Petilil -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Petilil Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Petilil from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Petilil is a basic, grass type Pokemon card, with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to water type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Petilil does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  Its only move is called Sleep Powder and for one grass energy card this move does 10 damage and if you get a heads when you flip a coin, this move also puts the defending Pokemon to sleep.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Petilil is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Lilligant, I would recommend keeping Petilil on your bench and evolving it into Lilligant (which I'll be reviewing tomorrow) before moving it into the active Pokemon spot.  This card would be an okay starter Pokemon card, even though it does have below average hp, and only has one move, Sleep Powder is very quick, and if you get Petilil into the active Pokemon spot very early in the game and put the defending Pokemon to sleep, you could easily set up your benched Pokemon while the defending Pokemon is sleeping.  But if you're trying to keep Petilil on the bench but are forced to put it into the active Pokemon spot you'll have no choice but to use Sleep Powder every turn.  I may possibly use this card on its own in a grass type deck, but I would only use 1 in a deck, and I would have to pair this card with other Pokemon that inflict special conditions as well, if most of the Pokemon in my deck did not inflict special conditions I would not consider using this card on its own.  You'll have to read tomorrow's review to see how many you should use if you want to use Lilligant.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a very average basic Pokemon card.  Like I said earlier, even though it only has 50 hp, I think its only move makes up for it since it can put a Pokemon to sleep, but I'm not giving this card any higher than a three because it does only have the one move and it is quite limited without evolving it into Lilligant.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:

The fact that the one who won posted the answer only 1 minute after the question was posted is really... intimidating.
