow you to remove energy from Ampharos so it can stay in the active Pokemon spot as long as possible.  The earlier you get Ampharos into the active Pokemon spot the less likely your opponent will attach energy cards to their Pokemon, because by attaching two energy cards to a basic Pokemon card, they could end up knocking it out, especially if you do 20 damage to that Pokemon when using Electrobullet.  Ampharos is definitely a Pokemon you can base a deck around, I would use a 4-3-2 line of Mareep, Flaaffy, and Ampharos in a deck.  Like I said earlier, I would include some trainers to remove damage, and a Pokemon or two that can do some spread damage to benefit Electrobullet.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an awesome stage 2 Pokemon card, it has a great hp, low retreat cost, great Ability, and above average move, there really isn't anything not to like about this card.  Any electric type deck you're thinking of making, I would definitely include this Pokemon line in that deck.

i don't agree with the 4-3-2 idea (because what good would the 2 extra mareep and extra flaffy do once you evolve into 2 ampharos? i would probably go 3-1-3 and get some rare candy for quick evolutions.
