Scizor EX -- BREAKpoint Pokemon Card Review

Scizor EX BREAKpoint Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Scizor EX and Scizor EX Full Art from the BREAKpoint Pokemon Card Set.  Scizor EX is a basic, EX, metal type Pokemon card with an hp of 170. It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Scizor EX does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Steel Wing, for one metal energy card this move does 20 damage, plus it reduces any damage against Scizor during your opponent's next turn by 20.  Scizor's second move is called Gale Thrust and for two metal energy cards this move does 50 damage plus 60 more damage if you Scizor was just moved from the bench to the active Pokemon spot.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, because Scizor EX is a basic Pokemon card you won't need to use any other cards with this card.  But remember, because this card is an EX card, if this card is knocked out, two prize cards are taken instead of one.  However, Scizor does have a mega evolution you could use from this set and I will be reviewing that card tomorrow, so this strategy below will act like Scizor EX does not have an evolution.  So knowing this, on its own, the only way I would recommend using this card is if you have a way in your deck to consistently move Scizor EX in and out of the active Pokemon spot, if you can do this for free, by using another Pokemon's Ability or re-using the same trainer card, you can then use Scizor EX every other turn and do 110 damage a turn for only two energy cards.  If you can't do this in your deck, do not use this card, it just isn't that good, both moves on their own aren't even average for an EX card.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average EX Pokemon card from the BREAKpoint set, and it is only average if you can utilize the strategy I talked about above, on the whole this card just isn't that great and is under-powered as an EX card, so there are definitely better ones out there to use.
