Magmar ex -- EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card Review

Magmar ex Pokemon Card EX Ruby and Sapphire setPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Magmar ex from the EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card set. This is a basic, fire type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90. It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. There is not a Poke-Power or Poke-Body on this card but there are two moves, the first move is called Smokescreen which does 10 damage for one fire energy card. After using this move, when your opponent tries to attack the next turn they have to flip a coin and if they get a tails the move does nothing. Magmar's second move is called Super Singe which takes three energy cards, two fire and one colorless energy card and does 40 damage plus burns the defending Pokemon.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
Magmar ex is probably one of the better cards I've reviewed in terms of attacking so far, I really like Super Singe on this card. Another thing I noted about this card and Electabuzz ex is that now these cards would never be produced because both Magmar and Electabuzz have stronger evolutions. The artwork on this card is quite similar to the Lapras card I reviewed yesterday since it has the same illustrator. This card has dark overtones with a dark red background which a dark Magmar blends right in to. I do have this ex card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $6, on Professor-Oak it sells for $12.00 and on PokeOrder it goes for $11.99. So it sells a tad bit higher than the other ex cards I've reviewed so far from this set.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Chansey, Hitmonchan, Lapras, Electabuzz, Mewtwo, Scyther, and Sneasel.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:
So thanks for reading today's Pokemon card review of Magmar ex from the EX Ruby and Sapphire set, stay tuned for tomorrow's card review of Mewtwo ex from the same set.
