Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Glameow from the BREAKpoint Pokemon Card Set. Glameow is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 60. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Glameow does not have an Ability but it does have two moves. The first move that this card has is called Act Cute, for one colorless energy card this move makes your opponent put one of their cards in their hand to the bottom of their deck. Glameow's second move is called Scratch and for two energy cards, both colorless, this move does 20 damage.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Glameow is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Purugly, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon. However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution. So, on its own, since this is a colorless type Pokemon card it can be used in any type deck. I just wish this card could do damage for one energy card, but you could still use this card as a starter type Pokemon and hope to have your opponent move a high priority card from their hand back into their deck with Act Cute the first turn then after that use Scratch every turn. Or, if you're using a Double Colorless energy card, you could use Scratch the first turn.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating. So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Purugly, this is an average Basic Pokemon card. This card doesn't have any strong negatives or positives about it, but more of a happy medium type of card. It has a solid HP, low retreat cost, and two average moves. Add in the fact it requires only colorless energy cards and this card is worth consideration in a deck.
