Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Rocket’s Snorlax ex from the EX Team Rocket Returns set. This is a basic, dark type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Snorlax’s Poke-Body is called Dark Healer which says as long as Snorlax has a darkness energy card attached to it, you may remove one damage counter between turns. Besides the Poke-Body, Snorlax has two moves, the first move is called Poison Claws which does 20 damage for 2 colorless energy cards and if you get a heads when you flip a coin the defending Pokemon is poisoned. Snorlax’s second move is called Collapse and does 60 damage for four colorless energy cards, after doing the damage Snorlax is asleep.
PrimetimePokemon's Take:
As much as I like Snorlax, I am somewhat disappointed with this card. For one, it doesn’t have enough hp to be able to last long enough to do some damage, its Poke-Body helps but not enough. And four energy cards to do 60 damage seems like a waste of energy, besides the fact Snorlax goes to sleep after the move, so I would stay away from this Snorlax card if I were you. It is colorless though so it does fit in any deck but I wouldn’t put it in any unlimited format deck if I were you. I am also disappointed in the artwork of this card, it isn’t anything special and Snorlax looks like one giant slob. I have this ex card in my collection.
Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $12, on Professor-Oak it sells for $26.25 and $22.49 on PokeOrder.
