Vanilluxe -- Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Review

Vanilluxe Guardians Rising Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Vanilluxe from the Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Set.  Vanilluxe is a Stage 2, Water type Pokemon card, with a HP of 140.  It has a x2 weakness to Metal type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  This card does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move on this card is called Hail, for one Water Energy card this move does 20 damage to each of your opponent's Pokemon.  Frozen Breath is the name of the second move on this card, for three Water Energy cards this move does 80 damage, plus you may Paralyze the defending Pokemon if you choose to discard two Water Energy cards from Vanilluxe.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Vanilluxe is a Stage 2 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Vanillite into play and then evolve it into Vanillish before you can evolve Vanillish into Vanilluxe, both of those Pokemon are from this set and I've reviewed both of them the last two days.  If you've read my reviews of those cards you'll know that I thought both cards were below average overall.  Unfortunately both Pokemon so far have had below average HP and one move each, although both cards have potential to do major damage, neither card is guaranteed to do that much damage when attacking.  So knowing this about the first two Pokemon in this line and looking at Vanilluxe, I would highly recommend evolving this line on the Bench.  I would also recommend using this line in a spread attack deck, you can put Vanilluxe in the Active Pokemon spot when it only has one Energy card on it, and do 20 damage to all of your opponent's Pokemon in play, not only is this a quick move, but the total amount of damage possible with this one move is pretty great.  Frozen Breath also does above average damage, but I would stick to Hail most turns, and I wouldn't recommend discarding Energy cards when attacking either.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average Stage 2 Pokemon card from the Guardians Rising set.  Other than having a somewhat low HP for a Stage 2 Pokemon card, this card is pretty good overall.  It can be used in a mostly Water type deck and do 80 damage per turn, or in a spread attack type deck and do 20 damage to each Pokemon in play.  Unfortunately, because Vanillite and Vanillish from this set aren't that good, I can only give this line a 3 out of 5 combined rating, definitely evolve this line on the Bench.
