Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Whirlipede from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set. Whirlipede is a stage 1, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Whirlipede's Ability is the same as Venipede's. The Ability is called Poison Point and it says that if Whirlipede is your active Pokemon, any Pokemon that attacks Whirlipede is poisoned. Besides the Ability, Whirlipede has only one move called Spinning Attack, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one psychic, and does 50 damage.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Whirlipede has a stage 2 evolution in Scolipede,I would not use this card unless you use Scolipede. If you are using Scolipede, and have to put Whirlipede into the active Pokemon spot your only choice is to attach three energy cards to Whirlipede and use Spinning Attack every turn until you can evolve Whirlipede into Scolipede. So if you are not using Scolipede in your deck, I would just stick with Venipede, it has the same Ability, which is very good, and requires only two energy cards to attack instead of three, and by not using Whirlipede in your deck, you'll have room for another psychic Pokemon or two in your deck. So again, if you are not using Scolipede in your deck, just use 1 or 2 Venipede's and do not use Whirlipede.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating. In my opinion, this is a below average stage 1 Pokemon card. I do like its Ability, but it has the same one as Venipede, and it does have an above average hp, but so does Venipede. I don't like this Pokemon's only move, and the fact it has a high retreat cost, and that only move is slow to use. So I would not use this card in a deck unless I'm using Scolipede as well.
Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:

Whirlipede evolves into Scolipede starting at level 30.
It evolves when its speed reaches 57 in Pokemon Conquest.
In Pokemon Black and White 2 it stores energy for its evolution.
Essentially, it evolves by unraveling itself when it has matured.

Everyone is correct in saying that Whirlipede evolves into Scolipede starting at level 30, but what has to be used in order to have it evolve?
Venoshock? Or are you looking for Iron Defense?
Obviously Rare Candies evolve Pokemon but it is not required for the evolution, nor is trading.
Are you saying the Pokemon itself has to be used? Because that is not entirely true. Rare Candies and EXP Share make up for using a Pokemon in battle. In fact, they are the only items that evolve the Pokemon. And they certainly don't have to use their ability.
An internet connection is not required.
Perhaps you are suggesting its' high speed must be used to evolve? This is not true if you look at the Pill Millipede, what it is most likely based off of. Curling up, like Whirlipede, is defensive. Uncurling, like Scolipede, allows them to feed.
It's not even required to use its poison.
It is the only bug Pokemon to not require a cocoon to evolve.
In the TCG, Venipede must be used first before you can evolve it into Whirlipede, and subsequently into Scolipede.
It is a Gen V pokemon so the most recent game series must be used in order to see it.
The only thing I can think of that is absolutely 100% required is the game itself and reaching level 30. If it is not that, nor anything else mentioned here, I am at a loss.

On the upside, two hours worth of research has proved to be interesting and plentiful in information, including the origin of the species, anime and video game references, and extensive pokedex information that is not shown in the game.
It has to use the energy it stored up by sitting?

Nothing has to be used on the main series as far as I know besides just leveling it up.
On Pokémon Conquest, it evolves when the Defense reaches 50
Congrats to tvOBT for winning! And sorry for the confusion everyone, Whirlipede does evolve at level 30 into Scolipede. Because tvOBT did so much research they are the winner!
