Sylveon -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Sylveon from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Sylveon is a stage 1, fairy type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to darkness type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Sylveon does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that it has is called Curly Ribbon and for one fairy type energy card this move does 30 damage plus it allows you to move one of your opponent's energy cards from their active Pokemon to one of their benched Pokemon.  Sylveon's second move is called Echoed Voice, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one fairy, and does 50 damage, however, the next turn if you decide to use Echoed Voice the move does 100 damage instead of 50.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Sylveon is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Eevee into play and then evolve Eevee into Sylveon.  I actually have not reviewed Eevee from this set yet because it is a colorless type card, so in this section I will just assume Eevee is an average card and that you are basically going to have to use that card in order to use Sylveon.  So looking at this Sylveon card, you can basically use Eevee as a starter type Pokemon because just like the Leafeon card from this set, you can use Sylveon right away by only using one energy card and doing 30 damage.  So that is what I would recommend doing, get Sylveon into the active Pokemon spot as soon as possible, use Curly Ribbon the first turn or two, then Echoed Voice every turn after that.  This Pokemon line definitely deserves consideration in your deck, and if you do decide to use this line, I would use a 1-1 or 2-2 line.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an average to slightly above average Stage 1 Pokemon card.  I like how this Sylveon card has two moves, both are pretty decent.  The only thing holding this card back from a higher rating is that neither move that Sylveon has can for sure do more than 50 damage a turn.  I know Echoed Voice can do 100 damage a turn the second time using it, but it may be too late if you're facing a really powerful Pokemon.  With that being said, if you're building a fairy type deck, you can't really go wrong with this card and you should definitely consider using it.

Clefable -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Clefable from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Clefable is a stage 1, fairy type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to darkness type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Clefable does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Follow Me, this move requires one colorless energy card and allows you to switch your opponent's active Pokemon with one of their benched Pokemon.  Clefable's second move is called Moonblast, this move requires two energy cards, one each of fairy and colorless, and does 30 damage, plus any damage done to Clefable during your opponent's next turn is reduced by 30.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Clefable is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Clefairy into play (there are two Clefairy cards in this set and I've reviewed both of them the past two days) and then evolve Clefairy into Clefable.  If you read the past two reviews I've done on Clefairy, you'll know that I thought both cards from this set were average.  I actually preferred the 1st of the two Clefairy cards slightly more because that card had two moves and could do more damage.  So knowing this about the two Clefairy cards from this set and looking at this Clefable card, if you're building a fairy type deck, I would definitely recommend taking a look at this Pokemon family and even using a 2-2 line of these Pokemon.  I would recommend getting this line into the active Pokemon spot early in the game and using Moonblast when you evolve Clefairy into Clefable.  And more than likely early in the game your opponent may not be able to do more than 30 damage so if you use Moonblast your opponent won't do any damage to you at all.  If you can't get this line into the active Pokemon spot early in the game, I would stick put two energy cards on Clefable on the bench and then when it is moved to the active Pokemon spot you could use Follow Me first to get a weaker Pokemon of your opponent's in the active Pokemon spot then use Moonblast after that.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  This card doesn't really have anything that stands out, but I like everything on this card quite a bit, and a lot of little things that I liked added up to make this card an above average card.  I really like how Clefable can move whatever Pokemon of your opponent's it wants into the active Pokemon spot and how Moonblast reduces damage done to Clefable by 30.  Overall, I would give the line of Clefairy and Clefable from this set a 4 out of 5 rating, individually I gave both Clefairy cards a 3 and Clefable a 4.

Clefairy #70/111 -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Clefairy from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  This is the second Clefairy I've reviewed on my blog in two days.  This Clefairy is a basic, fairy type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to darkness type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Clefairy does not have an Ability and only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Moonblast, this move requires one fairy type energy card and does 10 damage, plus if your opponent attacks Clefairy during their next turn, damage is reduced by 10.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Clefairy is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Clefable, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution, but I will compare both Clefairy cards during this post.  So, on its own I could see using this card as a starter type Pokemon in a deck because it is quick to attack only requiring one energy card to attack and doing not only damage but reducing damage from your opponent's attack.  Because it only has one move I wouldn't put more than 1 of these in a deck.  So basically strategy wise, I would get this card into the active Pokemon spot to start the game, put one energy card on it and use Moonblast every turn.  Then once you get a benched Pokemon set up, move Clefairy to your bench.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  This card is solid overall, having a good HP, low retreat cost, and an average move.  Even though I gave both Clefairy cards from this set a 3 out of 5 rating, I would definitely recommending using yesterday's Clefairy card more than today's card, that card can do more damage and has two moves instead of one.

Clefairy #69/111 -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Clefairy from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  This is the first of two consecutive Clefairy cards I'll be reviewing.  This Clefairy is a basic, fairy type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to darkness type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Clefairy does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Moonlight, for one colorless energy card this move heals 30 damage from Clefairy.  Clefairy's second move is called Pound, this move requires two energy cards, one each of fairy and colorless, and does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Clefairy is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Clefable, which I'll be reviewing in two days, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet and I haven't even reviewed the second Clefairy card from this set yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution and that I do not know which Clefairy card from this set is better.  So, on its own I could definitely see this card being used as a starter type Pokemon in a fairy type deck.  I would try and get this card into the active Pokemon spot to start the game, get two energy cards on it, then use Pound most turns, then when Clefairy is close to being knocked out use Moonlight.  The advantage with this card is that you only need two energy cards to use it and this card will give plenty of time to get the benched Pokemon set up and ready to be used.  Because this card can only do 20 damage maximum, I wouldn't include more than two of these in a deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, this is an average to slightly above average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  There really isn't anything that I dislike about this card.  It has an average HP and retreat cost, and two good moves.  This card can work well in a deck as a starter type Pokemon and should definitely be considered anytime anyone is building a fairy type deck.
