Sandile -- Sun and Moon Pokemon Card Review

Sandile Sun and Moon Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Sandile from the Sun and Moon set.  Sandile is a Basic, Darkness type Pokemon card with a HP of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to Fighting type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to Psychic type Pokemon, and a two Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  Sandile does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Gnaw, for two Colorless Energy cards, this move does 20 damage.  Sandile's second move is called Crunch, for three Energy cards, two Darkness and one Colorless, this move does 30 damage, plus if you get a heads when flipping a coin, you're able to discard an Energy card from your opponent's Active Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Sandile is a Basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Krokorok, and a Stage 2 evolution in Krookodile, which I'll be reviewing the next couple of days, you'll more than likely want to use some of those Pokemon with this card, however, since I have not reviewed any of those cards yet, I will just act like Sandile does not have any evolution forms and that it will be used on its own.  On its own, the only way you'll want to use this card is if you're building a deck that will be using 4 Double Colorless Energy cards, that way, you can use Gnaw the first turn of the game and do 20 damage a turn.  If you aren't using a full line of Double Colorless Energy or aren't using the Evolution forms of Sandile, I would discourage you from using this card.  Even though it does have an above average HP and two moves, Crunch is below average overall, and the card is somewhat slow on the attack.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Sun and Moon set.  Like I mentioned above, this card does have some positives about it, I like its somewhat high HP, and the fact it has two moves.  But I think this card would work better sitting on the Bench and evolving it there into Krokorok and then into Krookodile.

Sandile -- Flashfire Pokemon Card Review

Sandile Flashfire Pokemon Card Review
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Sandile from the Flashfire set.  Sandile is a basic, darkness type Pokemon card with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Sandile does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Surprise Attack, this move requires two energy cards, one each of darkness and colorless, and does 40 damage.  However, when using this move, you have to flip a coin, if you flip a tails the move does nothing.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Sandile is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Krokorok and a stage 2 evolution in Krookodile, which I'll be reviewing the next two days, you'll more than likely want to use those cards with this Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, and there actually isn't a Krookodile card in this set, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, I would not recommend using this card in a deck.  I say this because Sandile has only one move and that move may end up doing 0 damage every single turn because it is a coin based move.  So unless you're using this card with Sandile's evolution, I would not recommend using this card in a deck.  If you do use this card in a deck, your only option would be to use Surprise Attack every turn, and the earlier in the game you get this card into play the better this card will work.  Doing 40 damage a turn should knock out almost all Basic Pokemon cards in 2 moves or less.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Flashfire set.  I was debating whether to give this card a 1 or a 2 rating, but because the only move this card does have has the possibility to do 40 damage and Sandile has an above average hp, I am giving it a 2.  The reason I would give this card such a low rating is because the only move Sandile has is pretty bad if you don't get a heads when you flip a coin.  So if you're building a darkness type deck, I would look elsewhere first.

Sandile -- Pokemon X and Y Card Review

Sandile Pokemon X and Y Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Sandile from the X and Y Pokemon card set.  Sandile is a basic, darkness type Pokemon card with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Sandile does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Ram, this move does 20 damage for two colorless energy cards.  Sandile's second move is called Darkness Fang, this move requires three energy cards, two darkness and one colorless, and does 50 damage.

However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, even though this card has two moves that do plenty of damage, I would not use this card in a deck.  The main reason for saying this is that Sandile is too slow for my liking and it has too high of a retreat cost.  If you do choose to use this card in your deck, definitely don't use more than one, and use whatever move you have the energy cost for when attacking.  Because this card is so slow, it would be better to set this card up on your bench.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average to slightly below average basic Pokemon card from the X and Y set.  This card can do a lot of damage and has a high hp, but it is too slow requiring two and three energy cards to attack plus its retreat cost is extremely high.  So if you're looking for a basic Pokemon card to use in your darkness type deck, this one is worthy of a look but I'd probably look elsewhere first.

Sandile -- Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Review

Sandile Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Sandile from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Set.  Sandile is a basic, darkness type Pokemon card with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Sandile does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Gentle Slap, this move requires two energy cards, one each of colorless and darkness, and does 10 damage plus 20 more damage if you get a heads when you flip a coin.

However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, I probably wouldn't recommend using this card in a deck, I say this because the only move Sandile has is fairly slow and cannot do major damage unless you get lucky and flip a heads.  Because of this, unless you don't have any other options, I would not recommend using this card.  If you have to use this card in a deck, you will have no choice but to attach two energy cards to it and use Gentle Slap every turn, hoping to flip a heads every turn so you can do 30 damage instead of just 10.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a way below average basic Pokemon card.  Like I mentioned in the strategy section of this post, I would not use this card in a deck on its own.  Even though it has above average hp compared to a similar basic Pokemon, Sandile has only one below average move and a high retreat cost which makes it way below average.
