Today's Pokemon Card Review is of M Scizor EX from the BREAKpoint Pokemon Card Set. M Scizor EX is a Mega Evolution, EX, metal type Pokemon card with an hp of 220. It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. M Scizor does not have an Ability and it only has one move. The only move that this card has is called Iron Crusher and for two metal type energy cards this move does 120 damage, plus it allows you to discard a special energy card attached to the active Pokemon or a stadium card in play.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
Before I start with the strategy, remember that this card is a Mega Evolution card and an EX card so if you use this card in your deck and it gets knocked out, your opponent gets to take two prize cards instead of one and when you evolve an EX card into its Mega Evolution, your turn ends, you cannot do anything else. So knowing these things, you'll always want to use Mega Evolution cards with caution, with that being said, you'll always want to use the appropriate Spirit Link trainer card do evolve the EX card into its Mega EX form so you don't have to end your turn. Knowing that Scizor EX from this set isn't all that powerful, if you're looking to play this Mega EX card, it would be a much better plan to set this line up on the bench, using a 1-1 line of this family in a metal type deck. All you need is two energy cards on this card and you can do a huge amount of damage every turn. So like I said, if you're building a metal type deck, this card should definitely be in it, being able to do 120 damage for only two energy cards is a great move and one that is quick enough you can start using this move just two turns into the game.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating. In my opinion, this is a powerful attacking Mega EX Pokemon card from the BREAKpoint set. Even though Scizor EX was a bit weaker from this set than what I'd like to see, I would still highly recommend using both of these Pokemon together in a metal type deck. Together, I would give this line a 4 out of 5 rating, it is very good.

ReplyDeleteI like Mega Scizor in the games and I hyper trained mine. Didn't anyone else find this card extremely underwhelming? I mean one attack of 120 out of a mega evolution... It isn't hard to find mega pokemon pumps out damage over 150 or even over 200 damage. Lastly, if you think about it, isn't the effect of the one move kinda conditional usage?
