Oricorio #56/145 -- Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Review

Oricorio Guardians Rising Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Oricorio from the Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Set.  Oricorio is a Basic, Psychic type Pokemon card with a HP of 90.  Oricorio has a x2 weakness to Darkness type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to Fighting type Pokemon, and a one Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  This Oricorio card does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move on this card is called Supernatural Dance, for one Colorless Energy card, this move allows you to put 1 damage counter on any of your opponent's Pokemon for each Pokemon in your opponent's discard pile.  Oricorio's second move is called Revelation Dance, for one Colorless Energy card this move does 30 damage, however, if there is not a Stadium card in play, this move does nothing.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Oricorio is a Basic Pokemon card with no evolution forms, you'll only have to use this card in a deck if you want to use Oricorio.  So knowing this, the Supernatural Dance move on this card can be very powerful.  Pair this card up with a Pokemon that can discard cards from your opponent's hand or deck, or a Trainer that does the same, and this move has the potential to do major damage, plus you can spread that damage around.  If you're using a Stadium card in your deck, Revelation Dance would make Oricorio a solid starter type Pokemon as well.  So although this card can't do that much by itself, combined with the right types of cards and this card is pretty good.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion this is an above average Basic Pokemon card from the Guardians Rising set.  Like I mentioned above, other than the fact this card can't do much without a way to discard cards of your opponent's and Stadium cards, this card is still above average overall, with a great HP and two moves that make this card a powerful starter type Pokemon and a good card for a spread attack deck, this is one that should be considered when deck building.
