Oricorio #14/145 -- Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Review

Oricorio Guardians Rising Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Oricorio from the Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Set.  Oricorio is a Basic, Fire type Pokemon card with a HP of 90.  Oricorio has a x2 weakness to Water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  Oricorio does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  Passionate Dance is the first move that this card has, for one Fire Energy card this move allows you to search your deck for up to 3 Basic Fire Energy cards and attach them to your Bench Pokemon.  Oricorio's second move is called Kindle, for two Fire Energy cards this move does 30 damage, if you decide to discard an Energy attached to Oricorio, your opponent also must discard an Energy card attached to their Active Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Oricorio is a Basic Pokemon card with no evolution forms, you'll only have to use this card in a deck if you want to use Oricorio.  So knowing this, if you're building a majority Fire type deck, I would highly recommend using this card as a starter type Pokemon, since you can use Passionate Dance to quickly set up your Bench Pokemon.  Plus, if you are using 4 Burning Energy cards in your deck, when using Kindle, you can discard an Energy card every turn, making your opponent discard an Energy and having your Burning Energy return to Oricorio after discarding it.  So even though I don't like the fact there are so many Oricorio cards in this set, I am a big fan of this card, and it is worth a look when deck building.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion this is an excellent Basic Pokemon card from the Guardians Rising set.  Like I mentioned above, this card makes for an excellent starter type Pokemon card in the TCG since it can add Energy cards to your Bench Pokemon quickly, and it can do damage plus make your opponent discard Energy when attacking with Kindle.  Overall, I would highly recommend this card for your deck.
