Wobbuffet -- BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Review

Wobbuffet BREAKthrough Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Wobbuffet from the BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Set.  Wobbuffet is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 100, it has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Wobbuffet does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Mirror Barrier and for one colorless energy card this move prevents all damage done to Wobbuffet during your opponent's next turn if you get a heads when flipping a coin.  Wobbuffet's second move is called Rolling Tackle and for three energy cards, two psychic and one colorless, this move does 50 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Wobbuffet is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, the main reason I would use this card is for its Mirror Barrier move.  I would attach a Trick Coin trainer to this card, move Wobbuffet into the active Pokemon spot to start the game and hope I would get a heads every turn when using Mirror Barrier so that Wobbuffet wouldn't be damaged and it would give you time to set up your bench.  Other than for this purpose, there is no other reason to use Wobbuffet in a deck since Rolling Tackle does below average damage for the amount of energy it requires.  When building a deck, at most I would consider using one of these in a deck, the main reason I wouldn't use many of this card is because its retreat cost is so high.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the BREAKthrough set.  This card does have some positives like its high HP, and the potential of preventing all damage from your opponent, but the negatives outweigh the positives on this card with a very high retreat cost, a coin flip based move, and an under powered move in Rolling Tackle.  So although you could definitely use Wobbuffet in a deck, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
