Pangoro -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Pangoro Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Pangoro from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Pangoro is a stage 1, darkness type Pokemon card, with an hp of 120.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Pangoro does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Clobber and for two energy cards, one each of darkness and colorless, this move does 30 damage plus if you discard an item card from your hand the move does 40 more damage.  Pangoro's second move is called Hammer Arm, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one darkness, and does 80 damage, plus you can discard the top card of your opponent's deck.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Pangoro is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get one of the two Pancham cards from this set into play (I reviewed both from this set a few weeks back) and then evolve Pancham into Pangoro.  If you read those reviews you'll know that I thought both Pancham cards were pretty poor, so if you had to choose one of them, when using with Pangoro, I would go with the one numbered 59/111 because at least you can evolve Pancham immediately when you get it into the active Pokemon spot.  So knowing that both of the Pancham cards from this set aren't good, I wouldn't recommend too many of these Pokemon in a deck.  At most, I would only include a 1-1 line of Pancham and Pangoro.  I would set up Pancham on the bench, get three energy cards on it, move it to the active Pokemon spot and evolve it immediately into Pangoro, or hopefully you were able to evolve it on the bench.  Then I would use Hammer Arm every single turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  This card has a well above average HP, and two average to above average moves.  I really like Pangoro's Hammer Arm move since it does below average damage plus it discards one of your opponent's cards in their deck.  However, this card does have a high retreat cost and neither of the Pancham cards in this set are very good.  So overall, I would give Pancham and Pangoro from this set a 3 out of 5 rating.

Scrafty -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Scrafty Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Scrafty from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Scrafty is a stage 1, darkness type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Scrafty does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Low Kick, for two colorless energy cards this move does 30 damage.  Scrafty's second move is called Machine Gun Headbutt and for two darkness energy cards it does 50 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip 3 coins, unfortunately after using this move, Scrafty is confused.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Scrafty is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Scraggy into play (I reviewed Scraggy from this set yesterday) and then evolve Scraggy into Scrafty.  If you read yesterday's review of Scraggy, you'll know that I thought that card was an average Basic Pokemon card, even though it only had one move and a two colorless energy card retreat cost, I liked the card because it could do 30 damage for only two energy cards.  So knowing this about Scraggy and looking at this Scrafty card, I may include 1 each of Scraggy and Scrafty into a deck.  I would try and get Scraggy into the active Pokemon spot early, use its only move to do 30 damage then evolve it into Scrafty and keep doing 30 damage.  The only time I would use Machine Gun Headbutt is if I needed to knock out a Pokemon that had a ton of HP.  Also if I were going to use Scrafty in a deck, I would make sure to include some trainer cards that removed confusion so I could use Machine Gun Headbutt multiple turns without getting confused every time.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  There isn't much to complain about on this card since it has an average HP and retreat cost and two moves.  Low Kick is an average move, and Machine Gun Headbutt could potentially be an above average move if you get some luck and you remove the confusion right away.  So overall, if you're building a darkness type deck and need a couple more cards in it, I would definitely recommend taking a look at these two Pokemon, together I would give the cards a 3 out of 5 rating, the same ratings each card received individually.

Scraggy -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Scraggy Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Scraggy from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Scraggy is a basic, darkness type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Scraggy does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move it has is called Corkscrew Punch, this move requires two darkness energy cards and does 30 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Scraggy is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Scrafty, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own I could see myself using one of these cards in my darkness type deck if I just needed one more card to make my deck 60.  This card really isn't that bad, especially as a starter type Pokemon, you could put it into the active Pokemon spot to start the game, wait one turn to get two energy cards on it then use Corkscrew Punch every turn, which does do above average damage.  The reason I wouldn't use too many of these cards in a deck is because Corkscrew Punch requires two energy cards to use and the retreat cost on Scraggy is the same.  Other than that, this card's HP is average so it will be able to endure an attack from your opponent for a few turns.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, this is an average to slightly below average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  I like this cards only move called Corkscrew Punch, it does above average damage and is not too slow to use.  But because this move is the only thing Scraggy can do and because this card has a higher retreat cost, I wouldn't go overboard using this card in a deck, and only using one of these cards if I were to use one at all.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:

Drapion -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Drapion Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Drapion from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Drapion is a stage 1, darkness type Pokemon card, with an hp of 110.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Drapion does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Venoshock, this move requires one darkness energy card and does 20 damage plus 40 more damage if your opponent is poisoned.  Drapion's second move is called Venomous Fang, this move requires a ridiculous four energy cards, two each of darkness and colorless, and does 80 damage, plus it poisons the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Drapion is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Skorupi into play (I reviewed Skorupi from this set a few weeks ago) and then evolve Skorupi into Drapion.  If you read my review of Skorupi, you'll know that I thought that card was a below average Basic Pokemon card, not only was it a psychic type Pokemon, so it differed in type from this card, but neither move it had was very good, one was based on a coin flip, the other could only do 30 damage for three energy cards.  So knowing this about Skorupi and looking at this Drapion card, because this card is so slow and Skorupi isn't that great, I would include at maximum a 1-1 line of this Pokemon family.  I would try and work this line into a darkness type deck that also had a lot of Pokemon that could poison the defending Pokemon, that way, you could set up this line on your bench, only need to put one energy card on Drapion and since the defending Pokemon would be poisoned when you would move Drapion to the active Pokemon spot you could use Venoshock the first turn and do 60 damage for only one energy card.  After that, I would try and get four energy cards on Drapion to use Venomous Fang and do 80 damage a turn and poison the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an average to slightly below average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  This card has an above average HP and two solid moves.  However, Venomous Fang is extremely slow, and unless the defending Pokemon is already poisoned, Venoshock isn't an impressive move by any means.  So unless you really need another Pokemon line in your deck, I would probably look elsewhere because together I would give Skorupi and Drapion from this set a 2 out of 5 rating, individually I gave Skorupi a 2 and Drapion a 3.

Hawlucha EX -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Hawlucha EX Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Hawlucha EX from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Hawlucha EX is a basic, EX, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 130. It has a x2 weakness to lightning type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Hawlucha's Ability is called Counterattack and says that any time Hawlucha EX is your active Pokemon and attacked by your opponent, put two damage counters on that attacking Pokemon.  Besides the Ability, Hawlucha just has one move called Moonsault Stomp, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one fighting, and does 60 damage, plus if there is a Stadium card in play the move does 100 damage total instead of 60.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, because Hawlucha EX is a basic Pokemon card you won't need to use any other cards with this card.  But remember, because this card is an EX card, if this card is knocked out, two prize cards are taken instead of one.  So knowing this, I may consider using one of these cards in a deck, especially if I am going to include some Stadium cards in my deck.  I would then make sure to set Hawlucha up on the bench, get three energy cards on it, get a Stadium card into play, then move Hawlucha to the active Pokemon spot.  That way, you could use Moonsault Stomp every single turn doing 100 damage a turn, plus if the opponent attacks, Hawlucha does an additional 20 damage to it.  The reason I wouldn't use more than one of these in a deck is because for an EX card, Hawlucha has a pretty low HP, and I wouldn't want to give up two prize cards.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average EX Card from the Furious Fists set.  I like both Hawlucha's move and Ability, but neither are that dominant where they would make this card a must play.  Besides having a good move and Ability, this card has a very low HP for an EX which makes this card not that great, thus making this card average overall.  So if you are building a fighting type deck, I would definitely recommend looking at this card and trying it out, but there are definitely better EX cards out there if you want to use one in your deck.

Hawlucha -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Hawlucha Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Hawlucha from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Hawlucha is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 70, it has a x2 weakness to lightning type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a free retreat cost.  Hawlucha's Ability is called Shining Spirit and says that when attacking using Flying Press, the move isn't affected by weakness or resistance.  Besides the Ability, Hawlucha only has one move called Flying Press, this move requires one fighting type energy card and does 60 damage, however this move only works on EX Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Hawlucha is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, you'll definitely not want to include more than one of these cards in a fighting type deck if you decide to use one at all.  Because Flying Press can only attack EX cards, your best bet strategy wise would be to get Hawlucha on your bench, put 1 energy card on it, then when your opponent puts an EX card into the active Pokemon spot, you can move Hawlucha into the active Pokemon spot, use Flying Press once, then retreat Hawlucha the next turn.  However, because Hawlucha only has 70 HP, you're more than likely going to get knocked out right away if you face an EX Pokemon with more than 70 HP remaining, so the only way I would even use this card would be if my active Pokemon gets knocked out, then I move Hawlucha into the active Pokemon spot and can knock that EX card out by doing 60 HP, then your opponent doesn't have any Pokemon in play that will be able to knock out Hawlucha that next turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  There is quite a bit of strategy to be used around this card, but overall I don't think the strategy is worth it and would not recommend using this card in a deck.  I would rather include more powerful Pokemon in my deck that won't get knocked out in one turn by an EX card.  So even though this card has a really quick move that does major damage, and a free retreat cost, I would not recommend using this card in a deck because it only works against EX cards, so it severely limits what this card can do.

Tyrantrum -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Tyrantrum Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Tyrantrum from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Tyrantrum is a stage 1, fighting type Pokemon card, with an hp of 150.  It has a x2 weakness to gras type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Tyrantrum does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Chew Up, for three energy cards, two colorless and one fighting, this move does 60 damage plus it does 30 more damage if your opponent's active Pokemon has any special energy cards attached to it.  Tyrantrum's second move is called Giga Impact and for four energy cards, two each of fighting and colorless, this move does 150 damage.  However you can't attack the turn after you use this move.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Tyrantrum is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Tyrunt into play (I reviewed Tyrunt from this set yesterday) and then evolve Tyrunt into Tyrantrum.  If you read yesterday's review of Tyrunt, you'll know that I thought that card was a below average Basic Pokemon card because neither move the card has was that great and because you need to use a Trainer card just to be able to get Tyrunt into play.  So knowing this about Tyrunt and looking at this Tyrantrum card, I would consider using one each of the cards you need for this line to work, so one Jaw Fossil, one Tyrunt, and one Tyrantrum.  I would then evolve Tyrunt into Tyrantrum on the bench and get four energy cards on it.  I would keep Tyrantrum on the bench until the opponent put an extremely powerful Pokemon into the active Pokemon spot, I would then move Tyrantrum into the active Pokemon spot and use Giga Impact hopefully knocking it out in that one turn.  After that instead of retreating it, I would stick with using Chew Up until you need to knock out a Pokemon in one turn again.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  There are definitely some positives to this card like its high HP and its ability to do 150 damage per turn, but since this move only works every other turn, it makes it a lot worse, plus adding in that the card requires at least 3 energy cards to attack and 3 energy cards to retreat, this card is average overall.  So together with Tyrunt I would give this Pokemon line a 3 out of 5 rating.  This line can do some major damage, but I wouldn't fear looking elsewhere when building a fighting type deck.

Tyrunt -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Tyrunt Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Tyrunt from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Tyrunt is a restored (Basic), fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Tyrunt does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Gnaw, for two energy cards, one each of fighting and colorless, this move does 30 damage.  Tyrunt's second move is called Crunch, this move requires three energy cards to use, two colorless and one fighting, and does 50 damage, plus if you get a heads when flipping a coin, your opponent must discard an energy card attached to their active Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Tyrunt is a Restored Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Tyrantrum, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own of course you'll have to get the card into play using the Trainer called Jaw Fossil, this trainer card allows you to search the bottom 7 cards of your deck and if you find an Tyrunt there you can put it onto your bench.  Other than that, you can't get Tyrunt into the active play area.  So if you choose to use this card in a deck, you'll need to include 1 Jaw Fossil trainer for each Tyrunt you plan on using.  I personally would not use this card in a deck without Tyrantrum.  I say this because not only is Tyrunt not that great, but you have to add more cards in your deck than you should have to just to get Tyrunt into the active Pokemon spot.  If I were to use this card in a deck, I would use at a maximum 2 of these cards, and try and get 1 Tyrunt into the active Pokemon start to start the game, then get two and then three energy cards on it to attack.  This card does have a good HP so it should be able to last quite a while in the active Pokemon spot at the beginning of the game with many Pokemon being only able to do 10 or 20 damage a turn at the beginning.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, this is a below average Restored Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  I do like that this card has a high HP, and two moves, but this card is a Restored Pokemon, which makes it harder to use, because you have to include more cards in your deck for basically a Basic Pokemon, plus neither of the moves this card has are above average.  So you're definitely better off if building a fighting type deck to use a Pokemon line Hitmonlee or Landorus from this set.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:

Pancham #60/111 -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Pancham Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Pancham from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  This is the second of two consecutive reviews I'll be doing on Pancham from this set.  Pancham is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. This Pancham does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move it has is called Comet Punch, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 10 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip 4 coins.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Pancham is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Pangoro, which I'll be reviewing in a couple of weeks since it is a darkness type Pokemon, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution, however I have reviewed the other Pancham card from this set and will be comparing the two later in this post.  So, on its own if you would like to use Pancham in a deck, this would be the Pancham to use.  This card still isn't that great since its only move is based off of coin flips, but you could easily use this card as a starter type Pokemon in your deck, get it into the active Pokemon spot early in the game, wait a turn until you have two energy cards on it and then use Comet Punch every turn.  This card is good in that it requires colorless energy cards only allowing you to place it in any type deck.  Like I said, if you plan to use Pancham on its own without Pangoro, this is the card to use because it has a higher HP and can do more damage for less energy than yesterday's card, however since neither card is that great, you could easily use yesterday's Pancham and use its first move to immediately evolve it into Pangoro.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  This card does have a high HP and is able to fit into any type deck, but because its move is coin flip based, it may end up doing zero damage every single turn, thus making me give this card a lower rating.  So unless you really want to use Pancham in your deck, I would avoid both of these cards in the Furious Fists set.

Pancham #59/111 -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Pancham Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Pancham from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  This is the first of two Pancham cards I'll be reviewing from this set.  Pancham is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. This Pancham does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move that this card has is called Bad Influence Evolution and for one colorless energy card it says that if you have any darkness Pokemon on your bench you can search your deck for Pangoro and put it on Pancham.  Pancham's second move is called Confront, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one fighting, and does 30 damage.

However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, and haven't reviewed the second Pancham card from this set yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution and not knowing anything about the other Pancham card.  So, on its own I would avoid this card at all costs, since its first move, Bad Influence Evolution, needs to have Pangoro in your deck and its second move, Confront does underwhelming damage for the amount of energy cards required to attack.  Ideally you could use this card with Pangoro and use Bad Influence Evolution immediately when it is in the active Pokemon spot, but if you don't have Pangoro in your deck you can't do this, so I wouldn't waste my time putting three energy cards on this card just to do 30 damage, you can definitely find better cards out there to use in your deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, this is a miserable Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set that should absolutely not be used if you aren't planning on using Pangoro with it.  This card does have an average HP and low retreat cost, but both moves it has are horrid which makes this card unplayable on its own in my opinion.

Landorus -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Landorus Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Landorus from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Landorus is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 120, it has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Landorus does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Shout out Power, for one fighting energy card this move does 20 damage, plus it allows you to move an energy card from your discard pile to one of your benched Pokemon.  Landorus's second move is called Sky Lariant, for three energy cards, two fighting and one colorless, this move does 90 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Landorus is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, I would highly recommend using many of these cards, potentially up to 4, as a starter type Pokemon card for your deck.  I say this because you can move Landorus into the active Pokemon spot right away and do 20 damage for only one energy card then after a few turns be able to do 90 damage a turn.  You can't go wrong with a starter Pokemon being able to do 20 damage a turn in a deck, plus add in the fact Landorus has a really high HP, low retreat cost, and that it can get discarded energy cards and this card is an amazing Basic Pokemon card and one that should be in every single fighting type deck out there.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is one of the best starter type, Basic Pokemon cards from the Furious Fists set.  I said the same thing about Hitmonlee from this set, but this Landorus card is much better than that card.  I would highly recommend using this card in a deck, you can't go wrong being able to do 20 damage for one energy card and 90 damage for three.  So make sure to include this card in your fighting type deck if you want to be able to do a ton of damage very quickly in your deck.

Mienshao -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Mienshao Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Mienshao from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Mienshao is a stage 1, fighting type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Mienshao does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Aero Turn, for one fighting energy card this move does 40 damage, however after using this move you must return Mienshao and all cards attached to it back into your hand.  Mienshao's second move is called High Jump Kick, this move does 40 damage for two colorless energy cards.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Mienshao is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Mienfoo into play (I reviewed Mienfoo from this set yesterday) and then evolve Mienfoo into Mienshao.  If you read yesterday's review of Mienshao, you'll know that I thought that card was an average to slightly below average Basic Pokemon card, but I still wouldn't use the card in a deck on its own since it could do 30 damage a turn but relied on a coin flip.  So knowing this about Mienfoo and looking at this Mienshao card, if you just need two Pokemon cards into your fighting type deck, this line wouldn't be a bad choice, you could use a 1-1 line of Mienfoo and Mienshao and try and get Mienshao into the active Pokemon quickly and be able to do 40 damage a turn, then when it is close to getting knocked out switch from using High Jump Kick to Aero Turn and return this card to your hand.  If you aren't just looking for 2 cards to use, I would look elsewhere for a fighting type Pokemon line to use.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an average to slightly below average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  This card really doesn't have any negatives about it, but it doesn't have anything great about it either.  The card has an average HP, low retreat cost, and two pretty average moves.  Even though I gave both Mienfoo and Mienshao 3 out of 5 ratings, together I would only give them a 2 rating and would probably avoid this line when building a deck.

Mienfoo -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Mienfoo Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Mienfoo from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Mienfoo is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Mienfoo does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move that this card has is called Flop, for one fighting energy card this move does 10 damage.  Mienfoo's second move is called Lunge and for two colorless energy cards this move does 30 damage.  However, you must flip a coin when using this move and if you get a tails the move does nothing.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Mienfoo is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Mienshao, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own I could definitely see myself using this card in a fighting type deck as a starter type Pokemon, but there are definitely better Basic Pokemon cards I could be using and would definitely try to use one of those first, like any of the Hitmon Pokemon from this set.  If you do choose to use this card in a deck, I wouldn't include more than 1 if you aren't using Mienshao, I would try and get it into the active Pokemon spot early and use Flop most turns unless you can knock out the defending Pokemon by doing 30 damage then I may risk the coin flip and try and hope for a heads when using Lunge.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, this is an average to slightly below average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  This card definitely has some positives on it like its low retreat cost, the fact it has two moves, and that it can do up to 30 damage per turn.  However this card isn't the greatest because Flop can turn out to be a flop a not do any damage at all, thus making this card not as usable as it should be.  So if you're looking for a fighting type Pokemon card to use, I would probably look elsewhere, but this card wouldn't be the worst to use.

Mega Lucario EX -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Mega Lucario Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Mega Lucario EX from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Mega Lucario EX is a Mega Evolution, EX, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 220. It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Mega Lucario does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Rising Fist, for three energy cards, this move requires three fighting type energy cards and does 140 damage, plus it allows you to discard an energy card attached to your opponent's active Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
Before I start with the strategy, remember that this card is a Mega Evolution card and an EX card so if you use this card in your deck and it gets knocked out, your opponent gets to take two prize cards instead of one and when you evolve an EX card into its Mega Evolution, your turn ends, you cannot do anything else.  So knowing these things, you'll always want to use Mega Evolution cards with caution, with that being said, I would highly recommend using this Mega Lucario card with Lucario EX, because not only was Lucario EX dominant on its own, putting one of these Mega cards in your deck will make you that much more dominant.  I think it is worth losing out on a turn to pump up Lucario's HP by 40 and increase the damage it does per turn by 40.  You should be able to one hit knock out most Pokemon cards by using Rising Fist every turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a wonderful Mega EX card and one of my favorite Mega EX cards Nintendo has made so far.  This card can really be dominant in a deck so I would definitely recommend using this card.  Pair it with Lucario EX from this set and you're deck will be one of the most powerful decks out there.  Of course, together I would give Lucario EX and Mega Lucario EX from this set a 5 out of 5 rating, you can't go wrong with these cards.

Lucario EX -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Lucario EX Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Lucario EX and Lucario EX Full Art from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Lucario EX is a basic, EX, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 180. It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Lucario does not have an Ability but it does have three moves.  The first move that this card has is called Missile Jab, for one fighting energy card this move does 30 damage.  Lucario's second move is called Corkscrew Smash, it requires two fighting type energy cards and does 60 damage plus it allows you to draw cards from your deck until you have six cards in your hand.  Lucario's final move is called Somersault Kick, this move requires three fighting type energy cards and does 100 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, because Lucario EX is a basic Pokemon card you won't need to use any other cards with this card.  But remember, because this card is an EX card, if this card is knocked out, two prize cards are taken instead of one.  However, Lucario does have a mega evolution you could use from this set and I will be reviewing that card tomorrow, so this strategy below will act like Lucario EX does not have an evolution.  So knowing this, on its own, I would definitely include at least one of these cards in a fighting type deck.  The reason I would definitely use one of these cards in a deck is because you can basically use this EX card as a starter type Pokemon, you can use Missile Jab the first turn, Corkscrew Smash the second, and Somersault Kick the third.  Then once you have three energy cards on Lucario, I would use Somersault Kick most turns, unless you need cards in your hand then I would use Corkscrew Smash.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is one of the best EX Pokemon cards from the Furious Fists set and deserves my best rating.  There really isn't anything I don't like about this card, this card has a great HP, and three terrific moves.  This card is very quick yet is very powerful, and this is a card a deck could be built around without a problem.  So if you're building a fighting type deck, make sure to include this card in your deck.

Trapinch -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Trapinch Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Trapinch from the Furious Fists set.  Trapinch is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Trapinch does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Mountain Munch, this move requires one fighting energy card and allows you to discard the top card of your opponent's deck.  Trapinch's second move is called Mud-Slap, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 10 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Trapinch is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Vibrava and a stage 2 evolution in Flygon, which I'll be reviewing in the next few weeks since those two Pokemon are both dragon type Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, I probably wouldn't use this card since it can only do 10 damage maximum and it needs two energy cards to do this.  If I were using this card with at least Vibrava I would definitely want to use this card more.  If you do decide to use this card in your deck, I would use 1 maybe 2 of these cards, try to get one of them into the active Pokemon to start the game, discard a bunch of your opponent's deck using Mountain Munch, then either retreat Trapinch for a more powerful Pokemon on your bench, or add another energy card to it and use Mud-Slap.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average to slightly below average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  Even though I personally wouldn't use this card in a deck on its own, I am still giving this card a decent rating because it has an average HP, low retreat cost, and two moves, one being above average and one being below average.  So overall, if you're looking for a fighting type Pokemon card to put in your deck, this one definitely deserves a look, but there are definitely better cards out there to use.

Hariyama -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Hariyama Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Hariyama from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Hariyama is a stage 1, fighting type Pokemon card, with an hp of 120.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a four colorless energy card retreat cost.  Hariyama's Ability is called Thick Fat and says that any damage done to Hariyama by fire or water type Pokemon is reduced by 30.  Besides the Ability, Hariyama has one move called Rocket Slap, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one fighting, and does 80 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Hariyama is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Makuhita into play (I reviewed Makuhita from this set yesterday) and then evolve Makuhita into Hariyama.  If you read yesterday's review of Golett, you'll know that I thought that card was a below average Basic Pokemon because even though it had a high HP, mainly because both of its moves were below average and the retreat cost on the card was extremely high.  So knowing this about Makuhita and looking at this Hariyama card, if you decide to use this line in a deck, I would highly recommend setting up Makuhita and evolving it into Hariyama on the bench, then I would make sure to have at least 3 energy cards on Hariyama before moving it to the active Pokemon spot, allowing you to use Rocket Slap right away.  Water and fire type Pokemon are pretty prevalent in decks, so you may be able to utilize Hariyama's Ability quite often making its HP of 120 seem even higher.  This card definitely isn't a bad card and I could see myself using a 1-1 line of this family in a deck.  Once you get Hariyama set up it is a very powerful attacker, but just note you need to have four energy cards to retreat it, and the most energy cards it requires to attack are three.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  I think this is an above average card because Hariyama has an above average HP, one good move, and an Ability that can be very effective.  I would definitely consider using this card in a deck, however when combining it with Makuhita from this set, which I gave a 2 rating, I would only give the family a 3 out of 5 rating, so you can definitely find better lines out there to use.

Makuhita -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Makuhita Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Makuhita from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Makuhita is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 80.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Makuhita does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move that this card has is called Punch which requires one fighting energy card and does 10 damage.  Makuhita's second move is called Strength, and for three energy cards, two colorless and one fighting, this move does 40 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Makuhita is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Hariyama, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own I can not recommend using this card in a deck.  The main reason for saying this is because you need three energy cards on Makuhita to retreat it, and I would mainly use this card as a starter Pokemon, and use Punch right away and then evolve it, I wouldn't use this card on its own.  However, if you choose to, you can still put it in the active Pokemon spot early in the game, you would just have to use Punch a couple of turns before being able to use Strength, but you're going to want to get three energy cards on Makuhita so you can retreat it, and so you can use Strength, even though Strength is an under powered move on this card.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, this is below average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  There are definitely some positives on this card like its high HP and the fact it has two moves, but overall the retreat cost is too high for my liking and neither move is very good, so I would recommend looking elsewhere for a fighting type Pokemon to use in your deck.

Breloom -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Breloom Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Breloom from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Breloom is a stage 1, fighting type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Breloom does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Giga Drain, for two colorless energy cards this move does 20 damage plus you may heal the same amount of damage you did to the opposing Pokemon with this move from Breloom.  Breloom's second move is called Sky Uppercut, this move requires three energy cards, two fighting and one colorless, and does 70 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Breloom is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Shroomish into play (I reviewed Shroomish from this set about a month ago) and then evolve Shroomish into Breloom.  If you read my review of Breloom, you'll know that I thought that card was a below average Basic Pokemon mainly because it was very limited in what it could do, since it only had the one move that did 10 damage total, no Ability or anything else.  So when looking at this Breloom card to combine with that Shroomish card, the first thing you should notice is that these two Pokemon have different types, but even though Shroomish is a grass type card, it requires only colorless energy so you can easily use it in a fighting type deck.  Since Breloom is a decent card, I would recommend using a 1-1 or 2-2 line of these two Pokemon in a deck if you're building a fighting type one.  You could then start the game with Shroomish in the active Pokemon spot and then evolve it there into Breloom, or set up this Pokemon line on the bench.  Of course with this Breloom card, the move I would want to use would be Sky Uppercut because it does so much damage, but if you can knock out the defending Pokemon in 20 damage or less, make sure to use Giga Drain to heal damage from Breloom.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  I like how this card has an above average HP, lower retreat cost, and two moves, one being average (Giga Drain) and one being above average (Sky Uppercut).  This card could easily be used in a fighting type deck, and together with Shroomish from this set which I gave a 2 out of 5 rating, I would give a rating of 3 out of 5, it is an average Pokemon line overall.

Hitmontop -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Hitmontop Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Hitmontop from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Hitmontop is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 90, it has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Hitmontop does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Quick Draw which allows you to draw a card from your deck for one colorless energy card.  Hitmontop's second move is called Helicoptero which requires three energy cards, two colorless and one fighting, and does 40 damage, additionally you have to switch Hitmontop with one of your benched Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Hitmontop is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, I wouldn't recommend using this card in a deck.  I say this because both of the moves Hitmontop has are pretty weak.  It may work well to draw another card with Hitmontop's Draw move very early in the game, but you don't want to use a starter type Pokemon card just to draw a card, and since Hitmontop doesn't evolve I wouldn't want to put three energy cards on this card just to be able to do below average damage and then have to go to the bench when using Helicoptero.  So unless you're just looking for one more fighting type Pokemon card to use in your deck, I would look elsewhere for Pokemon, I would definitely recommend Hitmonlee then Hitmonchan if you're looking for Basic fighting type Pokemon cards to use in your deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set and well below the greatness of the other to Hitmon Pokemon in this set.  Like the other two Pokemon with similar names, this card has a high HP and low retreat cost, plus two moves, however, neither move on this card is that great, thus making this card unusable in my opinion.

Hitmonchan -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Hitmonchan Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Hitmonchan from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Hitmonchan is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 90, it has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Hitmonchan does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Bullet Punch, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 20 damage plus 20 more damage for each heads you get when you flip 2 coins, so they move could do up to 60 damage total.  Hitmonchan's second move is called Mach Cross, this move requires three energy cards to use, two colorless and one fighting, and does 60 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Hitmonchan is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, you can definitely use this card in a deck but it isn't as good of a card as yesterday's Hitmonlee.  I would potentially put 1 of this Hitmonchan card into a fighting type deck and get it into the active Pokemon spot somewhat early in the game.  I would get two energy cards on it first and use Bullet Punch, then use Mach Cross every turn after that.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a very good Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  There isn't anything that I dislike about this card, it has a high HP, a low retreat cost, and two good moves.  This card is just a little bit worse than the Hitmonlee card I reviewed yesterday because it is a little slower, but overall I would highly recommend using this card in a deck.

Hitmonlee -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Hitmonlee Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Hitmonlee from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Hitmonlee is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 90, it has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Hitmonlee does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Stretch Kick, for one fighting energy card this move does 30 damage to one of your opponent's benched Pokemon.  Hitmonlee's second move is called Spiral Kick, this move does 30 damage for two fighting type energy cards.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Hitmonlee is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, this card would work perfectly as a starter type Pokemon or in a spread damage type deck.  If I were building a fighting type deck, I would definitely include at least 2 of these Hitmonlee cards in my deck.  Not only is Hitmonlee extremely fast, but it can do 30 damage for only one energy card, and 30 damage to any of your opponent's Pokemon for only 2 energy cards total.  I would try and get this card into the active Pokemon spot early, use Stretch Kick as many times as you can, all while setting up a more powerful Pokemon on the bench, then retreat Hitmonlee and move that more powerful Pokemon into the active Pokemon spot and hopefully be able to one hit knock out your opponent's Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is one of the best starter type, Basic Pokemon cards from the Furious Fists set.  There isn't anything that I dislike about this card.  It has a high HP, low retreat cost, and two great moves.  I like that Hitmonlee can attack any of your opponent's Pokemon, regardless of where they are at in play.  And being able to do 30 damage for one energy card is a fantastic ability and one that should be utilized by including Hitmonlee in plenty of your fighting type decks.

Machamp -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Machamp Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Machamp from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Machamp is a stage 2, fighting type Pokemon card, with an hp of 150.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Machamp's Ability is called Fighting Fury and gives all of your fighting type Pokemon 20 more damage to their attacks when attacking your opponent's active Pokemon.  Besides the Ability, Machamp just has one move called Machamp Crush, this move requires three fighting energy cards and does 80 damage.  Plus during your opponent's next turn, any attacks done to Machamp are reduced by 40.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Machamp is a stage 2 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Machop into play and then evolve it into Machoke before you can evolve Machoke into Machamp, both of those Pokemon are from this set and I've reviewed both of them the last couple of days.  If you've read my reviews of those cards you'll know that I thought both cards were below average, both cards had good HP but were limited on what they could do and had high retreat costs.  So knowing this about both of those cards and looking at this Machamp card, if you're building a fighting type deck, this card is a must have in your deck.  Not only can it do above average damage for only 3 energy cards, but its Ability will make all of your fighting type Pokemon that much better.  Because the first two Pokemon in this line aren't that great, I would set up this line on the bench, putting a 2-2-2 line in my deck.  I would try and keep one Machamp on the bench to use its Ability and I would use this other one in the active Pokemon spot.  When you do get Machamp in the active Pokemon spot your only choice is to use Machamp Crush every turn.  A good thing about this card is that if you decide to retreat Machamp, you'll only have to give up two energy cards, so you'll still have one energy card on it when it is on the bench.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an excellent Stage 2 Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set, and a card that can be used to build a fighting type deck around.  There isn't anything that I dislike about this card, it has a high HP, decent retreat cost, and amazing Ability, and a very good move.  However, when you combine this card with Machop and Machoke from this set, I would only give the entire line a 4 out of 5 rating, you still want to use this line in a deck, but just make sure you know that Machop and Machoke aren't the greatest in this set.

Machoke -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Machoke Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Machoke from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card set.  Machoke is a stage 1, fighting type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Machoke does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Beatdown.  This move requires two fighting energy cards and does 40 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Machoke is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Machop into play (I reviewed Machop from this set yesterday) and then evolve Machop into Machoke.  Machoke does have a stage 2 evolution in Machamp that you'll probably want to use with this Pokemon line but since I haven't reviewed that card yet, the strategy below will act like Machoke is the final evolution in this line.  So if you read yesterday's review of Machop, you'll know that I thought that card was a below average Basic Pokemon card.  The main reason I didn't like the card was that the retreat cost on the card was higher than the energy cost of its only move, which only did 10 damage.  So knowing this about Machop and looking at this Machoke card, if you're in need of 2 Pokemon cards to fill your fighting type deck, Machop and Machoke would fill your need, but they wouldn't be my first choice to do so.  You could use a 1-1 line of these Pokemon and move Machop right to the active Pokemon spot when you get it, attach one energy card to it, use its only attack, then try and evolve it into Machoke as soon as possible, attach one more energy card to Machoke and use Beatdown every turn.  If you can get Machoke into the active Pokemon spot early in the game, you can do a fair amount of damage doing 40 damage a turn, but later in the game this card won't do that much only doing 40 damage.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is a below average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  This card is above average early in the game since it has one quick move that does 40 damage, but later on as the game progresses you're going to want a card that can do a bit more than 40 damage a turn.  So overall, I gave Machop and Machoke each 2 ratings individually and combined I would also give them a 2 rating.

Machop -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Machop Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Machop from the Furious Fists set.  Machop is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Machop does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Knuckle Punch, for one fighting energy card this move does 10 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Machop is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Machoke and a stage 2 evolution in Machamp, which I'll be reviewing the next two days, you'll more than likely want to use those cards with this Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, I wouldn't recommend using this card in a deck.  I say this because even though Machop has an above average HP, it is very limited move wise since it only has one move and the only move it has can only do a maximum of 10 damage.  Plus, if you put this card into the active Pokemon spot, you're going to have to attach two energy cards to it to retreat it.  If you do choose to use this card in your deck, only use one of these cards, try to get it into the active Pokemon spot early in the game and use Knuckle Punch every turn, then when you get one of your benched Pokemon set up, retreat Machop for that Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  Like I mentioned above, the only positive on this card is that it has a high HP.  Otherwise, the move it has is just average and cannot do much damage, and the retreat cost on this card is too high to warrant use.  So if you're building a fighting type deck, you're bound to find a better Basic Pokemon card out there than this card.

Golurk -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Golurk Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Golurk from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Golurk is a stage 1, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 130.  It has a x2 weakness to darkness type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a four colorless energy card retreat cost.  Golurk does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Wreck, for three energy cards, two colorless and one psychic, this move does 60 damage plus if there is a Stadium card in play this move does 60 more damage plus you can discard the Stadium card in play.  Golurk's second move is called Golurk Hammer, this move requires four energy cards, three colorless and one psychic, and does 100 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Golurk is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Golett into play (I reviewed Golett from this set yesterday) and then evolve Golett into Golurk.  If you read yesterday's review of Golett, you'll know that I thought that card was a below average Basic Pokemon because even though it had a high HP, it had two below average moves and a really high retreat cost.  So on its own I didn't recommend using it.  So knowing this about Golett and looking at this Golurk card, I would recommend using this card in a deck, but wouldn't use more than a 1-1 line of Golett and Golurk.  I would make sure to set up both Pokemon in this line on the bench, get at least 3 energy cards on Golurk before moving it to the active Pokemon spot, then use Wreck if there is a Stadium card in play and Golurk Hammer every other turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  I think this is an above average card because Golurk's HP is extremely high and it has two moves that do above average damage.  You'll have to be weary when using this card that it will take awhile to attack since the fastest move Golurk has is 3 energy cards and if you want to retreat Golurk you'll have to give up 4 energy cards.  Overall, I would give the  line of Golett and Golurk from this set a 3 out of 5 rating, I gave Gollet a 2 rating.  So I would recommend using this Pokemon family in a deck, but wouldn't use more than one of each card.
