Bunnelby 120/160 -- Primal Clash Pokemon Card Review

Bunnelby Primal Clash Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Bunnelby from the Primal Clash Pokemon Card Set.  This is the first of two Bunnelby cards I'll be reviewing from this set.  Bunnelby is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. This Bunnelby card does not have an Ability or Ancient Trait and it only has one move.  The one move that it has is called Trip Over, for two colorless energy cards, this move does 10 damage, plus if you get a heads when you flip a coin it does 30 more damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Bunnelby is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Diggersby, which I've reviewed previously, I'll first look at this card as how good it is on its own then see if it would be wise to use this card and Diggersby together.  So looking at this card on its own, I would not recommend using this in a deck, I say this because the one move Bunnelby does have is a little slower and if you don't use Diggersby with this card, the retreat cost is pretty high.  The only way I would consider using this card is as a starter type Pokemon while having a Trick Coin card attached to it, that way you would have two chances at getting a heads when flipping a coin and being able to do 40 damage a turn instead of 10.  When I reviewed Diggersby from this set, I thought pretty much the same thing about that card, Diggersby had a good HP and one good move, albeit slow, but that card also had a high retreat cost, so unless you're really in love with this Pokemon family, I would recommend looking elsewhere for some colorless type Pokemon to use in your deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Primal Clash set.  This card has some positives like its high HP, and the fact it can potentially do 40 damage a turn, but the negatives outweigh the positives on this card, like the high retreat cost, and the potential to do only 10 damage per turn when attacking.  Combined with Diggersby from this set, I can only give these two cards a 2 out of 5 rating, the same each card received individually.

Bunnelby -- Phantom Forces Pokemon Card Review

Bunnelby Phantom Forces Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Bunnelby from the Phantom Forces Pokemon Card Set.  Bunnelby is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Bunnelby does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  Its first move is called Tackle, this move requires one colorless energy card and does 10 damage.  Bunnelby's second move is called Mud Shot, this move requires three colorless energy cards and does 30 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Bunnelby is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Diggersby, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own I wouldn't recommend using this card in a deck, just because it is limited in what I would want to do with it.  I could definitely see myself using this card if its first move stayed the same, but Mud Shot required two energy cards instead of three, but since it does require three, and I'm not using this card with Diggersby, I would never want to put three energy cards on this card only to do 30 damage.  So I would not recommend using this card, but if you choose to use it, just put one energy on this card and use Tackle every turn, don't waste your energy to do only 30 damage a turn, when many Pokemon out there can do 60 or more damage for only three energy cards.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Diggersby, this card is a below average Basic Pokemon card.  Everything is actually pretty average on this card, its HP, its low retreat cost, and its two moves, but Mud Shot just seems like it will never be used on this card because of its high attack cost, so that is why I am giving this card a below average rating.

Bunnelby -- Pokemon X and Y Card Review

Bunnelby Pokemon X and Y Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Bunnelby from the X and Y Pokemon Card Set.  Bunnelby is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Bunnelby does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Dig, for two colorless energy cards this move does 10 damage plus if you get a heads when you flip a coin, all effects of an attack against Bunnelby during your opponent's next turn is prevented.

So, on its own this card could be used as a starter type Pokemon because it can prevent your opponent's active Pokemon from attacking, but because this card is a little slower to attack itself and can only do 10 damage a turn, this card wouldn't be that high on my list to include a in a deck.  Of course, if you include this card in your deck, your only strategy will be to get Bunnelby into the active Pokemon spot and use Dig every turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average to slightly below average Basic Pokemon card from the X and Y set.  Other than being quite limited having only one move, I like the one move that this card does have because it has potential to stall your opponent and make them unable to attack.  Even though this card is average, I wouldn't recommend using this card in a deck just because it can do only 10 damage and it takes two energy cards to attack.
