Snubbull -- Sun and Moon Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Snubbull from the Sun and Moon Pokemon Card Set.  Snubbull is a Basic, Fairy type Pokemon card with a HP of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to Metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to Darkness type Pokemon, and a one Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  Snubbull does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  This card's only move is called Reckless Charge, for one Fairy Energy card, this move does 20 damage, however, when using this move, you must flip a coin, if you get a tails, Snubbull does 10 damage to itself.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Snubbull is a Basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Granbull, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own, unless you're desperate for a Fairy type Pokemon card to use in your deck, I would pass on using this card.  Although Snubbull has an above average HP, and can do above average damage when attacking, because it is limited in only having one move and the one move it does have has the potential to do damage to itself, I would look elsewhere for Basic Pokemon to use, or make sure and use this card with Granbull.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Granbull, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card overall.  If you have some luck and can always flip a heads, this is a decent starter type Pokemon, but otherwise, keep it on the Bench or don't use it in your deck at all.

Snubbull -- Fates Collide Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Snubbull from the Fates Collide Pokemon Card Set.  Snubbull is a basic, fairy type Pokemon card with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to darkness type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Snubbull does not have an Ability and only has one move, this move is called Ruckus and for two energy cards, one each of fairy and colorless, this move does 50 damage, however when using this move, you must flip a coin, if you get a tails the move does nothing.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Snubbull is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Granbull, which is most recently in the BREAKthrough set, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that card.  But since there is not a Granbull card in this set I will just be considering this card by itself.  So, on its own, this card can do a fair amount of damage pretty quickly, but it can also do no damage at all.  So if you're building a fairy type deck and need some power, take a look at this card, but definitely don't use it without the Trick Coin trainer, so you get two chances at getting a heads when flipping a coin.  Because this card is coin flip based, I wouldn't use more than 1 of these in a deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Granbull, this is a slightly below average Basic Pokemon.  Like I said above, the major knock on this card is that it just has the one move which is based off of a coin flip, so this card can be really good or really bad, it isn't consistent and it isn't worth having in your deck very often.

Snubbull -- BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Snubbull from the BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Set.  Snubbull is a basic, fairy type Pokemon card with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to darkness type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Snubbull does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Roar, for one colorless energy card this move makes your opponent switch their active Pokemon with one of their benched ones.  Snubbull's second move is called Bite and for three energy cards, two colorless and one fairy, does 40 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Snubbull is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Granbull, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own, I cannot recommend using this card in a deck, mainly because it takes three energy cards to do any damage, and then it does well below average damage for that amount of energy cards.  Roar would be an okay move if you could choose which Pokemon your opponent had to put into play, but it may actually help your opponent more than hurt them by having Snubbull use Roar.  So unless you're using Granbull with this card, do not use Snubbull.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Granbull, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card.  I really should have given this card a 1 out of 5 rating, but because this card does have an above average HP and two moves, I am still giving it a 2 out of 5 rating, but like I said above, I would not recommend using this card in a deck on its own, mainly because it is too slow, under-powered, and just not that great overall.
