Reshiram EX -- Next Destinies Set Pokemon Card Review

Reshiram EX Next Destinies Pokemon CardPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Reshiram EX from the Next Destinies set. This is the second of two Reshiram card reviews from this set, the regular holo version was reviewed yesterday. This is a basic, EX, fire type Pokemon card, with an hp of 180. It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Reshiram doesn't have an Ability, but it does have two moves, the first move is called Glinting Claws which does 50 damage plus 30 more damage if you get a heads when you flip coin, Reshiram does all this for only three energy cards, two colorless, and one fire. Reshiram's second move is called Brave Fire which does 150 damage for 4 energy cards, two each of fire and colorless. However when using this move, you must flip a coin, if you get a tails, Reshiram does 50 damage to itself.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is such a powerful EX Pokemon card that can do major damage, you'll definitely want to stock this card up with energy cards on your bench before you put it into the active Pokemon position. That way you prevent or reduce the risk of getting knocked out by your own damage when using Brave Fire. I would be brave enough to use Brave Fire in battle, especially if 80 damage won't knock out the defending Pokemon in one turn. With 180 hp I will take the risk of doing 50 damage to Reshiram. You may want to have some potions in your deck to remove that self inflicted damage though, so you can do 150 damage to numerous Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating. This is the card I have always imagined an EX card would be like, extremely high hp and two massive moves, it doesn't even matter what else is on the card, just knowing this card can do 150 damage every tun makes this card a 5 out of 5. I would definitely build a fire deck and put 4 Reshirams in the deck, 2 each of EX and regular.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:
So thanks for reading today's Pokemon card review of Reshiram EX from the Next Destinies set, stay tuned for tomorrow's card review of Lapras from the same set.

It is ok to have four regular and four ex. They count as different Pokemon.
