M Altaria EX -- Fates Collide Pokemon Card Review

M Altaria EX Fates Collide Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of M Altaria EX from the Fates Collide Pokemon Card Set.  M Altaria EX is a Mega Evolution, EX, fairy type Pokemon card with an hp of 220. It has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to darkness type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  M Altaria does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Mist Purge, for three energy cards, one fairy and two colorless, this move does 100 damage plus 30 more damage and heals 30 damage from each of your own Pokemon if this card has a Special energy card attached to it.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
Before I start with the strategy, remember that this card is a Mega Evolution card and an EX card so if you use this card in your deck and it gets knocked out, your opponent gets to take two prize cards instead of one and when you evolve an EX card into its Mega Evolution, your turn ends, you cannot do anything else.  So knowing these things, you'll always want to use Mega Evolution cards with caution, with that being said, you'll always want to use the appropriate Spirit Link trainer card do evolve the EX card into its Mega EX form so you don't have to end your turn.  So knowing how Mega EX cards work, I would highly recommend using this card in a fairy type deck, or almost any deck where you plan on using 4 Double Colorless energy cards.  Not only can Mist Purge do 130 damage a turn for only three energy cards, but that move can quickly heal damage from all of your benched Pokemon.  I have not reviewed Altaria EX from this set yet since it is a colorless type card, but regardless of how good or bad that card is, I would highly recommend using this card.  You could also use this card with a Pokemon that does major damage every turn but also does 10 or 20 damage a turn to your own Pokemon, you could use that card a few turns then use this card two turns and remove all damage from that previous Pokemon.  So again, definitely use this card in a deck, but make sure to use a Double Colorless energy card with it.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an excellent Mega EX Pokemon card from the Fates Collide set.  Although this card is limited in what it can do, just having one move, the one move it does have is spectacular, doing well above average damage and healing a bunch of HP from all of your Pokemon every single turn.  Especially if you're building a fairy type deck, but even other type decks, should give this card a hard look at using this card in that deck.
