Anorith -- Steam Siege Pokemon Card Review

Anorith Steam Siege Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Anorith from the Steam Siege Pokemon Card Set.  Anorith is a restored, fighting type Pokemon card with a HP of 80.  It has a x2 weakness to grass type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Anorith's Ability is called Restored Barrier and says that each of your restored Pokemon have no weakness.  Besides the Ability, Anorith just has one move called X-Scizzor, this move does 20 damage for one colorless energy card, plus 20 more damage if you get a heads when flipping a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Anorith is a restored Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Armaldo, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own, of course you'll have to use this card with the Claw Fossil Anorith trainer from the Steam Siege set, since that is the only way to get Anorith on the bench.  That card itself allows you to look at the bottom 7 cards of your deck and move a Anorith you find there to your bench.  This card is very similar to the restored Pokemon cards from the Fates Collide set in how to get them into play.  So unfortunately, if this card were easier to get into play, it would be a great starter type Pokemon, doing up to 40 damage a turn for any energy card you would want to use.  However, since you have to add in essentially 1 trainer card for every Anorith you want in play, unless you plan on getting the same Anorith back onto your bench multiple times from the discard pile, I would be cautious on using too many of these in a deck.  Even though this card can do major damage for one energy card, because this card is a restored card, I would only use a 1-1 line at most, but a Trick Coin trainer would definitely help you with X-Scissor.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Armaldo, this is an average Restored Pokemon card.  Outside of the fact you need a trainer card to get this card into play, and that this card is limited in what it can do, the one move that this card does have is very solid, plus the card has a good Ability, especially if you're using multiple restored Pokemon, has an above average HP, and can attack with any energy type.  So overall, this card is worth a look when deck building.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:
