Throh -- Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Review

Throh Plasma Blast Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Throh from the Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Set.  Throh is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Throh does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Freestyle Strike, this move requires two energy cards, one each of fighting and colorless, and does 30 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip two coins.  Throh's second move is called Shoulder Throw, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one fighting, and does 80 damage minus 20 damage for each colorless energy card in the defending Pokemon's retreat cost.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Throh is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, this card is a little slower for a basic Pokemon card since it requires at least two energy cards to attack, but it does have the potential to do above average damage for the amount of energy cards it requires to attack.  I personally would not use this card in a deck because there isn't the greatest of chances that this card will actually do a very big amount of damage, but if you choose to use this card in your deck I would recommend using 1 or 2 maximum.  You could just include this card in your deck to counterbalance your opponent's strategy of using Pokemon with free or low retreat costs, by using Shoulder Throw it will prevent this.  If your opponent doesn't have Pokemon like that in their deck, this card is best used early in the game when for two energy cards it can potentially do 60 damage per turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card from the Plasma Blast set.  This card is much more powerful than most starter type Pokemon out there, but because Throh has such a high retreat cost and both of its moves may end up doing nothing, this card definitely isn't more than average and it isn't a card I would use in any of my decks.

Throh -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Before I get started on this review, I think everyone should read this, I was contacted on YouTube by someone who needed clips for a video they're making for their college class, please read the following and follow up if you're interested: Everyone...You should check this out: Attention Pokemon Cosplayers! Want to be immortalized in a Youtube video? An Art teacher from Ohio is making a college project for his OSU class... a Pokemon Parody of the Gangnam Style video. If you have a Pokemon costume (Pokemon or character) he needs a few seconds of footage for a lot of quick cut scenes. Either doing the Gangnam Style dance or out in the wilderness acting like a Pokemon, you'd be part of a larger montage. Clips can be sent to gangnampokemon@gmail.com but must be in by the last day of October. Let him know in your email if you want to be credited. Be creative and thanks for your support!
Throh Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Throh from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Throh is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Throh does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves.  The first move is called Squeeze and for three energy cards, two colorless and one fighting, this move does 40 damage plus 20 more damage and paralysis on the defending Pokemon if you get a heads when you flip a coin.  Throh's second move is called Superpower and for four energy cards, three colorless and one fighting, this move does 70 damage plus 20 more damage, if you choose to do 20 more damage, you have to do 20 damage to Throh.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a basic Pokemon card with no evolutions, you only need to include this card in the deck if you want to use it.  Since Throh is quite slow, I would recommend moving Throh to the bench and attaching energy cards to it there.  I would suggest using Superpower more of often than Squeeze because it can do almost twice the amount of damage every turn, plus if you don't get a heads when using Squeeze, you had to use way too many energy cards to only do 40 damage.  The only time I would use Squeeze is if I only had three energy cards on Throh or for some reason you really needed to paralyze the defending Pokemon.  I would only use 1 Throh card in a deck because it requires so many energy cards to attack.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average basic Pokemon card.  Even though it does have above average hp, and two moves that do decent amounts of damage, the Pokemon card is too slow for my liking and I would not recommend using it in a deck.

Throh -- Emerging Powers Pokemon Card Review

Throh Emerging Powers Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Throh from the Emerging Powers Pokemon Card Set.  Throh is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Throh doesn't have an Ability and it only has one move called Scarf Hold which takes two energy cards, one each of fighting and colorless and does 30 damage, and if you get a heads when you flip a coin, your opponent can't attack during their next turn.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a basic Pokemon card that doesn't have an evolution and since this card only has one move, the strategy for this card is extremely straightforward, whenever you have two energy cards on Throh and need to put a Pokemon into the active Pokemon spot, move Throh into that spot and start using Scarf Hold.  In my opinion, the earlier you get Throh into the active Pokemon spot, the more effective this card will be, because if you're lucking and flip heads a couple of times, it will prolong Throh's time in the active Pokemon spot and allow you to set up more Pokemon on your bench.  If I were to use Throh in my deck, I would include one of them in a mostly fighting type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  This is another pretty average basic Pokemon card.  There isn't anything on this card that really stands out to me, but overall if you need a filler card for your deck, this is one I wouldn't be afraid of putting in the deck.
