Nidoking -- Steam Siege Pokemon Card Review

Nidoking Steam Siege Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Nidoking from the Steam Siege Pokemon Card Set.  Nidoking is a stage 2, psychic type Pokemon card, with a HP of 150.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a four colorless energy card retreat cost.  Nidoking's Ability is called King's Palace and says that your Nidoqueen's attacks do 20 more damage to your opponent's active Pokemon.  Besides the Ability, Nidoking just has one move called Power Lariat, this move requires three energy cards to use, two psychic and one colorless, and does 60 damage plus 30 more damage for each Evolution Pokemon on your bench.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Nidoking is a stage 2 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Nidoran into play and then evolve it into Nidorino before you can evolve Nidorino into Nidoking, both of those Pokemon are from this set and I've reviewed both of them the last two days.  If you've read my reviews of those cards you'll know that I thought both cards were below average overall and together.  Both Pokemon were slow on the attack, and really were only average if the corresponding female evolution was in play with that card.  The same goes for Nidoking, this card is extremely poor unless you have multiples of this line in play or Nidoqueen.  There is no way I would recommend wasting four energy cards to retreat this card when it only requires three energy cards to attack.  So, if you're building a psychic type deck, unless you also plan on using the full line of Nidoqueen, there is no way I can recommend this line at all.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is a below average Stage 2 Pokemon card from the Steam Siege set.  Not only does this card do no more than average damage with the one move that it has, but its Ability is practically useless, and its retreat cost is higher than its attack cost.  Altogether, I gave each card in this line a below average rating, and because of this, I can only give this line a 1 out of 5 rating total.

True if you're counting ties as being the highest. False if you are not. He is tied with Hydreigon for most HP as a stage 2.

Hydreigon also has 150 hp. So he shares the highest HP of the staage to pokemon cards in the Steam Siege set.

If a tie counts as a win than Nidoking is the highest hp shared with other pokemon but if it doesnt that false(hydreigon is the other pokemon just in case you needed to know that info)

this is false pokemon
hydreigon is tied with it and there are plenty of stage 2 pokemon in other sets with 160hp

False, it's a tie with Hydreigon, so it doesn't count as "the highest Hp of any Stage 2 Pokémon"
