Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Golett from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set. Golett is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90. It has a x2 weakness to darkness type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Golett does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Nap which requires two colorless energy cards and removes 40 damage from Golett. Golett's second move is called Pound and for three energy cards, two colorless and one psychic, this move does 40 damage.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Golett has a stage 1 evolution in Golurk, I would suggest evolving Golett into Golurk as soon as possible because evolution cards are usually better. This card wouldn't be an ideal starter card because it is pretty slow, but if you get a few energy cards on this card on your bench it wouldn't be that bad to put it into the active Pokemon spot because you can do 40 damage every turn with Pound and if you get a lot of damage on Golett you can use Nap which will remove a good chunk of damage. I would try and include this card with Golurk in a psychic type deck, I would not use this card on its own because like I said earlier, this card is pretty slow and won't be a good basic Pokemon card to start a game with.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating. In my opinion, this is a below average, basic Pokemon card. Even though it has a good hp, it has a high retreat cost, two slow moves, and one move that doesn't do much damage for three energy cards. So I would recommend either evolving Golett into Golurk immediately or leaving Golett out of your deck completely.
