Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Rocket’s Sneasel ex from the EX Team Rocket Returns set. This is a basic, dark type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, a -30 resistance to psychic type Pokemon and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Sneasel doesn’t have a Poke-Power or Poke-Body but it does have two moves, the first move is called Drag Off which takes one darkness energy card and does 10 damage before attacking you may choose to have your opponent switch their active Pokemon and then do 10 damage to that new Pokemon instead. Sneasel’s second move is called Dark Ring which takes three energy cards, two darkness and one colorless, and does 30 damage plus 10 more damage for each dark Pokemon you have in play.
PrimetimePokemon's Take:
This card is another weaker ex card from this set. However this is the first ex card I’ve reviewed from this set that is actual a dark type card that requires dark type energy to attack. Since this card is a dark type card you’ll want to use this card in a dark type deck thus you should wait until you have a good number of dark Pokemon in play before you use Sneasel ex so you can do more than 30 damage with Dark Ring. The artwork on this card is okay, I like how the background coloring makes it look like Sneasel is falling down through the air, but other than the motion aspect of the artwork I don’t really like this card. I do have this ex card in my collection.
Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $8, on Professor-Oak it sells for $15 and $14.99 on PokeOrder.
