Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Mienfoo from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set. Mienfoo is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 60. It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Mienfoo does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move that this card has is called Flop, for one fighting energy card this move does 10 damage. Mienfoo's second move is called Lunge and for two colorless energy cards this move does 30 damage. However, you must flip a coin when using this move and if you get a tails the move does nothing.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Mienfoo is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Mienshao, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon. However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution. So, on its own I could definitely see myself using this card in a fighting type deck as a starter type Pokemon, but there are definitely better Basic Pokemon cards I could be using and would definitely try to use one of those first, like any of the Hitmon Pokemon from this set. If you do choose to use this card in a deck, I wouldn't include more than 1 if you aren't using Mienshao, I would try and get it into the active Pokemon spot early and use Flop most turns unless you can knock out the defending Pokemon by doing 30 damage then I may risk the coin flip and try and hope for a heads when using Lunge.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating. So in my opinion, this is an average to slightly below average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set. This card definitely has some positives on it like its low retreat cost, the fact it has two moves, and that it can do up to 30 damage per turn. However this card isn't the greatest because Flop can turn out to be a flop a not do any damage at all, thus making this card not as usable as it should be. So if you're looking for a fighting type Pokemon card to use, I would probably look elsewhere, but this card wouldn't be the worst to use.
