Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Mewtwo ex from the EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card set. This is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Once again this card has two moves, not a Poke-Power or Poke-Body. Mewtwo's two moves are called Energy Absorption and Psyburn, Energy Absorption takes one psychic energy card and allows you to discard two energy cards from your discard pile to Mewtwo. Psyburn does 60 damage for three energy cards, two psychic and one colorless.
PrimetimePokemon's Take:
This is definitely the best ex card I've reviewed so far, it looks quite cool and can do the most damage, quite quickly too. It actually does 60 damage for 3 energy cards which is standard today on a lot of current cards. I like the artwork on this card which was done by Katsura Tabata, the background is a dark purple but Mewtwo is holding a Psyball that is beaming with red all around it. I have this card in my collection.
Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $6, on Professor-Oak it sells for $12.36 and on PokeOrder it goes for $19.99. As I figured this card sells for a bit more than the other ex cards in this set, since Mewtwo is a popular Pokemon and this card is a little stronger than the other ex cards.
Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Chansey, Hitmonchan, Lapras, Magmar, Electabuzz, Scyther, and Sneasel.
