Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Xerneas from the BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Set. Xerneas is a basic, fairy type Pokemon card with an hp of 120, it has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to darkness type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Xerneas does not have an Ability but it does have two moves. The first move that this card has is called Rainbow Force, for three energy cards, two colorless and one fairy, and does 10 damage plus 30 more damage for each different type of Pokemon on your bench. Xerneas' second move is called Power Creations and for four energy cards, two each of fairy and colorless, this move does 80 damage plus 80 more damage if this card was healed during the turn you use this move.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Xerneas is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card. With that being said, because this card requires so many energy cards to attack, meaning it is slow on the attack, if you decide to use this card in your deck, definitely do not use more than 1, set it up on the bench, and use it in at least a dual type deck, and one that has a Pokemon with an Ability that heals all of your Pokemon. If you include Xerneas in a deck like this, you can probably do 100 damage a turn with Rainbow Force and 160 damage a turn with Power Creations. So, if you have some patience, and include Xerneas in the right type of deck, this card can be very powerful and do a good amount of damage each turn.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating. In my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the BREAKthrough set. Even though this card has an above average HP and two powerful moves, the reason I'm giving this card an average rating is because its attack are pretty slow to set up, and require some additional factors to be able to do a good amount of damage. So, if you're building a fairy type deck, this is definitely a card to consider.
