Leafeon -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Leafeon Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Leafeon from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Leafeon is a stage 1, grass type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Leafeon does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that it has is called Soothing Scent, this move requires one grass energy card and does 30 damage plus it puts the defending Pokemon to sleep.  Leafeon's second move is called Magical Leaf, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one grass, and does 50 damage plus if you get a heads this move does 30 more damage to the defending Pokemon and heals 30 damage from Leafeon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Leafeon is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Eevee into play and then evolve Eevee into Leafeon.  I actually have not reviewed Eevee from this set yet because it is a colorless type card, so in this section I will just assume Eevee is an average card and that you are basically going to have to use that card in order to use Leafeon.  So looking at this Leafeon card, you can basically use Eevee as a starter type Pokemon because you can evolve it right away into Leafeon and start attacking as long as you have at least one energy card on Eevee.  So my strategy would be to include a 2-2 line of Eevee and Leafeon in a grass type deck and use these Pokemon as starter type Pokemon cards.  I would then get Leafeon into the active Pokemon spot as soon as possibly, and do Soothing Scent first to put the defending Pokemon asleep, and then either keep using that move to allow you to set up your benched Pokemon, or I would put two more energy cards on Eevee, and start using Magical Leaf, then set up your benched Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  There really isn't anything that I can complain about on this card that is why I'm giving it such a good rating, but at the same time, nothing on this card is that amazing that makes it deserve a perfect rating.  I like the low retreat cost on this card and the fact that it has two moves, Soothing Scent is an above average move, and Magical Leaf would be an absolutely amazing move if it did 80 damage a turn, but because it depends on a coin flip, this move is only average to slightly above average at best.  But overall, if you're looking for a solid, quick attacking, Stage 1 Pokemon card for your grass type deck, this one is definitely recommended.

Leafeon -- Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Review

Leafeon Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Review
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Leafeon from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Set.  Leafeon is a stage 1, grass type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to water type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Leafeon does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Energy Crush, this move requires one colorless energy card and does 20 damage times the number of energy cards attached to all of your opponent's Pokemon.  Leafeon's second move is called Leaf Blade, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one grass, and does 60 damage, plus 20 more damage if you get a heads when you flip a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Leafeon is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Eevee into play, there are actually two Eevee cards in this set but I have not reviewed either of them yet, you may also want to consider using one of the two Eevee cards from the Dark Explorers set, and then evolve that Eevee card into Leafeon.  Because I haven't reviewed either Eevee cards from this set yet I won't talk now about which one of those cards are best to use, but regardless of which one you use, if you are using Leafeon in your deck, I would suggest starting the card on the bench, getting three energy cards on it, then when your opponent has all of their Pokemon set up I would move Leafeon into the active Pokemon spot and use Energy Crush until your opponent's Pokemon have less than 3 energy cards attached to all of them, then I would use Leaf Blade.  I would use a 2-1 or 2-2 line of Eevee and Leafeon in a grass type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average stage 1 Pokemon card.  I like that this card has an above average hp, and two very solid moves.  I like how Energy Crush is very quick and has potential to do big damage, whereas Leaf Blade is slower but will consistently do more base damage.  The only downfall of this card is its retreat cost which is two energy cards, but since the highest energy cost move on this card requires three energy cards the retreat cost isn't too outrageous.

Leafeon -- Dark Explorers Pokemon Card Review

Leafeon Dark Explorers Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Leafeon from the Dark Explorers Pokemon Card Set.  This is a stage 1, grass type Pokemon card with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to water type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Leafeon doesn't have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Quick Attack and for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage plus 30 more damage if you get a heads when you flip a coin.  Leafeon's second move is called Energy Assist and for two energy cards, one each of grass and colorless, Leafeon does 40 damage and you may also attach an energy card from your discard pile to one of your benched Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, this card would be a good supplemental card to use in a grass type deck. I would make sure to use this card if you have a card that discards energy cards when it attacks, that way you can use that card that discards energy cards a couple of turns in a row, then move Leafeon into the active Pokemon spot, use Energy Assist a couple of turns and put those energy cards that were discarded back on the Pokemon that discarded them, I would continue with this cycle as long as possible.  I would recommend a line of 2 Eevee and 1 Leafeon, or 3 and 2 in a dual or mostly grass type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  This card is extremely average, I could definitely see this card being an uncommon card, both moves are okay on this card but neither of them stand out.  If you're looking for a couple more cards to put in a deck this card along with Eevee wouldn't be a terrible choice.
