Victini -- Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Victini from the Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Set.  Victini is a Basic, Fire type Pokemon card with a HP of 70.  Victini has a x2 weakness to Water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  Victini's Ability is called Victory Star, it says that after you flip any coins for an attack, you may ignore all results of those coin flips and begin flipping those coins again.  Besides the Ability, Victini has one move called V-Flame, for two Energy cards, one each of Fire and Colorless, this move does 50 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Victini is a Basic Pokemon card with no evolution forms, you'll only have to use this card in a deck if you want to use Victini.  So knowing this, if you generally play at least one Trick Coin Trainer in your deck, this card is an improvement on that Trainer, since Victini can be used solely on the Bench and any Pokemon in play can use its Ability.  Really, if you have any Pokemon that do attacks based on coin flips, I would highly recommend using at least one of these Victini card in the deck.  Besides its Ability, V-Flame does do a good amount of damage, and could be used throughout the game in the Active Pokemon spot.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion this is an excellent Basic Pokemon card from the Guardians Rising set.  Like I mentioned above, this card is a suitable replacement for the Trick Coin Trainer, and is even an improvement on that card.  If you have any Pokemon that have attacks based on coin flips, definitely include Victini in your deck.  Plus, 50 damage for two Energy cards is well above average damage, so it is just a great card overall.

Victini -- Roaring Skies Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Victini from the Roaring Skies Pokemon Card Set.  Victini is a basic, fire type Pokemon card with an hp of 70, it has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Victini does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Me First, for one colorless energy card, this move allows you to draw a card.  Victini's second move is called Psy Bolt, this move requires two energy cards to use, one each of fire and colorless, and does 20 damage, plus if you get a heads when flipping a coin, the defending Pokemon is paralyzed.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Victini is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, this card would be mainly used as a starter type Pokemon since it has a lower HP for a Basic Pokemon that doesn't evolve and the maximum damage it can do is 20 damage a turn.  So if you're building a fire type deck, you may want to include one of these cards in your deck, try to get it into the active Pokemon spot early, and you can then get extra cards in your hand quickly by using Me First, or prevent your opponent from attacking, hopefully, with Psy Bolt.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the Roaring Skies set.  Even though this card isn't anything special, it is just solid overall and could be used as a starter type Pokemon in a deck.  It has a decent HP, two good moves, and a low retreat cost, that would make an alright addition to any fire type deck out there.

Victini EX Full Art -- Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Victini EX Full Art from the Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Set.  Victini is a basic, EX, fire type Pokemon card with an hp of 110. It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Victini EX does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move it has is called Turbo Energize, this move requires one fire energy card and allows you to search your deck for 2 energy cards and then attach them to your benched Pokemon in any way you like.  Victini EX's second move is called Intensifying Burn, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one fire, and does 50 damage plus 50 more damage if you are facing an EX Pokemon card.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, because Victini EX is a basic Pokemon card you won't need to use any other cards with this card.  But remember, because this card is an EX card, if this card is knocked out, two prize cards are taken instead of one.  Strategy-wise this is an EX card I would not use in one of my decks, but I will tell you my strategy if I were to use one of these cards in my deck, and I would only use 1 maximum in a fire type deck.  I would try and get Victini into the active Pokemon spot to start the game, then attach one energy card to it and use Turbo Energize to setup my benched Pokemon, because Victini EX has 110 hp, it should be able to endure your opponent's basic Pokemon's attacks for quite a few turns.  Once your benched Pokemon is set up, I would retreat Victini and put one of your benched Pokemon into play.  I wouldn't attach three energy cards to Victini because more than likely you won't be facing an EX card.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average EX Pokemon card.  Surprisingly I don't like this EX card very much.  It has too low of hp for my liking and neither of its moves are very good at all.  Other than the card itself looking pretty cool, this wouldn't be a card I would spend a bunch of money on to include in one of my decks.

Victini -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Victini from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Vicitni is a basic, fire type Pokemon card, with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Victini does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move it has is called Collect which requires one colorless energy card and allows you to draw one card.  Victini's second move is called Relentless Flame which requires two energy cards, one each of fire and colorless, and does 30 damage times the number of heads you get in a row when you flip a coin.  However as soon as you get a tails, it is done attacking, so the move may end up doing 0 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Victini is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  I would mostly use this card for its Collect move, it is a quick way to get extra cards in your hand.  I would use this card as a starter Pokemon and use Collect a couple of turns to get many cards in my hand, then try my luck once or twice with Relentless Flame, then retreat Victini back to the bench, leaving it there until I need to get cards into my hand again.  I would not use more than 1 Victini card in a deck, and since this card requires mostly colorless type energy cards, this card works well in any deck.  Like I said, I would use only 1 Victini card in a deck, if you choose to use this card, however I personally wouldn't use this card in a deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average basic Pokemon card.  Even though this move does have a high hp, and a low retreat cost, and is fairly quick, I am still giving this card a below average rating.  The reason I'm doing this is because neither of its moves are very good, and neither can for sure do damage every turn.  So if you're looking for a starter Pokemon that can do some damage, you'll have to look elsewhere.  I would not recommend using this card in a deck.
