Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Hitmonchan from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set. Hitmonchan is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 90, it has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Hitmonchan does not have an Ability but it does have two moves. The first move that this card has is called Bullet Punch, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 20 damage plus 20 more damage for each heads you get when you flip 2 coins, so they move could do up to 60 damage total. Hitmonchan's second move is called Mach Cross, this move requires three energy cards to use, two colorless and one fighting, and does 60 damage.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Hitmonchan is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card. With that being said, you can definitely use this card in a deck but it isn't as good of a card as yesterday's Hitmonlee. I would potentially put 1 of this Hitmonchan card into a fighting type deck and get it into the active Pokemon spot somewhat early in the game. I would get two energy cards on it first and use Bullet Punch, then use Mach Cross every turn after that.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating. In my opinion, this is a very good Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set. There isn't anything that I dislike about this card, it has a high HP, a low retreat cost, and two good moves. This card is just a little bit worse than the Hitmonlee card I reviewed yesterday because it is a little slower, but overall I would highly recommend using this card in a deck.
