Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Dedenne from the Phantom Forces Pokemon Card Set. Dedenne is a basic, fairy type Pokemon card with an hp of 70, it has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to darkness type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Dedenne does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move that this card has is called Nuzzle, this move requires one colorless energy card and if you get a heads when flipping a coin, the defending Pokemon is paralyzed. Dedenne's second move is called Spiral Drain, this move requires three energy cards to use, two colorless and one fairy, and does 60 damage, plus it heals 20 damage from Dedenne.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Dedenne is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card. With that being said, I wouldn't highly recommend using this card in a deck because it is slow on the attack and has a lower HP than you'd like a Pokemon that takes three energy cards to attack to have. The one move that does damage on this card isn't bad, doing average damage and healing Dedenne, but if you want to use this card later in the game, it is pretty much a guarantee it will get knocked out in two turns or less. This card wouldn't be the worst card to use in a deck however, since it requires mostly colorless energy cards. You could either start the game with this card in the active Pokemon spot and paralyze the defending Pokemon to start until getting three energy cards on Dedenne and then using Spiral Drain thereafter, or you could leave this card on your bench, and move it to the active Pokemon spot when you do get three energy cards on Dedenne.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating. In my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the Phantom Forces set. Other than being a bit slow on the attack, and having a little lower HP than most Basic Pokemon cards without an evolution, I am still giving this card an average rating because it does have two moves, a low retreat cost, and can not only do 60 damage a turn, but heal 20 damage a turn from itself. So if you're building a fairy type deck, this card is definitely worth consideration.
