Sableye -- Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Review

Sableye Guardians Rising Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Sableye from the Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Set.  Sableye is a Basic, Darkness type Pokemon card with a HP of 60.  Sableye does not have a Weakness or Resistance, but it does have a one Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  Sableye does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move on this card is called Limitation, for one Darkness Energy card, this move makes it so your opponent is unable to play a Supporter card during their next turn.  Scratch is the name of Sableye's second move, for one Colorless Energy card, this move does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Sableye is a Basic Pokemon card with no evolution forms, you'll only have to use this card in a deck if you want to use Sableye.  So knowing this, this card makes for an excellent starter type Pokemon, both in a Darkness type deck, or any type deck if you're fine with just using Scratch every turn.  I like this card as a starter type Pokemon because both of its moves requires little Energy to attack, and you can potentially ruin your opponent strategy if you prevent them from using a Supporter card each turn, while giving your own Benched Pokemon time to be set up.  So this card works as both a defensive type starter as well as a quick attacking starter type Pokemon that can do a fair amount of damage every turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  So, in my opinion, this is an above average Basic Pokemon card overall.  Despite only doing 20 damage per turn, I still think this card is one to consider when deck building.  Knowing the important of Supporter cards in the TCG, Limitation can be very effective.  Mainly, I like that this card can limit your opponent as well as do above average damage when attacking.

Sableye -- Ancient Origins Pokemon Card Review

Sableye Ancient Origins Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Sableye from the Ancient Origins Pokemon Card Set.  Sableye is a basic, darkness type Pokemon card with an hp of 70, this card does not have a weakness or resistance and it has a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Sableye does not have an Ability or an Ancient Trait but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Bewitching Eyes, for one darkness energy card, this move allows you to choose a supporter card from your opponent's discard pile and use it as the effect of this attack.  Sableye's second move is called Furtive Drop, for two energy cards, one each of darkness and colorless, this move puts 3 damage counters on your opponent's active Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Sableye is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, I would not recommend using this card in a deck.  Mainly because there really isn't anything that stands out about this card.  Other than having an above average HP, neither move this card has is that great, and the first move, Bewitching Eyes, could easily be replaced by just having more supporter cards in your own deck.  This card would have been usable if Furtive Drop would allow you to place 3 damage counters on your opponent's Pokemon in any way you like, but it has to attack the Pokemon in the active Pokemon spot.  So unless you're a huge fan of Sableye, do not use this card in a deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Ancient Origins set.  This card is good in that it has a high HP, low retreat cost, and two moves.  However, this card can't do any damage unless you put two energy cards on it, and even then, the damage it does is pretty average.  So definitely not the worst card in the world, this card shouldn't be forced into your deck, look elsewhere.

Sableye -- Pokemon X and Y Card Review

Sableye Pokemon X and Y Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Sableye from the X and Y Pokemon Card Set.  Sableye is a basic, darkness type Pokemon card with an hp of 80, it has no weakness or resistance and has a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Sableye does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Filch, for one colorless energy card this move allows you to draw a card.  Sableye's second move is called Rip Claw, this move requires two energy cards, one each of darkness and colorless, and does 30 damage.  Besides doing the damage, this move also allows you to discard an energy card attached to the defending Pokemon if you get a heads when you flip a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Sableye is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, I could definitely see using up to two of these Sableye cards in a darkness type deck.  I would limit this card to two because it doesn't evolve into anything else and it does require two energy cards to do damage.  Because this card can attack for only one energy card it is an ideal starter type Pokemon card, I would get one of your Sableye cards into play as soon as possible and use whichever move you can.  Rip Claw is a very good move, not only does it do above average damage, but if you discard an energy card attached to your opponent's Pokemon, it should give you time to set up your own Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an above average basic Pokemon card from the X and Y set.  There really isn't anything to dislike about this card and it should definitely be considered when building any darkness type deck out there.  I like its above average hp, the fact it has two moves, and that its retreat cost is low.  So if you're building a darkness type deck, you really can't go wrong by adding this card to it.

Sableye -- Legendary Treasures Pokemon Card Review

Sableye Legendary Treasures Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Sableye from the Legendary Treasures Pokemon Card Set.  Sableye is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 70. Sableye does not have a Resistance or Weakness, and it has a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Sableye does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move this card has is called Tight Jaw, this move requires two energy cards, one each of psychic and colorless, and does 30 damage, plus if you get a heads when you flip a coin the defending Pokemon is paralyzed.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Sableye is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, since this card only has the one move, it is pretty limited so you won't want to use more than one of these cards in a psychic type deck.  If you use this card in your deck, you'll want to get it into the active Pokemon spot early and use Tight Jaw every turn then retreat it when it is close to being knocked out.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card from the Legendary Treasures set.  This card has above average hp, one good move, and a low retreat cost, but since the card only has the one move it is pretty limited therefore limiting its potential, which is why I'm giving this card just an average rating of 3.  If you are building a psychic type deck and need one more basic Pokemon in it, this card would work perfectly but otherwise it shouldn't be used in a deck.

Sableye -- Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Review

Sableye Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Sableye from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Set.  Sableye is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 70. It has a no weakness, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Sableye does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Scratch, this move requires one colorless energy card and does 10 damage.  Sableye's second move is called Shadow Cage, this move requires two energy cards, one each of psychic and colorless, and does 20 damage, plus makes your opponent unable to retreat during their next turn.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Sableye is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  If you're building a psychic type deck, this would be the perfect starter card for your deck and I would recommend using 4 of these in your deck.  I would hope to get a Sableye card into the active Pokemon spot to start the game then to use whichever move I can when attacking.  The reason I would have four of these in a deck is so I would have a good chance of getting one early in the game and my deck would have a good basic Pokemon card that I could put on the bench and put into the active Pokemon spot no matter the point in the game.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an above average basic Pokemon card from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card set.  I really like this card as a starter card in a psychic type deck.  I like that this card has a low retreat cost, two moves, and an above average hp.  Besides having two moves, I like that this card's two moves don't require just psychic energy cards, so this card would more easily fit in a dual type deck.  But overall, if you're looking to add some basic Pokemon cards to your psychic type deck, this is definitely one I would recommend.

Sableye -- Dark Explorers Pokemon Card Review

Sableye Dark Explorers Pokemon Card Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Sableye from the Dark Explorers Pokemon Card Set.  This is basic, darkness type Pokemon card, with an hp of 70.  It does not have a weakness or resistance, but it does have a retreat cost of one colorless energy card.  Sableye doesn't have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Confuse Ray or for one colorless energy card it does 10 damage and if you get a heads the defending Pokemon is confused.  Sableye's second and final move is called Junk Hunt which takes one darkness energy card and allows you to put 2 Item cards from your discard pile into your hand.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a basic Pokemon card that doesn't evolve into anything you'll want to only have 1 or 2 of these cards max, and since it doesn't have an Ability you can use Sableye as soon as you get 1 energy card on it.  You'll definitely want to have Item cards in your deck so that you can utilize Junk Hunt because if you don't this card is pretty useless since it only does 10 damage.  I would put this card in almost any type deck, just make sure that it has a special energy card or two that can account for a darkness energy card.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  This is a below average, basic Pokemon card in my opinion.  The only good things about it are that it doesn't have a weakness, and it has a higher hp than most basic type Pokemon.  However, both of Sableye's moves aren't very good, and you aren't even guaranteed to confuse the defending Pokemon when using Confuse Ray.
