Milotic -- Primal Clash Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Milotic from the Primal Clash Pokemon Card Set.  Milotic is a stage 1, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 110.  It has a x2 weakness to grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Milotic's Ability is called Sparkling Ripples and says that when you move Milotic from your hand to evolve Feebas, you may move a card from your discard pile back into your hand.  Besides the Ability, Milotic just has one move called Aqua Swirl.  This move requires three energy cards to use, two colorless and one water, and does 60 damage, plus you may have your opponent switch their active Pokemon with one of their benched Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Milotic is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Feebas into play (I reviewed Feebas from this set yesterday) and then evolve Feebas into Milotic.  If you read yesterday's review of Feebas, or really any Feebas review, you'll know that I thought that card was a very poor Basic Pokemon card, having an extremely low HP, and a poor move that may end up doing 10 damage to Feebas every turn.  So knowing how poor Feebas is and looking at this Milotic card, if you choose to use this line in your deck, definitely don't use more than a 1-1 line of this family and definitely do not put Feebas into the active Pokemon spot, evolve this line on the bench.  It would be best to include Milotic in a spread damage type deck, that way, you could get three energy cards on Milotic, and when using Aqua Swirl every turn, have your opponent switch out their active Pokemon with one of their benched Pokemon, thus spreading damage around.  After that, hopefully you have a card that does let's say 20 damage to each of your opponent's benched Pokemon, and you can then knock out multiple Pokemon at once.  The Ability of Milotic doesn't do too much for me, since it can really only be used one time.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Primal Clash set.  I like a few things about this card overall, it has a high HP, and the move it does have, does do only average damage but I do like the fact you can have your opponent switch out their active Pokemon.  But outside of those two things, this card isn't more than average, and if included with Feebas from this set, I can't give more than a 2 out of 5 rating, it is just so hard to use cards like Milotic and Gyarados when their Basic forms are so weak.

Milotic -- Flashfire Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Milotic from the Flashfire Pokemon Card Set.  Milotic is a stage 1, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100.  It has a x2 weakness to grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Milotic's Ability is called Energy Grace, this allows you to knock out Milotic and put up to three energy cards from your discard pile onto one of your Pokemon.  Besides the Ability, Milotic has one move called Waterfall, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one water, and does 60 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Milotic is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Feebas into play (I reviewed Feebas from this set yesterday) and then evolve Feebas into Milotic.  If you read yesterday's review or really any review of a Feebas card, you'll know that it isn't a very good card to use and that if you decide to use Milotic in your deck, you should definitely set up Feebas and evolve it into Milotic on the bench.  Because Milotic has an Ability you really don't even have to put it into the active Pokemon spot, you could choose to knock it out on the bench and attach three energy cards to one of your Pokemon.  Personally, I would move this card into the active Pokemon spot, use Waterfall as many times as possible and either retreat Milotic or if you have three energy cards in your discard pile, I would then use Energy Grace.  Because Feebas is pretty weak and you would use Milotic for its Ability mainly, I wouldn't use more than a 1-1 line of Feebas and Milotic in a water type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is a very solid but average stage 1 Pokemon card from the Flashfire set.  This card does have a good hp, an Ability, and a good move, but nothing really jumps out at me with this card.  So overall, I would give the line of Feebas and Milotic from the Flashfire set a 2 out of 5 rating, individually I gave Feebas a 1, and Milotic a 3.

Milotic -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Milotic from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Milotic is a stage 1, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 110.  Milotic is the stage 1 evolution of Feebas, there is a Feebas card in this set and I reviewed that card yesterday.  Milotic has a x2 weakness to electric type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Milotic does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Clear Search and for one water energy card, this move allows you to search your deck for any 3 cards and put them into your hand.  Milotic's second move is called Water Pulse and for three energy cards, one water and two colorless, this move does 60 damage and puts the defending Pokemon to sleep.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a stage 1 Pokemon, you'll first have to evolve Feebas into Milotic to use this card.  Like I said yesterday, you'll want to keep Feebas on the bench until you evolve it into Milotic, once that happens you can move this card into the active Pokemon spot when it has at least one energy card on it.  As far as strategy goes, this is an important water type Pokemon card to have in a deck that is based around using stage 2 Pokemon, I say this because you can put Milotic into the active Pokemon spot and then use Clear Search a couple of turns to get all the Pokemon you need into your hand and then evolve those Pokemon that next turn.  Clear Search eliminates the need for a lot of supporter cards that allow you to search your deck for specific cards.  Once you're done getting the cards you need from your deck, or you just want to attack in general you'll have to use Water Pulse.  It may be a good idea to use Water Pulse the first time, get the defending Pokemon to sleep and then use Clear Search that next turn.  I would use a 2-1 or 2-2 line of Feebas and Milotic in a somewhat water type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average stage 1 Pokemon card.  It has higher than average hp, a low retreat cost, and two good moves.  Clear Search is good because it only requires one energy card and can greatly aid your team, and Water Pulse does average damage for three energy cards but by inflicting a special condition every turn, it makes the move an above average move.

Milotic -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Milotic from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  This is going to be the first of three consecutive Dragons Exalted Pokemon card reviews.  Milotic is a stage 1, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 110.  It has a x2 weakness to electric type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Milotic doesn't have an Ability, but it does have two moves, the first move is called Clear Search and for one water energy card this move allows you to search your deck for three cards and put them into your hand.  Milotic's second move is called Water Pulse and for three energy cards, two colorless and one water, it does 60 damage plus it puts the defending Pokemon to sleep.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, like yesterday's Cinccino Pokemon card review, with this Milotic card it will be beneficial for you to get three energy cards onto Milotic as soon as possible so you can put this card into the active Pokemon spot and then use Water Pulse every turn to either knock out a Pokemon by doing 60 damage or putting the defending Pokemon to sleep, hopefully a majority of the defending Pokemon stay asleep when you attack them so that you can set up your bench quickly without having to receive damage from your opponent's active Pokemon.  A way to make sure you can get energy on all the Pokemon you need or to get an evolution card is to use Clear Search once and either get energy cards into your hand or find the Pokemon you need to evolve your benched Pokemon.  I would stick to using Water Pulse every turn but if you get Milotic into the active Pokemon spot soon enough and are facing a weak defending Pokemon that is the time I would use Clear Search.  I will include at least a 2-1 line of Feebas and Milotic in any water type deck I would make.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  After giving yesterday's Cinccino card a 4 out of 5 rating I had no choice but to give this card a 5 out of 5 rating, it is a much better card than yesterday's card even though it uses the same strategy.  I like the fact this card has a high hp, low retreat cost, and two great moves, one that helps the rest of your Pokemon and the other that does a good amount of damage to the defending Pokemon and hopefully keeps it from attacking a turn or two.
