Panpour -- Burning Shadows Pokemon Card Review

Panpour Burning Shadows Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Panpour from the Burning Shadows Pokemon Card Set.  Panpour is a Basic, Water type Pokemon card with a HP of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to Grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  This card does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move on this card is called Water Gun, for one Water Energy card, this move does 10 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Panpour is a Basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Simipour, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own, this card can certainly be used to start a game since it can attack for only one Energy card, plus it has an above average HP, so it will certainly last at least a turn early in the game, especially if you aren't going second and can't attack your first turn.  Despite this card being okay as a starter type Pokemon, I wouldn't recommend using this card on its own because of how limited the card is, just having the one move that only does 10 damage.  This card is much better suited to sit on the Bench and evolve it into Simipour there.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Simipour, this is a below average Basic Pokemon from the Burning Shadows set.  Like I mentioned above, although this card does have a solid HP and quick attacking move, this card is too limited to merit using on its own, and with only being able to do 10 damage when attacking, this card will do nothing later in games.

Panpour -- BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Review

Panpour BREAKthrough Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Panpour from the BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Set.  Panpour is a basic, water type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Panpour does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Fury Swipes, for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage times the number of heads you get when flipping 3 coins.

So, on its own, I would not recommend using this card in a deck, the main reason being that this card's only move is based off of coin flips, so it could end up doing zero damage every single turn.  However, if you're using this card with Simipour, it may be alright to try and use Fury Swipes one turn, hoping to do more than 10 damage and then evolving Panpour into Simipour the next turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Simipour, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card.  This card is pretty decent overall but because this card is limited in what it can do having only one move and that one move being based off of coin flips, I have to give this card a below average rating.  Other than that, this card has an average HP, and a low retreat cost.

Panpour -- Pokemon X and Y Card Review

Panpour Pokemon X and Y Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Panpour from the X and Y Pokemon Card Set.  Panpour is a basic, water type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Panpour does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Wave Splash, this move does 10 damage for one water energy card.  Panpour's second move is  called Water Splash, this move requires two energy cards, one each of water and colorless, and does 10 damage plus 20 more damage if you get a heads when you flip a coin.

So, on its own this card is very very average and probably shouldn't be used in a deck unless you are desperate for one more card.  The reason I wouldn't recommend using this card in a deck is because neither move that Panpour has does over 10 damage consistently so without an evolution the card is limited.  Of course if you use this card in your deck, you'll want to use Water Splash when you can.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card from the X and Y set.  Even though I wouldn't use this card in a deck on its own, it really isn't that bad of card.  It has an average hp, low retreat cost, and two average to potentially above average moves.
