Goodra -- Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Review

Guardians Rising Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Goodra from the Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Set.  Goodra is a Stage 2, Dragon type Pokemon card, with a HP of 160.  It has a x2 weakness to Fairy type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  This card does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move on this card is called Power Whip, for one Colorless Energy card, this move does 20 damage times the amount of Energy attached to this Pokemon to one of your opponent's Pokemon.  Beat Slider is the name of this card's second move, for three Energy cards, one each of Water, Fairy, and Colorless, this move does 130 damage, plus your opponent must switch their Active Pokemon with one of their Benched Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Goodra is a Stage 2 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Goomy into play and then evolve it into Sliggoo before you can evolve Sliggoo into Goodra, both of those Pokemon are from this set and I've reviewed both of them the last two days.  If you've read my reviews of those cards you'll know that I thought both cards were below average overall.  Both Pokemon had well below average HP and both Pokemon were slow on the attack, when trying to do damage, plus each card required two distinct types of Energy cards to attack.  Knowing this about the first two Pokemon in this line and looking at this Goodra card, you'll first notice that this card also requires Fairy and Water type Energy, so if you're building this type of dual type, this line should be considered, otherwise it is harder to fit into a deck.  The main reason you'd include this Goodra card in your deck is if you're building a spread attack type deck.  Both moves on this card has the potential to attack a wide variety of your opponent's Pokemon, Power Whip you get to choose, and Beat Slider, your opponent gets to choose which new Pokemon to put in the Active Pokemon spot.  So, essentially, if you're not building a spread attack type deck, there is no reason to use this Pokemon or line in a deck, and if you do use this entire line, because Goomy and Sliggoo are so poor, try and evolve this entire line on the Bench.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an average Stage 2 Pokemon card from the Guardians Rising set.  I certainly like both moves on this card, and this card can do major damage overall if given time to be set up, but because this is a Stage 2 Pokemon with two poor prior evolution forms, I can't give this line more than a 2 out of 5 combined rating, and it should only be used in a spread attack type deck.
