Klang -- Steam Siege Pokemon Card Review

Klang Steam Siege Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Klang from the Steam Siege Pokemon Card set.  Klang is a Stage 1, metal type Pokemon card, with an HP of 80.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Klang does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Vice Grip and does 30 damage for two energy cards, one each of metal and colorless.  Klang's second move is called Disorderly Flip and for three energy cards, two metal and one colorless, this move does 30 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip 4 coins.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Klang is a Stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Klink into play (I reviewed Klink from this set yesterday) and then evolve Klink into Klang.  Klang does have a Stage 2 evolution in Klinklang, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, that you'll probably want to use with this Pokemon line but since I haven't reviewed that card yet, the strategy below will act like Klang is the final evolution in this line.  So if you read my review of Klink, you'll know that I thought it was a below average Basic Pokemon card, the card definitely had some potential to do a good amount of damage for very little energy, but the card itself had a low HP and a high retreat cost, and its only move was based off of coin flips.  So knowing this about Klink and looking at this Klang card, this card is similar in that it has a below average HP, a higher retreat cost, yet has the potential to do well above average damage.  If you decide to use Klang in a deck it would be for its Disorderly Flip move, since it can do up to 120 damage per turn for three energy cards, just like with Klink, you'll want to make sure you have 4 Trick Coin trainer cards in your deck if you are using Klang, because that will give you the best shot at doing major damage.  So, the only way I would recommend using a 1-1 line of this Pokemon family is with that full line of Trick Coin trainers.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is a below average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Steam Siege set.  This Stage 1 card has a below average HP, higher retreat cost, yet two solid moves, making it usable in a deck, but not the greatest card out there to use.  Together with Klink from this set, which I gave a 2 out of 5 rating, I would give these two cards a 2 out of 5 rating, like I mentioned in the strategy section of this post, if you're using Trick Coin trainers or if you don't mind coin flip based moves, this is a usable line.

Klinklang (Japanese: ギギギアル Gigigiaru) is a Steel-type Pokémon. It evolves from Klang starting at level 49 and is the final form of Klink.
