Gliscor -- Phantom Forces Pokemon Card Review

Gliscor Phantom Forces Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Gliscor from the Phantom Forces Pokemon Card Set.  Gliscor is a stage 1, fighting type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Gliscor does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Submission Hold, this move requires one fighting energy card and does 20 damage, plus it disables your opponent from attaching an energy card to their active Pokemon during their next turn.  Gliscor's second move is called Poison Jab, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one fighting, and does 60 damage.  Plus if you get a heads when you flip a coin the defending Pokemon is poisoned.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Gliscor is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Gligar into play (I reviewed Gligar from this set yesterday) and then evolve Gligar into Gliscor.  If you read yesterday's review of Gligar, you'll know that I thought that card was a below average Basic Pokemon card, mainly because the only move one the card was based on a coin flip, thus making the card potentially able to do zero damage every single turn.  So unless you were feeling particularly lucky, I didn't recommend using that card in a deck.  So knowing this about Gligar and looking at this Gliscor card, I definitely wouldn't use more than a 1-1 line of these two Pokemon in a fighting type deck if I would use them at all.  If I did use them, I would evolve Gligar into Gliscor on the bench and then use whichever move I had the necessary energy cards for on Gliscor.  This card may work well in a poison type deck, one that includes fighting and psychic type Pokemon since you can poison the defending Pokemon with Poison Jab.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Phantom Forces set.  This card is just solid all around, it has an average HP, low retreat cost, and two average moves.  I do like how both moves this card has do more than just damage to the defending Pokemon, but it still doesn't affect the rating that much.  So overall, if you're building a fighting type deck, this line of Gligar and Gliscor is definitely worth considering, together I would give the cards a 3 out of 5 rating.
