Raichu ex -- EX Sandstorm Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Raichu ex from the EX Sandstorm set. This is a stage 1, electric type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. This card doesn't have a Poke-Body or Poke-Power but it does have two moves, the first move is called Dazzle Blast which does 20 damage for one electric energy card and makes the defending Pokemon confused if you get a heads when you flip a coin. Raichu's second move is called Mega Thunderbolt and does 120 damage for three energy cards, two electric and one colorless, however after using this move you have to discard all energy cards attached to Raichu.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
This card can knock almost any Pokemon out in one move with Mega Thunderbolt but unfortunately you'll have to wait a few turns after that to be able to use the move again. It looks like the whole card is based around that move since the artwork reflects Raichu using a thunderbolt move, it reminds me heavily of the Pokemon Movie that featured Mewtwo. The illustrator of this card was Ryo Ueda. I have this card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $6, on Professor-Oak it sells for $16.54 and on PokeOrder it goes for $39.99. I have no idea why it is listed for so much on PokeOrder so if you're looking to buy this card definitely check out the other two sites.
