Heatmor -- Burning Shadows Pokemon Card Review

Heatmor Burning Shadows Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Heatmor from the Burning Shadows Pokemon Card Set.  Heatmor is a Basic, Fire type Pokemon card with a HP of 110.  Heatmor has a x2 weakness to Water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  This card does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move on this card is called Odor Sleuth, for two Colorless Energy cards, this move allows you to flip 2 coins, for each heads, you're able to put a card from your discard pile into your hand.  Searing Flame is the name of the second move on this card, for three Energy cards, one Fire and two Colorless, this move does 60 damage, plus it Burns the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Heatmor is a Basic Pokemon card with no evolution forms, you'll only have to use this card in a deck if you want to use Heatmor.  So knowing this, the first thing I would point out is that this card's two moves require a majority of Colorless type Energy cards, meaning it should fit easily into most decks.  This card would be pretty amazing if Odor Sleuth wasn't based off of coin flips, but because it is, it isn't as good, I would much rather use a Trainer card to achieve this same goal than a Pokemon.  Searing Flame does above average damage plus inflicts a Special Condition, it is just slow to set up.  Overall, this card is just okay, it can certainly be used in Fire type decks, but there is nothing special about this card.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Burning Shadows set.  Like I mentioned above, this card really isn't that bad overall, it just isn't anything special.  The card does have an above average HP and two moves, both which are decent.  But, this card does require three Energy cards to do damage when attacking, making it slow, and the move that would really help you in battle, Odor Sleuth, may not help you at all if you flip two tails.  I would recommend looking elsewhere when building a Fire type deck.

Heatmor -- BREAKpoint Pokemon Card Review

Heatmor BREAKpoint Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Heatmor from the BREAKpoint Pokemon Card Set.  Heatmor is a basic, fire type Pokemon card with an hp of 100, it has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Heatmor does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Reinforced Flame, for one fire type energy card this move does 20 damage plus 20 more damage if this card has a Pokemon Tool card attached to it.  Heatmor's second move is called Heat Blast and for three energy cards, two colorless and one fire, this move does 70 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Heatmor is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, of course you are going to want to use a Pokemon Tool card with this card to make Reinforced Flame do 40 damage a turn for only one energy card.  The Tool card I would recommend for Heatmor would be Muscle Band, allowing each of Heatmor's moves to do 20 more damage a turn, thus making Reinforced Flame do 60 damage a turn and potentially one hit KOing Basic, starter type Pokemon.  Even without this Pokemon Tool card, both of Heatmor's moves do above average damage so it is definitely worth a look when building fire type decks and as a starter type Pokemon in a dual type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a very good and powerful Basic Pokemon card from the BREAKpoint set.  This is the perfect starter type Pokemon for a fire type deck, especially with Muscle Band, this card can do major damage every single turn and attack very quickly.  So if you're building a fire type deck, I would highly recommend using at least one of these cards in your deck.

Heatmor -- Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Review

Heatmor Plasma Storm Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Heatmor from the Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Set.  Heatmor is a basic, fire type Pokemon card with an hp of 90. It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Heatmor does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves.  The first move it has is called Luring Flame, this move requires one fire energy card and allows you to switch your opponent's active Pokemon with one of their benched Pokemon and then burn that new active Pokemon.  Heatmor's second move is called Fiery Licks, this move requires three fire energy cards and does 50 damage times the number of heads you turn over when you discard the top 4 cards of your deck.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Heatmor is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  Because this card requires only fire energy cards you'll want to make sure that the deck you use this card in has a majority of the energy cards be fire type.  I wouldn't use more than one Heatmor in a deck because of how many energy cards it uses to attack and the number of cards it must discard to use Fiery Licks.  Strategy wise, I would put Heatmor on the bench, attach three energy cards to it, then if your opponent has a strong Pokemon card in the active Pokemon spot you should move in this card, use Luring Flame to get that Pokemon out of the active Pokemon spot, then next turn you should then use a trainer to rearrange the top cards on your deck and then use Fiery Licks to do big damage and knock out the defending Pokemon in one move.  Make sure to have a trainer that gets energy cards from your discard pile, that way Fiery Licks won't hurt you so much.  So again, this card is an okay card to use in a fire type deck, but I definitely wouldn't use more than 1 in that deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card from the Plasma Storm Pokemon Card set.  This card has above average hp and two very decent moves.  The thing I don't like about this card is that it requires solely fire energy to attack, and if you want to do major damage it will require you to discard a ton of cards from your deck, so late in the game when your deck is low, this card is useless.

Heatmor -- Dark Explorers Pokemon Card Review

Heatmor Dark Explorers Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Heatmor from the Dark Explorers Pokemon Card Set.  This is a basic, fire type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Heatmor doesn't have an Ability, but it does have two moves, the first move is called Hot Lick which takes one colorless energy card and does 10 damage plus 50 more damage if the defending Pokemon is Durant.  Heatmor's second move is called Firebreathing and for three energy cards, two colorless and one fire, it does 50 damage plus 20 more damage if you get a heads when you flip a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a basic Pokemon that doesn't evolve into anything, you can put this card into your active Pokemon spot as soon as you get it onto your bench, you can start attacking right away with Hot Lick, even though the move doesn't do very much, unless for some reason your opponent uses Durant, I would attack with Hot Lick until Heatmor gets three energy cards on it then use Firebreathing the rest of the time retreating when Heatmor is close to being knocked out.  I would only use 1 Heatmor in a deck since it is a basic Pokemon, and I would preferably keep Heatmor on the bench until it gets three energy cards on it so it can use Firebreathing right away.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  This card is a poor rare card from the Dark Explorers set, even though it has good high for a basic Pokemon, a good retreat cost, and is fairly quick this card just isn't very good overall, it can't do much damage (unless you're lucky) and even then it really can't do too much.  I would recommend finding a better fire type Pokemon to put in your deck instead of using this card.
