Binacle -- Fates Collide Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Binacle from the Fates Collide Pokemon Card Set.  Binacle is a basic, water type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Binacle does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Swing Around, for two energy cards, one each of water and colorless, this move does 10 damage plus 20 more damage for each heads you get when flipping two coins.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Binacle is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Barbaracle, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own, I can't highly recommend using this card in a deck, the main reason being that this card is slow on the attack and has a higher retreat cost.  If you get lucky, and potentially use a Trick Coin trainer with this card, you could do 50 damage a turn for only two energy cards, but because this move is based on coin flips, this card could do below average damage every turn.  I think this card is best used with Barbaracle since it takes time to set up, so again, I cannot recommend using this card on its own.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Barbaracle, this card is a slightly below average Basic Pokemon card.  It has a solid HP and a potential to do a fair amount of damage, but overall it is too slow on the attack to use on its own.

Binacle -- Roaring Skies Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Binacle from the Roaring Skies Pokemon Card Set.  Binacle is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Binacle does not have an Ancient Trait or an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Sand Attack, for one fighting energy card this move makes your opponent flip a coin if they decide to attack during their next turn, if they get tails, the move they are trying to do does nothing.  Binacle's second move is called Mud-Slap, this move requires three energy cards to use, one colorless and two fighting, and does 40 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Binacle is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Barbaracle, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since there is not a Barbaracle card in this set, and the most recent Barbaracle card in a set is in the Flashfire set which I have reviewed previously and given a 3 out of 5 rating, I will act like I plan on using this Binacle card on its own.  So, on its own, I would not recommend using this card in a deck.  I say this because Binacle's Mud-Slap move is very slow on the attack and for the amount of energy cards required to attack, it does well below average damage.  If you aren't going to use Barbaracle in a deck, there is no reason to only use this card for Sand Attack, because there is no reason to just trying to prevent your opponent from attacking every turn while Binacle will never be able to do anything anyway.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Barbaracle, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card.  I am not a fan of this card at all, the only reason I am not giving this card a 1 out of 5 rating is because the card does have two moves and an average HP, if it just had one of the two moves, then I would have moved the card down even lower rating wise.  So you can do much better when building a fighting type deck than to use this card in it.

Binacle -- Flashfire Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Binacle from the Flashfire Pokemon Card Set.  Binacle is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to grass type Pokemon, no resistance, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Binacle does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Double Scratch.  This move requires two fighting energy cards to use, and does 30 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip 2 coins.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Binacle is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Barbaracle, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own I would not recommend using this card in a deck.  I say this because even though Binacle has a high hp, and can do up to 60 damage a turn, since Double Scratch is based on luck, you may end up doing 0 damage every turn, then if you want to retreat Binacle from the active Pokemon spot, you'll have to add one more energy card to it before retreating it.  If you do decide to use Binacle in a deck, make sure to not use more than one, and the earlier you get this card into the active Pokemon spot the better.  Because if you are a bit lucky with this card, Double Scratch will be able to do quite a bit of damage against weaker Basic Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Flashfire set.  This card does have some positives on it like having an above average hp, and the chance at doing 60 damage a turn for only 2 energy cards.  But I would not use this card in a deck, that is why I'm giving a below average rating, the retreat cost is way too high, the move isn't that great in my opinion.  So if you're building a fighting type deck, I would look elsewhere for a Basic Pokemon card.
